well, that's MY opinion, dude. i'm not saying the music sucks but it makes the game SO BORING! and the checkpoint placement made the game even more tedious. It's a good game but i'd rather play Bloodlines, Dracula X or Rondo of Blood any day.

nope, I wasn't high. Castlevania 4 is good but i think it's BORING. the control is nice but not really necesary. the music is meh (with the exception of 2 or 3 songs). and the Checkpoint placement makes the game more tedious. i find Dracula X, Rondo of Blood and Bloodlines A LOT more fun than Castlevania 4. but that's just my opinion.

Super Castlevania IV is the best in the series in my opinion. It was simple yet satisfying, it took scary and challenging to a whole new level. If you died, it was YOUR fault, not the game's, because the control is PERFECT. It was a game that simply couldn't have been handled better.

Yeah Simon's Quest is far from the worst game in the series. It helped establish the groundwork for all the MetroidVanias including SOTN. I've played almost all of the games and feel safe in saying that the worst are Castlevania Adventure and Harmony of Dissonance. Adventure is freaking broken and HoD is as boring as it is confusing. The only games in the series more unjustly maligned than Simon's Quest are the N64 ones, which are actually great 3D ClassicVanias and way better than LoI & CoD.

As many times as you may have died from being knocked back maybe you should take into account that it's the purpose of a game to have obsticles that the player needs to overcome, If one of those obsticles continues to bother you then you should simply practice until you're good enough to overcome that obsticle. In any case game that make things too easy get really boring in a short amount of time.
