Whoever told you that either bought fake ones, or just don't take care of their shoes. I respect mine, the worse thing that i've encountered is the laces catching the Velcro, they may lose a bit of fuzz that way, but they're still VERY STRONG after all my games and practices. These shoes are worn by at least 1/5 of the nba players lol
