I was on a night-flight in a Grumman Yankee with my dad and his CFI for my 8th birthday and we were involved in a near-midair-collision when a KingAir went rogue and cut us off, we flew through its wash and got thrown everywhere. Being 8 and tossed about, I panicked, screamed and grabbed the nearest thing: the CFI's neck, nearly choking him to death! But we survived and I apologized to the instructor, who forgave me. Hey, I was only 8! LOL
What you talking about? Have they changed the laws recently? I used to fly single engine IFR at night in 2005. I remember at the time it was illegal in france but legal in the UK. Is it illegal in the UK too now?
Apologies, after checking it was Single Engine Helicopters that were not allowed to go IFR under UK law. Thought it was a bit weird considering all the Piper Arrows sitting around on the apron with IFR gear lol.
That's good to hear. My licence lapsed and I was thinking about renewing it. I love night flying and I dont wanna have to pay for a twin rating and then twice the hourly cost to rent one.
@KielTheOneNdOnly For me it was quite diferent. The runway is easy mistaken with a paralel road... only when you turn to final, i have sure that is a runway.

Don't see that very often!
Mostly because we suck here in the UK and dont allow IFR / Night without an extra Engine for safety lol.
