Lots of victims of ause and neglect overcome adversity and go out into the world and make something of themselves.Unfortunately, many others, as we see in this individual, believe they can bully their way to success. I'm not sure why this person is constantly reminding us of his hard-time beginnings. Perhaps he's just using his "poor me" story as an excuse for his failings?

This is an amazing man- he knows ALL ABOUT HARD TIMES but he also knows what it takes to make his life work and now he's governor of Maine! Maine is a very smart state! Maine also scored low in the area that evaluated state policies aimed at training and retaining good teachers, ranking 31st. While Maine's ranking slipped to 27th in the report that grades the 50 states and Washington, D.C., in six policy areas, including academic standards, teacher quality, school finance and overall achievement.

Maine ranked 21st in 2010.
