Never give up I was at one point about 460n pounds last year , I was over a size 6x now Im a 1x around 225-230 . Weight lifting and plan of eating is key . I get up around 345 to workout before work. i'm currently about 400lbs and i want to lose weight so badly but I can't break the food habbit and i can't get to a gym, plus there's nowhere for me to go to walk as it's all main roads and no foot paths around where i live.
@Psyrexkc The general goal for you should be to gain muscle and lose fat. I have no clue how much muscle your body is covered in but forcing the body to carry around 200 kg constantly should mean that you're not by any means week and have a pretty decent metabolism(Due to the amount of muscle). What you should do is cut down your portions. But that's easier said than done in your case I guess. Excercise is not your biggest concern atm, rather it is to control your portions.
@Psyrexkc Try to eat meals as often as you can, meaning about 6 times a day. What this does is trick your body feeling it's full so you don't feel like you're starving and eat alot at lunch, dinner or at night. Also it causes your stomach to hit overload and burn of alot of extra calories(Digesting food needs alot of energy). If possible, your plate should be about as big as your fists curled up combined. That might be feel little but is enough for you to not be hungry.
@Psyrexkc The most important thing when it comes to eating is to not eat til you're full, but to eat til you're not hungry anymore. For some weeks to a month or anything, try to maintain your normal eating habits but controlling your portions and eat at regular times. Example, Breakfast, snack, Lunch, snack, Dinner, snack, something with closet o no traces of carbohydrates before you go to bed.
What to eat, in the start, eat what you normally do and you will lose weight.
@Henrikswanstrom As time goes by though you will have to start cutting of what you eat and make healthier decisions. But you don't have to eliminate your favourite dishes. Start of substiuting a meal or to every day for something healthy. Start of the day as usual, then at lunch, have grilled chicken and wholegrain brown rice with peanutbuttersweetchilisauce et.c. Next day, have a piece of steak with sweetpotatoes and some low cal barbuque sauce from the store.

@Henrikswanstrom There's something known as the substution method. Where you substitute something you eat or drink often with something healthy. It's very simple and extremely effective.
Say you drink softdrinks or beer alot every day. You simply substitute that with water everytime you drink.
Have brown rice instead of white rice, sweet potatoes instead of normal potatoes and wholegrain pasta instead of regular pasta.
@Psyrexkc Say you drink about 2 litre of softdrinks or beer everyday. That's alot of calories, about 1000. Simply drinking water everyday instead could cause you to lose up to 5 lbs every week, just from cutting that alone.
Also, drink alot of water, if possible, have a glass of water every hour. If you missed an hour, have 2. Water causes your body to burn of alot more fat as it allows your liver to work with fat burning instead of removing toxic waste from the body.

dam thats a big boy but just think after the 90 day program he wont be so big i used to be that big i used to weigh 400lbs and no because of P90X i weigh 257 at a height of 6' 1" but i did it in 57 days moved to another house to i lost all the videos to i never made it to 200 lbs but i have lost another 17 lbs just doing light workouts oh and with P90X you dont need the supliments you just need to be motivated you dont need a diet either

adding on... to help you .. trust me youl get alot faster results that way... proper nutrition and weight training! help you build muscle.. and accelerate weight loss!.. more importantly not just weight loss but fat loss. because losing weight too fast may result in muscle loss rather than fat loss. its more simple with weight training because you just have to get started .. and you work on your own pace.
listen ... all you need is a good diet.. and i would recommend just getting on a good weight training program .. a good set of weights and youl be fine... P90X is more dinamic explosive movements and intensity.. if your unable to execute the movements properly it becomes more of a cardio workout and .. thats not good for muscle building if you want to get ripped. Muscles jack up your metabolism! and create afterburn

I have found that you really should stick with the diet plan. I have gotten fitter but I havn't followed the nutrition plan. I am on day 20 so I should have plenty of time to get ripped if I get onto the diet plan.

dude if your really doing the p9x respect to you for doin it at a young age cuz its hard as hell, but my advice to you is just drink muscle milk(it taste great) just go to your nearest GNC store and get muscle milk any flavor is awesome i love banana flavor

how do you get to this state? you do not need to work out at this body weight. all you have to do is to learn how to eat properly. that is to say, to control your portions, eat clean foods and balanced macronutrient ratios. if you can cycle carbs, then that is a plus. at that weight your heart is working extra hard to keep blood flowing, so it unlikiely you can work out with any true vigor, let alone p90x. just trying to keep it real.

1. Reduce your portion sizes to about 2-3 times one of your fists(about 2-3 fists).
2. Eat 5-7 times a day.
3. Substitute things you eat and drink often. Like, only drink water and always have low calorie ketchup as sauce instead things like bearneise.
4. Drink alot of water everyday.
5. Change your food habits through PROGRESSION. Start making small changes in your diet every week/month.
Doing these simple things will cut ALOT of weight from you.

Go to my website and do the evaluation for hypothyroidism. If thyroid levels are low,you won't metabolize sugar efficiently and this will cause persistent insulin elevation. You will not lose weight effectively when insulin levels are high as this is the primary fat storage hormone. Drfitt dot com. Hang in there. Is your work environment compromising your health goals?

Kevin I hope you stuck with it man. I am about to start the program in about 3 weeks maybe sooner. As a fellow fat man I sympathize with NEED to change while your still young. I myself am 26 and definitely need the change. 270 pounds and my goal is 200 by day 90. I know how discouraged you may feel sometimes but push through brother and I hope too see you BRINGING IT. adding on... to help you .. trust me youl get alot faster results that way... proper nutrition and weight training! help you build muscle.. and accelerate weight loss!.. more importantly not just weight loss but fat loss. because losing weight too fast may result in muscle loss rather than fat loss. its more simple with weight training because you just have to get started .. and you work on your own pace.

listen ... all you need is a good diet.. and i would recommend just getting on a good weight training program .. a good set of weights and youl be fine... P90X is more dinamic explosive movements and intensity.. if your unable to execute the movements properly it becomes more of a cardio workout and .. thats not good for muscle building if you want to get ripped. Muscles jack up your metabolism! and create afterburn

just change your diet and you'll drop like 100 pounds... i changed mine and i lost too much so I started eating macdonalds again....eggs with toast (no margarine), and chicken breasts with onions and green pepeprs

I have found that you really should stick with the diet plan. I have gotten fitter but I havn't followed the nutrition plan. I am on day 20 so I should have plenty of time to get ripped if I get onto the diet plan.

good luck bro, I know it's easy to feel discouraged cause everyone you might work out with is light and active, but keep at it.. the bigger you are the more calories you burn from doing something that another fit person would just cause your body has so much weight, and no offense but you don't look like you work out which is actually a good thing cause your muscles will tear easily since it's never really been strained.. Keep at it, and goodluck! I started at 335 and i'm 260 now!

Awesome! Kevin you can do this! I lost 70 lbs with P90X. I went from 230 to 160. I just started another round because I had actually fallen off a bit and regained almost 20 lbs. I believe in you and will be praying for your persistence!

1- determination ( determine, that we need to do this)
2 - discipline (discipline yourself and your body to follow along and push)
3 - dillingence (an undying fight to stay on top)

You can do it, man! I believe in you! I do P90X too and it works wonders when you follow their nutrition plan. 80% of everyone's great results are because they followed the nutrition plan! Listen to your body, take workouts off when your body says it needs to rest, but always stick with that nutrition plan! Working out combined with clean eating is an incredibly powerful thing!! Good luck, man! Don't give up! Patience is the key to success!

im 15 years old and i starintg p90x 7 days ago to be exact i was weighted 197 and now i am at 188 i losed some weight and im happy so far in only 7 days of work im still doing it ..i try it give my best everytime but the only problem for me is that everyone tells me to drink protein drinks but i find they taste bad does anyone have some good adivce on that?

dude if your really doing the p9x respect to you for doin it at a young age cuz its hard as hell, but my advice to you is just drink muscle milk(it taste great) just go to your nearest GNC store and get muscle milk any flavor is awesome i love banana flavor

how do you get to this state? you do not need to work out at this body weight. all you have to do is to learn how to eat properly. that is to say, to control your portions, eat clean foods and balanced macronutrient ratios. if you can cycle carbs, then that is a plus. at that weight your heart is working extra hard to keep blood flowing, so it unlikiely you can work out with any true vigor, let alone p90x. just trying to keep it real.
