  • Problem: I try to run the map to see if the panic event worked but it says in the black box thats pops up before L4d is launched it says in red letters Entity Logic_timer (a bunch of numbers) Leaked!........I dont understand what the problem is someone plz help me fix this problem

  • @unworthySpartan24 it means that there is a gap somewhere in your map, fix it by drawing a box (6 walls, not one big one) making sure that they do not have any gaps in between them (you can use these walls as a sky box)

  • If you have problem with sound that doesn't stop, uncheck Is NOT Looped. It should help. If you have smoething like (MOB) 59.17: MOB SPAWN ERROR: ANYWHERE = Empty spawn area set, you need to add navigation.

  • The timer just wasn't working for me. It wouldn't stop the alarm. Maby things have chanaged in Left 4 dead 2, but I used the logic_relay instead to replace the timer and it worked .

  • do you know how to make a key to a door? so its locked untill you pickit up?

    your going to have to do something with variables. you could either do it like a scavenger door, which would likely require custom models and animations to look right, or with a button you press to open a door. either way look at examples for those

  • @l4dbros1518 You have to set up input/output on the door and use a trigger for the key to unlock the door.

  • @WorldofLevelDesign: Thank you so much for the tutorials provided, by far the best available. I've read you post on how to unlock a door by use of a switch. (L4D2) I've tried to using a static_prop - can't get it to work though. What's the cluse to having a prop trigger a door on 'open/use' interaction with player?

    Stuck on this one - please :)

  • Thanks man.

    The only thing I can tell you is to doulbe check your entity's names and the output properties. Make sure they are all set up properly. Most often common mistake is the wrong names. Also doulbe check your logic_timer

  • Get rid/delete logic_timer.

    on Ambient Generic Sound go to flags tab, have only start_silent checked

    on func_door set up two outputs

    1. onOpen Play Sound (name of ambient generic door alarm)

    2. onOpen Stop Sound (name of ambient generic door alarm) and add the delay when you want the sound to stop.

  • Yes. PC version. Once installed, you download the level design tools through steam.
