Great... I love the way they are spekaing pure Urdu, so beautiful. And real acting, good story. The guy who is playing Mamu is such a good actor, he was great in Angan Terha, too. He's hilarious and perfect timing of comedy.

In uncle Sargam talk show, aired from Islamabad (1992), She ruined her career. She didn't learn her script. Always used to read the script from papers on the table before her as if she's in 8th class doing urdu reading for the rest of the students. and sometimes she stuck at difficult words and uncle sargam used to correct her. Whole program appeared as if recorded rehearsals were aired instead of original program. Viewers were shocked to see Shehnaz doing such reading-acting.

People used to take pride in being a Pakistani, and buying Pakistani made products like clothing whatever with a pride. The National Industrial Exhibitiom at Karachi used to be flooded with Pakistani Industrial products. Our heroes like Dr. A.Q. Khan were in the headlines in early to mid 1980s. No violence of any kind. No Drugs, no Klashanakovs. Towards late 1980s and 1990s is when all the troubles started, particularly after Soviets left AFG. May God Bless Pakistan once again.

You know Pakistani fellow brothers and sisters, this drama is reflective of the general society back in the early 1980s. It was not just the drama but everything in Pakistan was at its peak, I was very young, and my dad was an engineer at PIA, we used to travel around, and PIA was considered one of the BEST airlines in the world at those times. Our Cricket Team, our Hockey Team, were on TOP, Our legendary Jahangir Khan, was winning Squash, consecutively, what a time.

She got married after Un kahi,she came back with a big bang in 1987 in Tanhayian,after that she was`nt intrested any more to work,basically she is a moody person and its really quite hard to impressed her or convince her,she got married with a beuro carte,infact a very famouse journalist Sherin mazarey is her "Dewrani",and also she has one son,these day (since 1995),she is hosting some programmes like music and magazine shows but on and off.

I had read some where that Unkhai was not her debut,when she was doing her graduation from N.C.A,she has done a play entitled "Ababil" in which she did a short character.(well its my personal opininon that she did`nt do any other play instead Tanhayian and Unkahi),2nd thing you can`t get any information about her because she is not like Mishi khan,Khalida riyasat,Rohi bano,Reema,Meera who always wanted to be a part of news papers.

That was Marina khan by whom you were talking about,the serial was "Tanha tanha",featuring Sajid hassan also,written by Hasina moin,telecast on Star plus.

I dont think so. Marina Khan said that Indian Director Raj Kapoor offered Shahnaz Sheikh a role in his film Henna but Shahnaz Sheikh refused to act in Indian films, the reason being she is a very patriotic Pakistani, so I dont think she would act in any Indian projects and I am sure Marina Khan would not lie about this.

@ziabhai123 Your information is wrong. Shahnaz Sheikh debut was in Baleela she played a smalll part and then she only did two serials Ankahi and Tanhayan. Raj kapoor was her fan and wanted to cast her in his film but she refused to work in indian movies because she was very patriotic. Marina Khan also confirmed that she refused to work in his film. She got married right after Tanhaiyan and left showbiz. Later she started hosting a musical show 'Meri Pasand' on pakistan television.

Wonderful drama. I saw this drama sometime in 1989. I had all the video cassettes of this drama. Unfortunately as time went by, those tapes got damaged and I finally lost all of them. I have been searching for this for a long time and found it on youtube today.

I cannot tell you how much this serial means to me. It takes me back to my golden childhood days. The wonderful Urdu, the beautiful and natural acting - man, how I wish we had such serials today...
