I had to put down my Gretel miniature schnauzer 12yo on 1/29/12. Raised here since she was 8 weeks old. I also have no children. It is heart breaking and I still grieve. I had to put down her biological sister Heidi on 9/1/11. She would have been 14 on Sept 21st. Got them from the same breeder. I miss them terribly. Look forward to seeing them when it is my time. Thanks for sharing.
