In my view his performance of this song is tons better than his performance of it the night before at the rehearsal concert, where he wasn't nearly as focused. Notice his hair is different in that one. This is the one he absolutely killed it on yet this one has much less views...

A raw beautiful performance that is simply unforgettable. Really, there is no one who put so much soul and heart into the music. Every single note is bursting.
In my view his performance of this song is tons better than his performance of it the night before at the rehearsal concert, where he wasn't nearly as focused. Notice his hair is different in that one. This is the one he absolutely killed it on yet this one has much less views...

@bosame1111 Another one that rips at my heart is The American Trilogy in this same concert, (not the rehearsal) especially the part where he sings the part "so hush little baby don't you cry"....it is the one where he's wearing the red scarf, not the white scarf the night before--he was always awesome but the actual concert he was clearly much more tuned in to his performances and focused

My God this man can sure sing!!! He is the best singer of all time and this song proves this!! Heart and soul is something this king most certainly has!! I just wished with all my heart that I had seen him in concert at some stage

The Smashing Pumpkins "The Crying Tree Of Mercury," is a beautiful, dark , calm, emotional song I know he would have covered it if he was alive.

Love the comments.. Was born in '72 so I have vague memories of his death and that's it- outside of being magnetically compelled by his music and live performances on tape- my elvis Aloha from hawaii used to close every big party i had...but he reminds me in looks and actions so much of my dad- brilliant but flawed- in particular with his fatal weakness around women- it is often like I'm looking at my old man/ but love him still.
