@johncoaol not technically, but we still do. Ninja Fishing. I love walking the PV shoreline. I've got some spots where we have pulled 10 pound halibut, white seabass, 6 pound Calicos, and big sand bass

I use to call it "Ninja-fishing". It requires a few things:

1. A bike

2. up to three rods

3. Dark (if not black) clothing

There are rules to ninja-fishing.

If someone asks you to leave, you leave. Don't give them any guff, just tell them to have a good night and go on to the next spot.

Release everything (I once talked a guy into releasing a world-record class fish...over 7 lbs )

Make every attempt to retrieve a bait.

Never leave any sign you were there.

Not gonna ask you where you were fishing. If memory serves, I fished those same areas when I was your age (two decades ago). It's so hard not to say cuz' you just want to brag to everyone about the monster spotties you are tagging. I will say this, spotties are primarily nocturnal (that means hit the same places at night and you will catch even bigger fish!). All of my bay bass over 4 lbs were caught after 9pm. Glad to see the tradition of fishing from the rails is still alive!
