We killed Rodney, by criminalizing heroin. It affected Rodney s health and ultimately
caused him to OD. Rodney could have smoked some opium and never died but we made refined smack available for Rodney as its easier to import. Rodney would still be alive today if we hadn't killed him. You didnt really give a fsck about Rodney
@xxrunemasterxx Yeah, his name was Rodney Harvey. He was a top Calvin Klein model and rising young actor sometime in the 90s...until he got hooked on H and died of an O.D.
Hey everyone, I too am an opiate addict. I was using IV heroin everyday for over 4 years. I got on suboxone at first without insurance and had to pay $7 per pill for 90 pills per month plus Dr. fees, which cost a lot per month just to stay clean. I've since gotten great insurance which allows me to get all my suboxone for free and I have a lot of extra suboxone scripts left over. I am willing to help anybody out who wants to get clean but doesn't have the funds to do it. Msg me, thanks
I found the CURE for addiction and I have proof for this claim. Click on my name and witness Powerful Stories of Freedom. I personally know and have witnessed over 100 addicts who have found True and Lasting FREEDOM after being enslaved by their addictions for so long. I have been through many programs for my addiction, but have never found so much Hope, Joy, Peace, and Love than I have in the program I am in now. And the people I know who have given their stories are experiencing the same!
im relctant to comment but im going to,im an addict, for along time, since the 80's,im completely in the grip but desparate to come off,ive no excuses, this is just how it is for me,i live in the UK,its rife where i am,ive lost the little i had,ive tried a few times before to get clean but it didnt last long,im getting older now and im starting to see the very baddest ill effects take hold and im scared, sometimes i wonder how long i ve left,im a good man,im talented,i hope one day i am clean.
@witchofhellll i'm in the opposite boat. i hav eno sympathy for any junkie trying to get clean. it's not hard when you're forced to detox in jail a ew times. I'm smart enough not to sell stuff i love any more. but i wish i reeeally would love a few bags of dope right now.
My best friend is a recovering drug addict (almost 3 years clean) he just recently found out his brother is addicted to heroin. It's such a horrible drug, please keep all those suffering from addiction in your mind.
Hey everyone, I too am an opiate addict. I was using IV heroin everyday for over 4 years. yes drugs are bad and all but if it wasn't for these people abusing them first hand than we non-users wouldn't know the severity of them. drugs are a valuable experience. the addiction survivors are among the strongest souls on earth.
after years of addiction,i now am free of heroin, not an easy thing to do.i saw many people die from it.i lost everything,i kept getting up.now 14 years off smack,i wonder if it was worth it.
I'm not quite sure what PFDFA has to do with the posters friend dying from heroin... I should have died twice; I was lucky. The first time I had good surgeons- the second time a wife who happened to be a nurse. I'm in my 30th year of either using, or helping others not use...
I live with a sad feeling that my number has already been called, and I'm just waiting....
so sad, hope you make it. i had problems with several substance over the years but i'm done. I think it was my children that made me want to stay here.
Been down that river. This video is short, not preachy, and I think very hard hitting. I got off meth and H 9 years ago. I used to mix them together and shoot 'em sometimes. Lost everything. But I quit, and it's possible, even though it's hard to live with the aftermath and look at yourself in the mirror afterwards. The hardest for me is remembering what I pissed away to drugs (my dignity, relationship, possessions all sold for nothing) and what an asshole I was to those who love me...
@bldtraffic I hear you, man. Was hooked for about five years, been off it for 10 now.
Nothing like the feeling of lost time, lost life, being ten years behind your friends. That's what I did. Pretty much decimated myself economically, and to a large extent spiritually. People say I was strong to get off, but there's still a part of me which hates myself in certain moments of silence, when there's no-one else around but me and the silent memories that still haunt my mind...
I'm 17 and live on my dad's farm in Nebraska. I've never even seen drugs and wouldn't know what they look like if I saw them. About the most kids do around here is drink beer. Does that make me a square and un-cool person? I've often wondered about that.
Zoey defiantly not, trust me. When ur young u might think that but in the long run its worth it. I know that saying is like a broken record, i didnt believe it either and as i got older i saw devastating effects it had on people, even death.! someone i knew OD'd on heroin and 2 of my friends OD'd but lived. and like an idiot that still didn't stop me and i started doing it, for about 6 months i blew $3,000 + on that shit. now im clean and looking forward to a great life.
I think that makes you a level-minded man,a really intelligent somebody I guess. I am the same as you and never ever thought/wondered that I am square or an odd one out.I love myself this way. You should love yourself the way you are!!
Drugs have NEVER been "cool". (OK, maybe Pot and Acid in the 60"s). But I assure you there is nothing cool about opiate withdrawals (vomiting, cramps so bad they literally throw you out of bed, nausea, diarrhea, sweats, chills), nor is there anything cool about parents having to bury their kids...
Check out my project- TheAddictionChannel (dot) com. It's an addiction video library.
This Video goes deeper than his looks. Other things as stress/ depression can change our looks, but the subject here is Heroin. My point is what's going on inside of us shows through our looks as well as our personality. I am sorry for Rodney as he could have had a great life wether he was goodlooking or not. You with the SMART REMARKS: You too will lose someone you loved, from drugs. It is the one thing that has no No Prejudice at all...You might have someone in your family now using.
Thanks for this video. It's hard to watch friends mess up their lives with drugs. It's even harder to watch them die from them. I shot smack for 10 years. For the past six years I've been off of it and living a normal life. My purpose of saying this is to let ppl know that it is possible to get off of it. It's very difficult but IS possible. You don't have to die.
It's a shame that so many people do different kinds of illegal drugs. I wish that it would STOP. I HATE it when people die from illegal drugs. By the way, that video is helpful to keep people off of drugs. Well done for uploading it!
@1f5sda would it be different if someone died from legal drugs tho right... shut the hell up they are as bad as each other, ban all drugs including the pharmacuetical pain killers and such and legalize weed enough said.
he was so handsome and delicate looking:) im so srry for your loss heroine and any type of drug even something as small as a cig(cancer stick)can ruin ur life and definately effect others
Good post. There is another good one done by the wife of the late Bradley Nowell of Sublime. He himself OD'd on heroin and she does an anti-drug commercial mentioning this.
I know too well what heroin can do to you! Chasing that dragon is never worth it for all the damage that it does to a person, their family and their friends. Rodney was a very nice looking man and it saddens me to see how heroin ruined his life. Rest in peace Rodney.
Let me ask you something..do you think being goodlooking necessarily translates into being happy? Do you think Rodney feels better in the implied goodlooking picture than he does in the heroin pictures?
You may not have known him, but you have probably seen him before: Rodney Harvey was a film and TV actor, he was in several popular productions, including Twin Peaks and My Own Private Idaho. He was also a Calvin Klein model, who dated Drew Barrymore and Uma Thurman.

@suba1234...
My story as well, but crack and H. I would smoke until I couldn't smoke anymore, and then do a few spoons, chill for awhile and start over again.
A few of those cycles and you find yourself in 4-point restraints in a psych ward.
I'm now clean the same amount of time I had been using... Too bad we don't get "do-overs", huh?
