you forgot to mention 98,600,000 of voting age citizens did not vote,Obama only recieved 33-34% of the voting age public vote, so that leaves 64% who did not vote for Obama, We only need about 10% of the 98,800,000 who did not vote in 2008 to vote and the liberal far-left we be voted out,
funny how the people of Nevada chose experience over inexperience and Obama won that state.....when it's quite obvious McCain was by far more experienced
I don't believe that Palin can win because the media has tainted her reputation. She won't get the Independents. It's a shame, too, because I think Palin has a lot more guts than Hillary.
My first choice for president is Newt Gingrich because he's hands down the most qualified man (or woman) to be president and that goes for both Repubs and Dems. Besides, he's from the golden era of the GOP.
My next choices are Romney and Guliani because of their brains and charisma.
Governor Huckabee is without a doubt the ONLY logical choice for this country in 2012! He can articulate the feelings of the vast majority of America and he can do it brilliantly, beating Obama at his own oratoral "game." And Huck needs NO teleprompter.....
NO to Huckabee. He stinks, and if you review his record, you'll find that he has not exhibited a true conservative history. Besides, his name is almost as bad for a US President as "Obama". I was a HUGE Fred Thompson supporter, because I share his conservative red-blooded patriotic approach as much as I shared Reagan's. I would support Palin as veep. In my perfect world, our next administration would be Thompson/Palin. But that ain't gonna happen.
Yes, actually, I once remembered seeing a political map that had every congressional district drawn out. The WHOLE country was colored in red, with the exception of big city metroes that had blue ones.
Somehow, Obama got the support he needed from the big city ppl(or something like that).
if repulicans want to win they must be conservative like palion her spech and here conservation valuews rocked mecan into a conternder mcain would not even get 20%of voits if not for her wake up republicans get back to roots of conservtisam like palion but you will not you put some one like bush mcain liberals in and loss agan and you should if you do not
Romney/Palin or Huckabee/Palin 2012! Isn't it strange how many of the states that went blue for the presidential election have Conservative governors?
I understand everyone's optimism about Romney, I campaigned for him against kennedy in the 90s .If the National GOP only gave him soome support he might have taken Fat Ted's seat. But he did a horrible job as Gov of Mass.We need to focus on the upcoming mid terms. are you in in GOP?
I'm a Californian and my state hasn't voted Republican since 1988, while my city(Los Angeles) hasn't voted Republican since 1984! My ideal ticket would be Sarah Palin and Marco Rubio. They're both young, represent minorities, and are still hella conservative! btw Marco Rubio is a Cuban American who is Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. He'll appeal greatly to Hispanic Americans and will help us win the electoral vote-rich swing state of Florida and even my state, California! :]
Till your post Ive never heard much abotu Rubio, but the little research ive read is pretty impressive. I think you might have a good idea.I think immigrant vote for dems cause they pander so hard to them. But most of my Mexican friends vote GOP 'cause of values rather than the lies the dems tell anyone. great post!
I live in NY. We haven't voted Replublican since 84 with Ronald Regan. The morons of this state would probably vote for Hitler if he was on the democratic ticket. Unless the Republicans can have a candidate who has alot of charisma, go back to the Regan principles and take on the media, Obama will probably win in 2012.
I Hope Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann can team up and really show US Americans that Women are equal, break that ceiling, and reign in the spending, creating more jobs, and preserving our Christian Dominant Society!
My ideal ticket would be J.C. Watts and Bobby Jindal. A lot of people think that Jindal's national possibilities were smashed after his less then amazing response to Pres. Obama's state of the union speech. I'm not one of them. I like him, and this he'd be a good veep candidate. As for J.C. Watts, he's a former Rep. from Oklahoma, and is thinking about running for governor in 2010. He would be a fantastic man for our nomination. Check out his book, it's called What Color is a Conservative?
I like Mitt Romney. I had one choice though it would be congressman Charlie Dent from PA. I live in his district and the man is amazing! I live in a huge liberal county and Dent has been my congressman since 2002 and is loved by all liberals, if he ran he would bring this country together again. Too bad he isnt well known. Mitt Romney would have my vote though
It's funny how both New York and California the two biggest blue states have severe budget problems do to ineffective social programs put in place by their democratic leader. In these two particular states I think the GOP in 2012 has a chance if they engage the people regarding these massive failures in government. They can win if they willing to put the resources and man power into these states who need fiscal conservatism now more than ever.
Even though i dont feel he could be that strong when it comes to campaigning, i like Fred Thompson. And we might need him even more in 4 years. If Obama, Edwards, Hillary, and all the other libs get their way and we do go under a socialized healthcare, Thompson will be the one man to truly attempt to turn that over. Thompson's views on healthcare is that we need to get government regulation the hell out of there becuase it gets to the point that we have more legals than agents in healthcare.
"In Washington, D.C., 14,821 stood up for what they believe in, despite being few in number." No, Washington D.C. voted for president the party that they have been voting for president since they were allowed to vote in 1964 - Democrats. Where is the believing in that? They are just going with the flow, election after election. Although, they do have a Green Party delegate, I think.
Obama went from the state house in illinois to the white house by beating two weak Republican candidates. If Jack Ryan wouldn't have had to resign due to his divorce scandal, he would have beaten Obama. The key to beating Obama is pretty simple. Run a disciplined true CONSERVATIVE!!!
It might be because he's a social liberal, and he didn't connect well with the base. Plus, he ran a terrible campaign this time around. He might be better off running for the Senate, or Governor of NY. Or if Obama wins in 2012, Rudy could position himself as a moderate pragmatist who can win in 2016.
Because Rudy Guiliani is not socially conservative. Republicans are very close to overturing Roe v. Wade and he is against that. He does have excellent fiscal policy though.

I agree with 17Kelty that Huckabee will NOT be overlooked again. He would have been the nominee if he had 1/5 the money Obama had..or Romney...or McCain, even. The problem was that people didn't know of him til it was too late. We know of him now and he is sure to be our guy in 2012!!!! I love the guy! Huckabee 2012!!!!
As an independent, I'd like to see Huckabee give it another shot. I think republicans really missed the boat when they passed him over. I doubt they'd make the same mistake twice.
If we're going to have to choke down another Jimmy Carter (Obama), then I absoultely will not settle for anything less than the next Ronaldus Magnus, Sarah Palin.
And by then she'll have another four years worth of executive experience under her belt. There will be no stopping her from making Obama a one termer as long as the lapdog media lays off the editing of Gibson/Couric interviews. :P
I believe that America made a grave mistake in voting for Obama, we Republicans are going to be busy the next 4 years trying to stop the Obama Express.
Jindal has already annonced he will seek a 2nd term as governor and will not run in 2012. Probably thinks Obama will get re-elected and doesn't want to wast his run. Huckabee is the guy anyway for 2012!! Jindal is better off to get more experience. He is very young and should not be in a hurry.

i don't think obama won Indiana.
readyjojoy 2 years ago
Unfortunately, Barack Obama did indeed win the state of Indiana in 2008, but it was a narrow victory.
*Obama-Biden (D): 49.95%
McCain-Palin (R): 48.91%
Obama's win of Indiana was the first time (and hopefully will be the last) a Democrat won the Hoosier State since Lyndon Johnson in 1964.

Thanks for the info. That is very shocking. I think Indiana is the 2nd most conservative state behind Utah. Thats just what I heard.
