  • Damn... I had a dream last night about this video. Frankie my teenage idol.... and then I woke up old and heavy :)

  • This and Ray Barbee's parts were all ways my favs in these videos. Stacy was the best at directing these films.

  • @thelaoian Stacy peralta would make them wear the same clothes over a few day filming period to make it seem that way

  • am i crazy or did he film that whole part in one day?

  • my favorite was the shuv it down the three stair.... oh how times change

  • GOD DAMN! that last gap was amazing!!!!

  • When he blew out his knee, he sued his insurance company because they would not cover the cost of the surgery.

  • Frankie Hill,Ray Barbee,Eric Ricks,Jay Adams,Natas Kapus and Rodney Mullen are in my opinion the best skaters to ever live

  • adrenaline!!! questo è un pezzo di storia!

  • Frankie was like the Evil Knievel of the Bones Brigade.

  • I have been to that last gap and let me tell you its FUCKING HUGE. Amazing.

  • @thaumusfilms , is the gap still there now? could you take some photos or footage of it?

It still looks crazy to me.

  • @nocomplyimpossible I don't live in Cali anymore. It was at a high school in Santa Barbara, by the track and field track. yeah, it's HUGE...I didn't want to die, so I didn't try it.

  • somebody much younger than me should take that big-spin mute at 1:50 (which Frankie executed over 20 years ago) and polish it; I'd love to see it... unless someone can recommend footage already shot...

  • ender was crazy, even for todays standards

  • Someone's got the bulldog shirt up on ebay!

  • He's back and he skates for Skate Crank!

  • wow that kick flip to idny grab was sick at :53 sec. one of my fav. decks frankie hill

  • That gap mute tweak is super sick. I will never forget that.

  • I still have an old Frankie Hill deck from years ago.

  • Frankie's got style. Gotta give him props, his MASSIVE cojones are not in proportion to his size. His skill is. Frankie and Ray Barbee are easily my two favorite skaters and i remember my jaw hitting the floor the first time i saw Public Domain as an 9 year old brat. Inspiring stuff.

  • that guy was a fucking bad ass

  • totally rad!!!

  • ill work on some of those mutes this weekend, thanks frankie

  • yeah, man when this came out, it blew everyone away! and that last gap! I mean c'mon!!

  • Frankie Hill is a legend !

  • dude was waaaaaay ahead of his time. No one back then was doing stuff that huge. awesome. and for all of you young bucs out there,It was guys like this who set the standard for modern day street skating now. It looks like nothing now, but this stuff was huge back in the day. used to blow my mind as a teenager

  • skates but once it was defunct he left and went to diabolical skateboards in whom he skates for now he aslo works as a dental worker in wich he makes molds and such but he said that once he gets a half a mill in savings hell retire but still mak vid parts

  • everyone seems to be wondering what happened to him ill tell you im friends with him and his bro you see he was filming for a powell ad and blew ot a knee trying to land a grind powell cut him and his g friend left him so he wnet to live with his sis he whent to start a career with revolver

  • That part wore out on my tape from watching it so much

  • I bought this video around 16 years ago and his skate. I have seen it 1000 times in my bedroom and I dremed that I could be like him. Amazing end Ollie, 4 meters high.

  • !!Que recuerdos!!,podiamos pasar todo un dia en un bordillo, grindando, marcandonos slides, disfrutando de la amistad y del skate.Salud Gonzo,Santi,Aleman,Bola....

  • WHAT?

  • the mute at the end was unreal

  • Dios mio que clasico !!!! tuve que buscar cables especiales para poder grabar del video la musica y patinarla en con mi comodo walkman agarrado al cinturon !!!

  • I never forgot good old frankie hill. I wanted to be him, got his bulldog board for christmas!. He went huge when nobody else did. The gap grab ender is still mind boggling.

  • Great Frankie!!!

  • I just heard he fucked his knee up or something like that. With his go huge style, it was bound to happen.

  • People always forget good old Frankie hill. He made his place in skate history in my opinion.

  • @SwitchRich That last gap ollie is still badass even by today's standards!!

  • @despo108 I noticed on facebook this week that he seems to have a new board out - he's back.

  • @despo108 Yeah that was insane! I still watch it and go Holy Shit! hahahah

  • @SwitchRich Yeah he definitely was going big before everyone was. But the problem is for a lot of people his style is really messy because he did it so early before modern skateboarding was fully developed.

  • @SwitchRich Just being in this video makes him part of skate history.

  • HUGE GAP

  • Anybody know if the gap at the end is still around?

  • true too bad he turned into a crackhead and lost his goal in life.

  • Comment removed

  • I'd be interested in hearing this story of Frank turning into a crackhead and loosing his goal in life....

    I'm his step-brother....he's fine.

Get your facts straight, you assclown...

  • Is it not true that he got hurt (shooting an ad for Powell) and then turned around and sued them. Won! :-/ And then asked to be put back on the team a few years later.

  • @maolotar , I'm glad he's fine now. Sad to hear about him blowing out his knee and the other downfalls he's experienced. I remember reading that he just wanted to skate and rent a houseboat and live the simple life is that true or just hearsay? Was he working in the dental industry w/ dentures or is that rumor too?

  • for such a short dude, he tricks were always HUGE.

  • one of the best styles out there.
