@nocomplyimpossible I don't live in Cali anymore. It was at a high school in Santa Barbara, by the track and field track. yeah, it's HUGE...I didn't want to die, so I didn't try it.
somebody much younger than me should take that big-spin mute at 1:50 (which Frankie executed over 20 years ago) and polish it; I'd love to see it... unless someone can recommend footage already shot...
Frankie's got style. Gotta give him props, his MASSIVE cojones are not in proportion to his size. His skill is. Frankie and Ray Barbee are easily my two favorite skaters and i remember my jaw hitting the floor the first time i saw Public Domain as an 9 year old brat. Inspiring stuff.
dude was waaaaaay ahead of his time. No one back then was doing stuff that huge. awesome. and for all of you young bucs out there,It was guys like this who set the standard for modern day street skating now. It looks like nothing now, but this stuff was huge back in the day. used to blow my mind as a teenager
skates but once it was defunct he left and went to diabolical skateboards in whom he skates for now he aslo works as a dental worker in wich he makes molds and such but he said that once he gets a half a mill in savings hell retire but still mak vid parts
everyone seems to be wondering what happened to him ill tell you im friends with him and his bro you see he was filming for a powell ad and blew ot a knee trying to land a grind powell cut him and his g friend left him so he wnet to live with his sis he whent to start a career with revolver
I bought this video around 16 years ago and his skate. I have seen it 1000 times in my bedroom and I dremed that I could be like him. Amazing end Ollie, 4 meters high.
I never forgot good old frankie hill. I wanted to be him, got his bulldog board for christmas!. He went huge when nobody else did. The gap grab ender is still mind boggling.
@SwitchRich Yeah he definitely was going big before everyone was. But the problem is for a lot of people his style is really messy because he did it so early before modern skateboarding was fully developed.
Is it not true that he got hurt (shooting an ad for Powell) and then turned around and sued them. Won! :-/ And then asked to be put back on the team a few years later.
@maolotar , I'm glad he's fine now. Sad to hear about him blowing out his knee and the other downfalls he's experienced. I remember reading that he just wanted to skate and rent a houseboat and live the simple life is that true or just hearsay? Was he working in the dental industry w/ dentures or is that rumor too?
Damn... I had a dream last night about this video. Frankie my teenage idol.... and then I woke up old and heavy :)

When he blew out his knee, he sued his insurance company because they would not cover the cost of the surgery.
