  • Every second they waste shooting the sh&t with their damn broker, some poor bastard is waiting on hold trying to get in touch with that very same broker to sell their fast falling stock. It is a business, there are protocols to follow. The broker doesn't work for a love hot line.Execute the trade and hang up.

  • Its not even their money and they are so afraid. What if they trade with their own money? Being calm and stay focused is a must for any trader.

  • chatting with the broker = wasting of their time. wat r they thinking? trying to have phone sex with the brokers.

  • Some of these guys could have worked for Lehmans

  • @amazonplay says who?

  • Anton looks tired lol

  • Emile and Cleo have absolutely no clue about it when they say things like "it's all the bravado" and "whenever you get a high concentration of men...". Total BS. Bravado in trading will get you killed. I am a consistently successful day- and swing-trader - much due to eliminating bravado-related moves of all types in my trading activities.

  • @janmal372 - I have mailed sooooooooo many people through youtube about trading. I currently work as a headhunter - in London City - may business is done Merril Lynch / CSFB / Citibank etc etc - I make a good living - but truthfully am bored out of my skull - 2 questions - do you work as a trader / how do actually get into trading because this is what I want to do.

  • @janmal372 when I say sooo many people - I'm literally trying to find a trader and nobody who has commented about this show are actually traders.

  • Cleo, Emile, and Amit need to STFU!!! or go home!!! we're talkin about making money and talking to ur broker only about making trades. nothing rude or nice about it...it's just the business and part of the job. u call them u tell them the ticker the repeat it to ya then ur all done. executed trade! smfh @ these morons. Wall street is about money...not morals or feelings

  • They were eating fast food.

  • I'll tell you what bullshit is:

I worked at a corporation here in US that was, shall we say, a "Gynocracy".

I had to tiptoe around, be careful not to hurt anyones feelings, couldnt say what I wanted to say, had to do the team-building, "sensitivity" training.......all that.

    No money ever got made.

Since I didn't want to play the social games of the females (and weak men), they eventually found a way to get rid of me.

Had I been wiser back then, I would have sued the company.

  • i;ve been in this industry for 17 years and had the privilege of meeting and working with many traders on equities, fx, bond desks within treasury depts of major banks. the standard in this trade room from a management perspective is the worst i have ever seen. even when i started as an FX trader at a small firm, the "coaches" had higher standards than this total BS setting. traders here have much higher standards than mgt. total BS setting with no real guidance NECESSARY for novice traders

  • @tsoukallos while i agree with your opinion. In the first episode, it was mentioned that management would not interfere in advising traders on trading decisions. Is that what you meant by 'no real guidance' ?

  • @tsoukallos I have mailed a few people through youtube re this show - I currently work as a headhunter - based city of london - make a very good living but am bored out of my mind - how did you get into trading ? how can someone like me actually get into trading ??

  • @jackiehurst I'm a proprietary stock trader. You can start trading your own capital if you open an account with a direct access broker. Good luck.

  • @jackiehurst first job out of university was fx trading for a firm that turned out to be a scam. then worked for reuters for 8 years. certified on high tier financial products. worked in treasury depts of major banks. then went into business for myself for 7 years now. my advise unless you can start with a major institution to stay away. MANY games being played in NY the small inexperienced trader is simply helpless to understand or follow. you will get wiped out and the reason 9/10 do.

  • @tsoukallos shit - many thanks for your advice. I didn't realise it was such a volatile business.

  • When seconds count being "polite" is not on anyone's mind. Say Hi, make the order, say bye.

  • The managers are trying to sounds so bad ass.

  • @iExperiencedit It's where you port your folios.

  • shooting the shit = bips

  • I trade. You do have to be completely focused and it's just like watching gauges in a plane and ready with your finger on the trigger to buy, sell or hedge.

  • this is the most useless job in the world.. it's good for nothing or no one. This solves NOTHING. In the end you get addicted to money like a gambler and you wont enjoy it. All u'll be wating to do will be make more and more.. And then u will realise u spent all ur useless life behind a desk. Enjoy ur life for what it is, money makes more problem than solves.

  • Shit for brains emille cant even write down what investments he currently has in a spreadsheet program like excell...

An hour passed and with the camera in his face, he decided it was time for him to pretend that he was angry and that it was all because the "other guy" acts like a boss. Well, he is the boss, emille. He is the boss. If you cant take orders from someone who is watching you r00ks, than you can work nowhere in this world.

  • Anton is fucking idiot. that what he is

  • well in the end, you never make money unless somewhere else somebody is losing money ... if u wanna get rich u virtually have to destroy somebody but of course ... u don't realize it since u won't ever have to deal with it personallye u don't have to throw somebody out of his mansion and take everything he owns... that's why u will become a sick careless unhuman heartless motherf**cker ... and that's the truth...

  • False dichotomy between being "human" environMENTAList fags and a hanging up the phone financial sector humor style somehow being evil, get a life people. Don't let anyone tell you trading is zero/minus sum. Don't let anyone tell you its immoral to exchange value for value. These people put money at risk in pursuit of happiness. That's the meaning of life, in whatever field. That it serves an economic purpose isn't the justification for our freedoms. Bankers are humans, and they have rights too.

  • OK, there's no way Ahmet "just happened" to be reading that particular headline in that particular shot.

  • What a bell end !

  • It is true Anton became a millionaire at 27 but to a lot of ppl money does not equal happiness. I am sure ppl don't want a gold plated casket for their funeral with nobody turning up.

  • he's clearly not grasping the importance of risk exposure, to go 10% over your exposure limit is massive. risk management has to be your number one consideration as a trader.

  • @SilverShamrock71 Its not just the fact of managing your risk. Its simply a matter of getting your account correct. If you have 90k to invest and somehow you have 99k invested, than you just have SHIT for brains. It shows you cant do simple math, simple asset management, simple worksheet program and simple use of excell, simple calculation, its shows you have never finished highschool and that youre brains are entirely somewhere else.

  • @Elbottoo don't forget that this bunch are complete newbs, it's down to anton to monitor, manage and mentor..

yet he sits in his office with the door closed, looking like he's just had three lines of cocaine for lunch...

  • @SilverShamrock71 He was managing perfectly. What do you want him to do? Look over the shoulder of the contestants every minute?

  • @Elbottoo hmmm, i agree and disagree with your statement, yes he was managing perfectly for a professional desk environment. but the point is, that this was not a professional desk, like i said they were all newbs, so they did need that additional guidance, in my opinion..

  • @SilverShamrock71 Why would they need guidance? Its a TV show, not a school. If they genuinely wanted to learn, they need to do so in their spare time. At home. They got prepped in two weeks but in the end, its not a school. Its a TV show for our entertainment.

  • @Elbottoo well ok, and considering they lost 12k, well i dare say those bloomy terminals they're using cost a lot more than that... but what was the point then? i thought this was supposed to be lex's version of the turtles... clearly not, oh well never mind..

  • in terms of abbrasiveness, its like going round to my grandmas house and having a cup of tea - that is why Anton was a millionaire at 27 and our fighter fellow still lives at home with mum and dad. I would do anything to be a trader.

  • @jackiehurst I mean this in the nicest way and with all due respect, why don't you try become a trader? Or have you already tried? You should not let anything hold you back regardless of your income or otherwise.

  • @jackiehurst so be one...whats stoping you?
