NZ hasnt sold its fighters they are "mothballed" at Woodbourne air base in Blenheim . They have been for sale for some time but the U.S State department is making it difficult to sell the A4 Skyhawks, incidentaly the skyhawks may be an old airframe but at the time of disbanding had the latest F16 avionics. A squadron of A4's were based in Nowra NSW Australia for low level attack aircraft as Aussie didnt have that capability, the money Aussie paid would keep all the A4's in oz and nz flying
Mate, thanks for the attempt at morale- boosting, but, as an ex Aussie Air Force bloke, if you Kiwi's think the R.A.A.F. can crank-up a mob of 'planes if Fiji, Tasmania, or the Cook Islands invade the North Island, then you lot are knackered!. All the invaders have to do is pick a Queen's Birthday long weekend, row to Auckland anytime after 3'Oclock, Friday afternoon, (no radio's),- the R.A.A.F. knocks off every friday at 1'o'clock, and take-over the Beehive. Job Done.
@88ABRAMS88 An emergency here is like 'shit its the open day at Hobsonville Base like - tomorrow! Better get the Aussies over here with some sort of fighter jets'.

LOL - the Fijians & Cook islanders don't have to invade the North Island, they already live there.

And here also, in the West Island.
We Aussies do rather kid you guys about you bloody Kiwis taking over Bondi, - all, tongue in cheek, in good fun.
The Cookies have a nasty 'core' of young fellas oer here that are not doing them any favours.
They need to address their problem.
Its not nice.
