I really don't understand people who yell 'MURDER!' when abortion clearly is the best thing to do. Let's face it: not everyone is a good parent. Abortion or adoption is a blessing for children in some situations. A child needs to grow up in a safe and pleasant environment. Don't be selfish if you can't give your child what it needs, because not properly taking care of a child doesn't sound like a better option than abortion to me... It doesn't even know it exists and it can't feel any pain until a certain phase. Any creature with a consciousness would want a chance at life, but a young fetus can't feel a thing. Therefore it's not murder in my eyes.

Plants are also organisms, but they don't have feelings or thoughts. A young fetus doesn't have these things as well, therefore it isn't more than just an organism. If you think any living organism gets 'killed' when it is removed, you also agree that destroying plants and cells is murder. That doesn't make sense, there's a limit to the definition of murder.

I am against abortion but I can also understand the quality of this teenagers life. In the end, I think it all depends on how developed the baby is. what's with the big deal with teen pregnancy? a lot of women I know started having children around 16/17...grandparents, great grandparents, great great grand parents and so on had kids 12-20. If not sooner if you go back far enough. So why the big deal now? because people expect girls/women to finish school and college and get a job and spend all their time with that then start having kids in their mid-30s? Teen pregnancy is NOT a new thing!

LOL. This happens all the time where I'm from. In fact, not to be disrespectful to my cousin, but she had a baby at 16, and two years later at 18, she had her second baby. And her mother (my aunt) had her first kid at 14. I believe the biggest factor to child decisions are based mostly on parenting, however, not all.

You know, not everyone knows the actual consequences of having sex without being properly protected. My birth mom and dad were just kids when they had me, and never realized that "pulling out" isn't enough. Alot of schools will only teach their students these days that you should just abstain from sexual activity, but never how to protect yourself when you do have sex, or what to do when a accident occurs. Because of that, I'm here, and so are alot of other kids in America.

Two problems with the Pro-"Choice" movement: 1) Not all abortions are performed in sterile environments or by professional surgeons. 2) Not all abortions are performed on insentient "babies". Many (the exact numbers are unknown, since this is usually done in secret) abortionists, professional and otherwise, do remove conscious, third-trimester babies from wombs and kill them (often through lethal injection). And her mother (my aunt) had her first kid at 14. I believe the biggest factor to child decisions are based mostly on parenting, however, not all.

Also, there's no "old enough to have sex", 12 year olds and 13 year olds actually do it all the time, and you really can start concieving or impregnating at around 12 to 13 years of age for the average child. Although there are people who admit they had sex or at least fooled around before the age of 12. You know, not everyone knows the actual consequences of having sex without being properly protected. My birth mom and dad were just kids when they had me, and never realized that "pulling out" isn't enough. Alot of schools will only teach their students these days that you should just abstain from sexual activity, but never how to protect yourself when you do have sex, or what to do when a accident occurs. With all the hormons now adays its actuly possible my cousin is 12 now maybe 13 i don't remember, but, when she was 9 she got her period.. maybe 5 is a lil over the top. but if a child is having a baby,... yah.. no. abortion is an option.

you are wrong abortion is the answer. the quality of life of the teenager is more important how can you ignore the life of the mother and not take into account her happiness. just because someone makes a mistake it doesnt mean they have to pay for it the rest of their lives its all about living within the bounds of reason

Last I checked every1 who is old enough to have sex knows the consequences & should also know that abstinence is the only 100% efftective way to prevent pregnancy. I had my son at age16 & I was as happy as could be. Your "just because someone makes a mistake..." bullcrap can only work so much. There are ppl sitting in jail the rest of their lives because of a mistake they've made. Does that mean we should just let them go as well? So they can be happy? I dont think so. Abortion is wrong!

i notice ppl who are pro life dont understand the true nature of life . you want the mother to give birth but dont consider what that means to the mother. She looses scholastic opportunities which will cost her economic opportunities. she will likely remain in poverty and because the baby was raised in poverty the cycle repeats. last year something like 5 million babies were aborted that would have been 5 million mothers who werent ready and now still have opportunities.

I was 15 when I got preg. 16 when I had my son. People stereotype that if you are young when you have a child you cant do anything... well newsflash, "you can!" I had the opportunity for free daycare for my son as long as I am enrolled in school, including college. But even without that, if you are too young to take care of a child then you are too young to be having sex. We keep offering ppl the opportunity to abort and they use that as birth control. They aren't learning from their mistakes!

I don´t really care what she does, I´m just saying, abortion isn´t always the answer, it just depends on the person, some people can handle it and some can´t.. some people would rather put their children up for adoption rather than killing them... I´m just saying..

@Adagio2424 they aren't going to live with the mistake for the rest of their life they can always put the baby up for adoption but would you murder someone i don't think so abortion is murder and it is not right i feel that if a teen is stupid enough to get pregnant she should pay for it by taking the child to full turms and delivering it but then it is their choice they could keep it or put it up for adoption.

even if one were rich a teenager is a teenager and that kid is still screwed. you may be glad now that you had a child early but that is only because you did ok. you have to be done with growing up before you can raise another being. what i would be mad about is that its teen mothers that get most of the consequence and not the fathers . you can turn blue explaining how you took care of your child and that is good but reality is reality no mater how much you want to ignore it.

just because of my age of when i had him made my child screwed?... there are 30 year olds that cant take as good enough care as i can.. i agree with you on the fathers.. My son's father is a low life and wants nothing absolutely nothing to do with now.. he wanted to in the beginning but chickened out when it came to actually giving a shit.. but anyway.. all i am saying is you dont have to be 30 to be able to take care of a kid..but you do need to own up to what happened and alot dont do that
