I prefered the Saturn version to the PS1 version. If only Saturn had games like this at it's release it might have fared better against the mighty PS' golden rep.
I wonder what happened to the developers of this game? They disappeared out of thin air after the Saturn died. Not even Mobygames have any information on them.

Duke3D on the Saturn isn't Duke. It's a bare bones shooter with almost no interactivity or scripting that just looks and sounds like Duke, and is the slowest of the three (it runs at about 75% of the speed of other Duke games). Powerslave has some real gameplay issues as well. Quake may be a bit sluggish, but is very faithful to the original. It's actually more accurate than Quake on the N64.
Wow, the room where the pillars and the fireball shooters used to be is infinitely easier. Now it's just laser grids and hitting of a few switches to get by.
Also, assuming by your play style in the PSX version, you'll be going for the Team Dolls again, right? I hope you know how to 'bomb boost', because I don't think there's dolphin or vulture mode to help you out this time (although I never played the Saturn version at all, only the PSX version).
Yes, I know how to bomb boost. I'm just slightly out of practice though. :P I already collected 2 dolls. But lining up the jumps are sometimes hell. I'll be picking up the dolls along the way. But after I pick up the Horus Feather I'll go back and get the ones I missed (and the ones that require the Feather).
Basically my thumb just healed, and I figured (since my battery died in my Saturn, saves gone) that Powerslave was the perfect game to get me used to the Saturn controller again. ;)
