To fix my scratches on my xbox disc i used screen cleaner it works for me but if you have lots of scratches or deep scratches it won't work.

Xbox slims version of the 'perfect ring scratch' is more like a slice, even after getting it professional buffed/refinished and the disc looks near new ..you'll still see a perfect thin hair like ring around the disc in the travel path of the laser and your game is garbage.

The laser tries to read the damn slice line or something, goes super sonic until it freezes.

Well... my cd only stayed a fraction of second in the wrong position , so i don't think it had enough time to be ruined and that might be the reason that it works...

The game was Forza 3 ... it's not a fake comment , and do exactly what the video says :)

it has to be the traditional kind of toothpaste, the white kind with the silica beads similar to original Colgate or Ultra Brite. Toothpaste "gel" or stripey toothpaste won't do it.

Im not the kind of person to want thumbs ups, because im not some immature 12 year old, but heres the truth and you can thumbs up if this helps and can help others. Toothpaste will work to the extent if your disc is completely unreadable, and will make it so you can at least install it. Blockbuster used to buffer and fix perfect circles/ scartches, but their out of buisiness. And GameStop/Eb games just say screw you. I recomend insalling or getting more memory to install it. Hope this helps guys

Bro. I found a better way on my own. all you have to do is:

1. spread some petroleum jelly on cd.

2. boil it for at least 3 or 4 min (cover down).

3. let it sit on cloth for a few sec (cover down).

4. wipe-off cd in circle motion. Done.

heres the best way to fix a game thats scratched up. borrow an unscratched copy from from somebody, use the disk and download it to your hardrive, and now you can play the game with your scratched up disk

Step 1:Rub The Hydrogen A Little Then Start Dabbing It

Step 2:After 5 Minutes Of Dabbing And Rubbing,Smear The Scratches With Water

Step 3:After 6 Minutes Of Smearing,Dab More Proxide And Let It Dry ON Its OWN.After About 20 Minutes OF Drying,Dab Water With A TV Soft Cloth. Hope I Helped!
