  • 3:37 the whole bit with the "rats in the attic"

That's GOT to be some of the subtlest foreshadowing I've EVER seen in any movie. When you know what it is they're talking about, combined with Aaron's delivery of his "lines" shows you just what a cold, determined man Aaron really is.

For those of you here watching this for the first time, I won't spoil anything but I will say KEEP THAT bit in mind for later.

  • "[W]hat's worse? Thinking you're being paranoid or knowing that you should be?"

Best movie quote EVER!!! I love Primer!

  • started watching, became engrossed, forgot to fullscreen until the clip ended.

  • This has got to be the worse time machine ever!

Way back in 1960 H.G Wells time machine may have looked like a cross between a bath-chair and a gramophone but it could clock up the centuries in a matter of minutes.

In 1963 Dr Who's Tardis may have looked like an old phone box, but not only could it travel time it could take you anywhere in the universe!

  • @MrFrontallobotomy

Are you... seriously trying to start an argument about who has a cooler non-existent device?

  • @SteeleInd If I was going to make a time machine for a movie it would look a bit more convincing than this crack addict tramp's tent.

  • @MrFrontallobotomy

Yeah, you're right. There should be a big clock on it, and a bunch of useless lights and switches. It should also have a big golden chair to sit in.

  • @SteeleInd Damn right, now your talking err.... typing.

  • @SteeleInd A golden throne to sit in.

  • In 1985 Dr Emmett Brown built his time machine out of a sports car and all you had to do was reach 88 M.P.H

And then we have this piece of crap that looks like a Wendy house held together by cable ties and only goes back in time a few hours. Rubbish.

  • @MrFrontallobotomy Way to live up to your name there, genius.

  • @Suolperos You are only jealous because you did not think of the golden throne idea first.

Well, deal with it because I want to add an eagle made of gold with laser beams that shoot out of it's eyes to sit above the throne. Now beat that! Primer....Shimer.

  • ya its all bout teh konzept, just dont work for every1

  • hell of a movie. not sure i've ever seen a film that so effectively masks it's tiny budget. lots of clever cuts and misdirection.

  • Why wasnt this movie more noticed? It is brilliant. and scary. Ebert gave it a good review but I still hadnt heard of it until a few years ago. Thanks for posting so I can dissect it.

  • MINDBLOW!!!....

  • BRILLIANT film. I've never seen dialogue and acting that more precisely mimics actual human behavior and speech (not to mention the concept and plot).

  • Are they time-traveling? Why all the focus on stock picking?

  • @heckler73 Its their use for the time travel. If you know what the stock is going to be later in the day (because you did the research at market close on Tuesday afternoon), you can make a ton of money when you go back in time (at market open on Tuesday morning for example)

  • 3.45 - when he refers to rats in the attic, would i be right in saying this is this a euphemism for their own dark thoughts?

  • @Chortleclips No. I don't want to include spoilers, but think about whats actually in the attic.

  • @mrussocmu yeah, makes sense having watched the rest..
