Haha, several things: (1) America's in trouble; (2) though I disagree with some of the Tiger method, I definitely think much of it is what Americans, who are ultra-entitled, need; (3) ultimately, China will not be the ultra-eliteof world history, as the tiger method, though superb in ways, is just too much like running on pulled hamstrings; (4) smart people will figure out how to extract what works from Chinese and Western models of success, fusing them into a sweet spot for Human development.

Strict, but not extreme, is always good. Abusive is not an excuse to good parenting. Being careless with your kids is the dumbest thing. Give them enough freedom to be creative but be strict with them with respect to their decisions on good/bad.
