Are we better off now than in 1965? Well clearly the answer is no. The neighborhood my Grandparents lived in for 47 years were ruined by poor hispanics and their gang culture. Bring people to America wilth skills not dirt poor people who committ crimes.
Sen Barbara Jordan led a BiPartisan commission in 1995 to find solutions to immigration, Her commission came up with real solutions, like an ID card to be used in applying for jobs & benefits. Her ideas were attacked by the usual anti American traitors and in its place they only suggest another amnesty. Don't be fooled, educate yourself on immigration and how it is a tax on the working poor and helping to wipe out the middle class. Go to numbersusa or vdare for good info.
La Raza isn't a civil rights organization, it's a hate filled racist organization. They are only interested in pushing Amnesty because it's mostly illegals from mexico. They have no love for the US.
Also, they aren't undocumented immigrants. They are illegal immigrants. You know, those who have no right to be here?
"A 'comprehensive' plan doesn't mean much if the government can't accomplish one of its most basic responsibilities for its citizens—securing its borders. A nation without secure borders will not long be a sovereign nation." —Fred Thompson ++ "When we pass a bill that gives people the impression that there are new benefits to be had in the United States... you will have a stampede for the U.S. border that will overwhelm our border forces." —Duncan Hunter
Kennedy is the worst enemy this nation ever had. Thanks to him we are turning into the 3rd world.
Screw Kennedy! THAT BASTARD!
We can sill slow immigration to a crawl All a GOP President has to do, is declare we are overpopulated at 310 million. Using the 'overpopulation argument", we can slow up immigration without bringing the race issue into it. It is the only way.
When a glass is full, no more water can go in it. Our country is being filled with too many people and the standard of living is going down. Look at schools, hospitals, prisons, roads, and land for starters.
The "unintended consequences" of Sen. Kennedy's bill in 1965 is like taking a girl out for a ride, driving off a bridge and leaving her to drow. Every part of America, not just cities, are gasping for a breather from immigration.
