There is a 5th one in the first Stage Act 2. It's at the end of the level at the far right of the screen. It will be in the last area where you can tread underwater....on the right wall, you must search it, and you will find it embedded secretly in another room but be careful....you only have a few second to reach it before you drown! :)

It is easy to find the 4th, it is in act 2 of Angel Island.If you go down the path that you go loop de loop twice and then go over a jump ramp that flips you through the air in front of a waterfall, you will land on a ledge and see 3 springs, a rhino and a swing. go back to the left and go over the edge and youll land in a pool of water with rings on the right hand side, the emerald is hidden to your right.

1:44--there is another giant ring before the one shown, but most likely you will need Tails to reach that ring because it is in the top half of Hydrocity Zone 1 (in fact, the first ring has one small adjacent window and is almost unreachable from the bottom unless you dash-jump.).

hey bud, you think you can make one of these vids for Knuckles? I've been playing Sonic 3 & K on my emulator and I beat Sonic's side without debugging or anything now I'm trying Knux but I'm having a hard time finding the big rings. Can you help?
It is tricky to find, but I find that if you take the upper route in the beginning of the level (don't fall in the water at the start of the stage) make your way over to the left while you're falling and from that ledge either use Tails to fly over to the high edge on the right or try to land on the right hand ledge while you're dropping in. Just follow that path to the end but before you meet the boss look carefully for the giant ring.
It doesn't have to be done at once. You can play through the game again and go for any emeralds you may have missed. But I prefer to get them all in one swoop.

No the 4th on is still in Zone 1 act 2. I can't find the 5th one. I don't understand why he doesn't show you how to get there because all i can see in the video is a wall. And there are about 10 identical walls in that zone. Could someone at least tell me what act it is in? Or where it is more specifically?

When you're getting close to that point just slow down. If anything bounces you away, just fight back. If you take the upper route though, you have to ease off the gas pedal when you go down the ramp. I always take the underwater route through the level. To sum it up: take your time and plan your route before going. Good luck!
I did that on the PC version and it didn't work , yes I got all 7 chaos emeralds and I got 50 rings, and I'm Plaing as Sonic and tails, but when I Double jump I don't go Super, whats the problem???
That IS a problem, it SHOULD work if you have the emeralds and 50 rings. Did you avoid going into the Super rings where you can find the Super Emeralds? If you didn't, then the power to turn super won't work until you get the Super Emeralds. Also, did you make sure you don't have any shieds active? Shields prevent transformation. If none of these is the case then maybe there is something wrong with your system.

i play as tails ,and so far, since i beat angel zone, I have 3 chaos emeralds, before I went to hydrocity. Using the Wii is easier, because the speed on the emulator IS A KILLER!!
To transform as Sonic, jump once and press the jump button again while in mid-jump. You need at least 50 rings for it to work. You can beat the game without the emeralds but I personally prefer to get them to make life easier. Note that the chaos emeralds don't work for Tails. Tails needs the Super Emeralds to turn super.
Ah ok, thanks for the info. One thing though, if you play through the game without getting all the emeralds, and when you get to the last stage, when your falling down with the master emerald, It actually falls away from you, and if you watch through the credits after you see Robotnik standing beside it laughing... Maybe I did something wrong in the game itself I dunno, but I've never beaten the game with all the emeralds.
It is normal that Robotnic would be laughing if you don't get all the emeralds. But you know what? You can just go back and try again in the same file (after you finish the last stage). Just keep trying until you get it! That's what I did, and it took a while to figure out how to get them all. You can do it!

Uhm...thanks i guess. Actually-there is one more bonus ring in the first zone. My dad found it accidentally. Unfortunaly - I don't know -where was that wall,where Sonic got through. Maybe it was big crazy glitch))

The jump button while in midair. It doesn't work if you have less than 50 rings.

I agree, with Hyper Sonic you can double-jump in any direction AND destroy all enemies on-screen at the same time!

on emerald 5 i try to turn left before the boss but it won't let me go to the emerald...it just takes me back up...HELP!!!

When you're getting close to that point just slow down. If anything bounces you away, just fight back. If you take the upper route though, you have to ease off the gas pedal when you go down the ramp. I always take the underwater route through the level. To sum it up: take your time and plan your route before going. Good luck!

I did that on the PC version and it didn't work , yes I got all 7 chaos emeralds and I got 50 rings, and I'm Plaing as Sonic and tails, but when I Double jump I don't go Super, whats the problem???

That IS a problem, it SHOULD work if you have the emeralds and 50 rings. Did you avoid going into the Super rings where you can find the Super Emeralds? If you didn't, then the power to turn super won't work until you get the Super Emeralds. Also, did you make sure you don't have any shieds active? Shields prevent transformation. If none of these is the case then maybe there is something wrong with your system.

Wait a minute, theres 2 special stages in hydrocity act 1, it is around halfway in hydrocity act 1 slightly above the waters

Yes, it is Sonic 3 and Knuckles, for the original Sega Genesis. You can get the emeralds, practice makes perfect!

i play as tails ,and so far, since i beat angel zone, I have 3 chaos emeralds, before I went to hydrocity. Using the Wii is easier, because the speed on the emulator IS A KILLER!!

To transform as Sonic, jump once and press the jump button again while in mid-jump. You need at least 50 rings for it to work. You can beat the game without the emeralds but I personally prefer to get them to make life easier. Note that the chaos emeralds don't work for Tails. Tails needs the Super Emeralds to turn super.

Ah ok, thanks for the info. One thing though, if you play through the game without getting all the emeralds, and when you get to the last stage, when your falling down with the master emerald, It actually falls away from you, and if you watch through the credits after you see Robotnik standing beside it laughing... Maybe I did something wrong in the game itself I dunno, but I've never beaten the game with all the emeralds.

It is normal that Robotnic would be laughing if you don't get all the emeralds. But you know what? You can just go back and try again in the same file (after you finish the last stage). Just keep trying until you get it! That's what I did, and it took a while to figure out how to get them all. You can do it!

It is near the end of act 1. Before you go in to face the robot in the water pit, go to your left.

I think there are two rings. One of them is easier to get with tails.
