  • I always liked his music and thought that he was a cool guy.

  • Hell yeah! i can't wait till 2016!!

  • I love this song , my mom bought the album just because he was on General hospital, she didn't know anything else about him, I thought he was HOT

  • Also, I love the keyboardist in the band, miming playing chords on a Sequential Circuits Pro One (which is monophonic, you can only sound one key at a time).

  • This song is kinda ironic, the song is about getting back in touch with humanity instead of using computers and such, yet most (if not all) of this track seems to be done electronically. That's a synth bass and a drum machine we're hearing, I think most of the keyboard parts are being played via a sequencer, and I suspect even the guitar parts are sampled. I think the vocals and the saxophone solo are about the only things on this song that didn't come off a microchip.

  • I can tell you this...........If those are types of chics I'll get.....I'm starting "Operation Mullet" next week. :)

  • I'm guessing you are a guy,. I've never heard one girl call him ugly. No, he's lucky this look was in back then. Wth is that outfit?

  • It's a good thing that Rick Springfield was such an amazing singer and dancer, because he was so extremely ugly that he never would have made it big otherwise.

  • OK so the videos were at best campy in the 80s, but that was what the fun was!! The songs are still great and have a special place in my heart! You can't really appreciate them unless you saw them on MTV for the first time. Some computer company needs to incorporate this song in to a commercial, it would be like, OMG, totally AWESOME!

  • why cant it still be the 80's till 2016 and beyond

  • i hope today's genre of music dies off in 2016

  • 2016 is looking pretty good, the economy must pick up quite soon..

  • How bad is this video - but what a great song - better than any Simon Cowell Shit - he can produce !

  • only IU and rick music has been keeping me...oh never minde,,

  • Captian's Log 2016:

Cheesy Star Trek inspired costumes? Check.

    Ewokish creatures? Check.

    Smokin' Hot rock star? Check

  • 2016 and he still has that crappy tv.

  • omg take back to 6 GRADE!!! love rick springfield he was so hot!! mine opinion.

  • THIS SONG IS AWESOME! C:

  • :O this guy is a sexy ass JUST SAYIN...NICE lol and I love this song...

  • God this is cheesy but I would rather listen to this than some of that garbage they call music nowadays! ;)

  • Ah Rihanna get the F**k oft of the 80s i dont even care about Lady Gaga Jessie J Tinie Tempah The Black Eyed Peas Katy Perry Taio Cruz and especially that stupid teenage singer with a girls voice known as Justin Beber f**k todays singers they can all be blown off by Gene Simmons fire!

  • this song beats katy perry , justin bieber .etc any day

  • SOME FEMALE NAMED MARCIA DOREEN WILLIAMS STATED SHE CAN BIRTH A KERI ANN LOGAN AND WITH SOME MAN NAMED MARCELLE AND SHE TURNED THAT WAY.

  • DADDY THE SULTAN OF BRUNAI I JUST BROKE AN OVEN GLASS BECAUSE KERI ANN WRIGHT THE FIRST HERMAPHERDITE WONT STEP OFF WITH HER OTHER MIGEL.

  • Rick's got so many good songs and ppl just think he's Mr. Jessie's Girl and that's all. LOL

  • its so nice to watch an amazing advanced video for that time. the video actually were great and didnt need sex sell it....

  • i have seen RICK play LIVE.he is awsome.SO u haters get a life.RICK ROCKS HARD.his music has held up through the test of time.as he has.so before u bash him go see him perform.he is awesome.

  • Such a good looking man.

  • This song - Human Touch - By Rick Springfield peaked at # 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart on 09-24-1983

  • ah the 80's. When there was creativity in mainstream music instead of talent less puppets on strings like the garbage of today. Fuck the 00's

  • @TRE1275 its not 00's currently dumbass

  • This was a time when talent was precedent over money.

  • If youtube existed in 1980's these songs would have over 50 m views, but now people are stupid they say "I don't like the song is old". Some corporations say "Now this is beautiful" and people are like ships "Yeeees that is beautiful". Runaway world, hate it. I hope world will change, people will think with their own mind and this kind of songs will be back again...

  • AWESOME!

  • Ah yes, back when 2016 was the distant future. Feel old?

  • @fireamusesme hahahaha I know what kind of fantasies you were making in 80's about 2010+ years. Flying cars and so haha. Now everything is the same except young people are extremly stupid, listening to songs some corporations, companies are qualifying as GOOD, dressing as the corporations want, you were thinkin' with your mind in the 80's and 90's

  • We all need it! I need it too!!!!!

  • It's funny how the recoding industry and media manipulate artists and public perception. Marketing is at the core evil of social engineering. Somebody is making money off of you whether you like it or not. What you gonna do about it?

  • @TurboRonin83 Marketing is another word for bullshit!!

  • gotta love the good ole days when music was music and not this modern crap

  • why does this not have over 1 million views? Rebbca black relasses half baked beans as song and gets over 25 million . this is actually good. and only 385 thsound. thumbs up if u agree that this deserves more viewes

  • @505bud Unfortunately, in a world dominated by hip-hop, rap, and Lady Gaga, real music anymore is largely ignored. So I certainly do hear you there. People

  • who was brought here by GTA:vice city

  • I WAS A TEEN IN THE 80'S AND RICK SPRINGFIELD WAS MY FIRST LOVE....WAS GONNA MARRY THAT MAN WHEN I GREW UP...SIGHHHHHH!!

  • Y'know....Rick seems kinda bored in this video. Or it's his reaction to having to do this cheezy video.

  • I hate being born in 1994. Missed out on living in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. It was so much cooler to live back then! Their was music, better movies. Being a teenager in this generation sucks!!!

  • @PhilliesBaseballPhan My son feels the same way, because he's grown up listening to music from my generation. It was awesome!

  • LOL. 2016 is like what 5 years from now? I was a kid when this came out. 1983 was the year i discovered music.

  • No Facebook, just human touch!!!!!

  • @aludar GOOD COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You know...in five years according to the video...we will all be dressing like this.

  • 80s goodness! RS was my first concert as a kid. I was in love.

  • @VampireMusic666

I was also born in 95, and I'm not crying about it. Sure the 80's had great music and stuff, but we currently do too. I don't have a facebook acount, and iphone, and I don't like Justin Bieber, but there is more then all that. Just look around, and maybe you'll find something.

  • i had the biggest crush on Rick Springfield in the 1980's

  • The scary part of this Video is when rick asks what year are they in and the computer says 2016, that's only 5 years from now.

  • 2016 is would be the Summer Olympics in Rio

  • The 80s was a awesome decade they really put a lot of work into music video back then it was really cool to see a new video by someone back then now no one even cares to bad MTV was really great back then now it's just one stupid show after another why do they even call it MTV it has nothing to do with music

  • lol 2016

  • this video freaking rules

  • When 2016 comes, he better start one of his concerts by coming out of that box. I have my heart set on this happening.

  • @megan010492 on my son's account, but I agree 1000%!!!!!

  • @niiiicepants Yes! :)

  • Comment removed

  • @megan010492 I'm sure he will be in a wheelchair by then, lol!

  • @fromthip81 yeah right, have you SEEN him lately?

  • @megan010492 and he'll still look good by then, the man just doesn't age it is weird.

  • @aruhs91 I know right? Haha.

  • Uh oh ... 2016 isn't that far away now! LOL

  • Only 5 years till 2016!!

  • Are we protecting our children too much these days, narrowing their space to grow within a size of the LCD ? It used to be TV, now its the portable LCD device that everyone embraces in the name of ''Keeping in touch" so they built them with touch pads......... but nothing beats the human touch

  • The Alien at 3:07 is fuckin' epic. :D

  • Comment removed

  • everybodys talking to computers dancing to a drum machine , this guy musta had a crystal ball todays music sucks so bad , bring back the 80's

  • @FocusRS1970 great comment! there is no human touch nowadays and music is dead as we knew it..

  • 2016? Rick's prescient! He's right; we all need the human touch!

  • rick is the greatest singer of all time and still is for people and the 5 people who did not like this video u never experienced the human touch i pity u all choosing lady gaga katy perry and justin bieber over this golden piece of art i am only 12 and i love 80"s music it is still better than the this day and age singers

  • lol those 80s videos..

  • just seen him live in columbus, ohio at our local festival; the only thing i would have EVER went there for. he was AMAZING! especially when he ran back out and surprised us with one more song with his shirt off. he looks better than 20 year olds i've seen. got my lucky ass a guitar pick & a still-in-tact bouquet of roses that he didn't destroy on his guitar at the show (: so lucky

  • LOL!! "Hello Sally, what year are we in?" Sally "2016" , do ya think we'll all be dressing like this in 5 years?? lol! :)

  • This was one of the last songs that I liked from Rick. Sadly after the Livin' in Oz album. I felt he went down hill with his music. JMO.

  • Happy Birthday Rick!

  • Check out former Vikings coach, Brad Childress at 3:18. Lmao!

  • Katy Perry has no right being next to a classic..or real music for that matter.

  • The video is a little cornball, but the song is excellent.

  • @ih8kit It was the 80's..most videos were cornball lol

  • My wife and i just saw him at the windstar casino in Thackerville OK. this past saturday night. What a great show he put on. He still has all the moves at 62. Check out Windstar it is the 3rd largest casino in the world.

  • great song

  • @o:59 WOW! This is only 5 years away!

  • Is that a C64 at 1:08?

  • he's SMOKIN HOT SEXY for going on 62!!! He is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! - love you Rick- Rovianne Goodbody

  • I'm a man. I'm straight. I love Rick Springfield music. Is that wrong? :o)

  • @smitty54017 How's that wrong?

  • @GKSocNet He's now 50+, but still damn hottttttt!

  • @michele48334 Actually he was born in 1949 and he is 61 years old...Money helps you to look good also..

  • @michele48334 Actually he was born in 1949 and he is 61 years old...Money helps you to look good also..

Richard Lewis Springthorpe is his real name..

  • @thisux7x7 Thanks hon, I guess I didn't realize he was that old... just a little younger than my MOM! lol (shhh... I'd still do him!) haha!

  • it is amazing the way this song and video predicted where we are today. Where is the "Human Touch" ?

  • I lived right through the 80s from junior high school into college. What a time that was. Truly, the decade of decadence!

  • Rick hit #18 in Billboard, 9-10-83. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • ive got the 45 of this song. just a catchy song.

  • Brings back the memories of our H.S. cheerleaders dancing to this song back in 83, Awesome in both ways.

  • I wanna watch this in 2016 and see if Ricky was right about the future.

  • Memors of Vice city stories flash fm i mis that game

  • Is this what we have to look forward in 5 years? LOL!

  • you can put your fucking videos inside your ass in your fucking country fucking shit vevo D:< why you show me your shits if i can't even see them?? FUCK YOU!

  • Wow, behold the future...

  • 2016 ad........pretty boring really :)

  • It's hard to believe that 5 years from now the world will look like this. But the song is awesome.

  • Sounds a lot like Sheila E's "Glamorous Life"

  • @citb2 Yeah...because Prince stole it when he wrote that song for Sheila E. Blatantly so.

  • How can a bunch of primitive mutants have flashlights?

  • I want that jacket!

  • hey girls rick spring field he is mine man he,s not your he is mine when i,ll turn 50 years old he,s coming to my big bash he is going to get me flowers and a tee shirt 2 x so back off he is taking

  • I bought that same jacket from the Sears jrs department last fall.

  • awesome

  • hey i agree and I'm 23!! fuck today's "music"

  • this version is totally different.from springstien

  • Bruce Springsteen did this song first and better!

  • @busterbone Rick's song and Sringteen's song is NOT the same song.

  • The irony of this song is about how we talk to computers and not humans. How he knew that almost 30 years ago.......

  • Too bad the keytar was taken back to 1985.

  • 2 different songs ,duh.

  • Here's Bucksugar's all time top 5 annoyances when watching videos on You Tube (in no particular order):

    1. Vevo and f**ing commercials, next to pictures of this Justin Bieber Character

    2. People referencing a TV show or movie to the song, e.g. Glee, Family Guy, etc.

    3. People keeping track of the likes and dislikes (this is particularly annoying)

    4. Snide comments about appearances.

    5. Vevo

Can ya help ole Bucksugar out?

  • @buck62sugar the glee references annoy me, it seems as if some people didn't have ears before glee or something. i just dont get it.

  • @buck62sugar Totally agreed. how many times do people have to remark on how many people disliked a certain video? stop counting for me, I can read numbers. moreover, we get it, they don't like the song or whatnot, that doesn't make them stupid; it's just their opinion.

  • cute

  • wow, 2016 isn't that far away!

  • I love them and his music!!!

Marco una epoca con sus canciones, y el tambien provocaba suspiros!!

    Awesone

    Desde Chile

  • unless the world changes massively in the next 5 years, i cant see those haircuts becoming the "thing"

  • @garethkielty I hope so!

  • 4 people have never experienced the "human touch."

  • @slym2none 1 person "slym2none" doesn't realize the "(insert number of thumbs down) people blah blah blah" comment is played the fuck out already.

  • It's interesting how many anachronisms are in this video. The year is 2016 but they are still using boxy monitors instead of flat plasma screens, etc.

  • @Layerboyz maybe boxy monitors will be back in by then. Who knows.

  • The funner side of Captain Power!

You go Rick, don't get rolled now.

  • No one can deny that we ALL need it.

  • Springfield is the only guy who can pull off a mullet and still look good

  • I'll happily take this over today's "music" ANY DAY

  • @rg2027x You got that right.

  • @pickledogpete Rick is a truly talented songwriter, musician & arranger. Who could craft a song this good, nowadays? Lyrically, musically. Doesn't happen anymore. I took this uplifting music for granted, back in the day. Music that elevated your emotions, made you feel good about life. Thought it was gonna be around forever, and only get better. Lol! (sigh)

  • @rg2027x I think alot of us thought music would stay kool, but I guess we were wrong. It's just sad, but we can still watch youtube and remember. Rock On my friend.

  • @pickledogpete His old music is still kool.

  • @rg2027x You're right. Rick Springfield's music cheers people up.

  • @rg2027x then listen to miami horror, reckless love, chromeo, etc real music like 70s-80s is coming back.. :)

  • @rg2027x I wouldn't even classify most of the crap on the radio today as music at all...its auto-tuned, sound effects, & talking (repeating really) that gets on my nerves faster than nails on a chalkboard!! And whats with all these idiots saying there name in the song somewhere?? If that was me, I wouldn't want anyone to know! lol! Graduated from high school in 87, this music brings me back... :)

  • @rg2027x The music now is why I listen to country 99% of the time.

  • @jalimze84 Most what passes for "music" nowadays is unlistenable. I can't turn on the radio anymore without wanting to projectile vomit.

  • Thanks for sharing!

man I hadnt heard this song in so long...feels weird..it took me way back.

    it's great! :)

    thanks for the posts.

  • This album just ripped heads off with Affair of the Heart because it proved without a doubt Springfield could rock and this was a fun stellar followup. The video ending shows clearly what was on the minds of kids in the 80s. The human touch wasn't about alienation and nuclear war, it was about figuring out a way to get your girl into a small car like chamber and getting the human touch undisturbed! Here Rick shows you how to perm your hair and employe the fake trip method to achieve the goal.

  • When music videos told a story xD

  • Its so wierd how people thinked that world is going to look like in 21 century.

  • Is there a stronger opening to a song? Most underrated song by Rick.

  • He is still doing concerts, will be in Dubuque Iowa in march or april at the diamond jo casino.

  • I LOVE RICK SPRINGFIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I LOVE RICK SPRINGFIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
