It is and it isn't a Football Song , yes it originated from Rogers and Hammerstien but Liverpool Football Club uses it as a tribute to the fans who died at the Hillsborogh tragedy back in the 80s. i like it as a football anthem but it is also just a great song
I'm not a mother, my mother's still alive. But this commercial makes me cry every time I come across it. Thank you mom, not only for putting up with me, but for unconditionally loving me.
P&G do animal testing don't they? that means they throw acid into the eyes of rabbits and all the other ingredients they use. wonder what mothers would make of that?
0:33 except nowadays instead of just speaking to the parents about a fight and settling things like human beings, the school would suspend the kid for X amount of mandatory days regardless of circumstances, as required by laws passed by totalitarian school boards or legislators.
The fact is that more than 600 companies manufacture safe and effective products that are comparable to Procter & Gamble's WITHOUT TESTING ON ANIMALS. When I called the company to ask if they tested on animals Jose LIED and said they didn't. Not only do they kill thousands of animals, but they LIE about their products.
@nanners1981....you are correct about the song. So very correct. However, never call Liverpool Football Club stupid. The song is about more than just Liverpool Football. It's about the supporters, the faithful...the many who cry when when the club loses, and sing and cheer when the club is at good form. It's about the 96 who passed away as Hillsborough. I respect this commercial for the message it carriers, so please respect LFC and it's song. YNWA
PROCTER AND GAMBLE TEST'S ON ANIMALS. iF YOU DONT THINK IT'S A BIG DEAL TYPE UP ANIMAL TESTING ON YOUTUBE. THERE ARE MANY OTHER PRODUCTS THAT DON'T TEST ON ANIMALS...PLUS THEY ARE MORE NATURAL. BE A CARING CONSUMER.
I love the song and don't really mind that it was used in a commercial. But it does irritate me that they edited it down and left out the part that starts with "at the end of the storm". They either should have left off the first part entirely or used the whole song.
Walk Alone was her very favorite song. At the end of the commercial, it says, "Thank you, Mom". I got chills down my spine. I Love You Mom and I miss you every second of every day!!
My dear Mom Shirley passed away on January 22nd of this year. You'll Never Walk Alone was her very favorite song. At the end of the commercial, it says, "Thank you, Mom". I got chills down my spine. I Love You Mom and I miss you every second of every day!!
Yes, there are two wome singing. They are Shirley Bassey & Varya Rubin, and it is an awesome song. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of it, either the single MP3 or the entire album. Thanx
I know that some of you don't like this video whether it may be because of a football team or being a single dad. Even though I am a man and will one day be a dad, I must say that the role of a mother is very significant and the bond between a child and its mother is so great that not I nor any other man will ever understand. It is beautiful to see that humanity hasn't totally maligned the importance of mothers who are there from the lightest of our days to the darkest of our nights.
Yeah, as a single dad who made sure the kids got to their sports and had emphasis on education even before the divorce, screw off P&G. How sexist would it be to show an engineering or R&D department full of men, but it's ok to show the only nurturing parent as a woman? I hope every one of you who love this have girls that grow up with dreams of being housewives and boys waiting for them to bring beer and shut up.
This commercial made me sob the first time I saw it. It literally brings me to tears even now, especially the ending. I can barely stop myself from breaking into a sob right now. This video is terribly moving and touches the very core of my soul. Good job...
This is a great commercial I dont care what other people think. So what if it was made by P & G, I'm sure ALL mothers used these products beforehand. Also I commend P&G for not have any product placement in the main part of the commercial itself. That being said, this commercial hits it on the head, no one know what sacrifices a mother has to make for their kid on any level of any sport.
fyi, this is NOT originally a FOOTBALL song, it is from musical by Rogers & Hammerstien for the musical CAROUSEL. This is a touching commerical, the fact that people are saying nasty things because some stupid football/soccer team uses it....doh, could you be any more childish?

Great video, but why is mom in first scene shown holding her newborn in an operating room, rather than a birthing room? The OR pictured isn't even the typical type used for cesareans; it looks like a regular OR. Cesarean ORs tend to be much smaller than regular surgery rooms.
This was my Dads favorite song when he and my Mom dated. It was the LAST song my mom (she had a beautiful saprano voice) ever sang, and she sang it for an audiance. Needless to say, this touched my heart deeply.
I like the commercial. It's touching, but what about dads? Some of the current olympians like Apolo Ohno got there because of their single dads. I feel like its should say Thank You Parents.
And so appropriate, since Joannie Rochette's mother just passed away this morning. I hope Joannie sees this commercial and remembers that her mother will always be with her.
By the way, have you all called your own mothers today? I did!
