  • Mums = Money

  • This is a song my mom would tuck me to bed with...I cant watch the comercial without tearing up

  • END VIVISCETION NOW, SMASH THE FUCKING LABS, FUCK P&G MURDERING SCUM.

  • I cried the first time I saw this commercial, I don't know, I think it somehow reminds me of my mom and what she's done for me all these 20 years :'(

  • Was the song ever used in any of Roger and Hammerstiens' plays?

  • what about p&g thankyou dad? ever think that the reason you are here and the reason you are who you are has a big part to do with your DAD?

  • It is and it isn't a Football Song , yes it originated from Rogers and Hammerstien but Liverpool Football Club uses it as a tribute to the fans who died at the Hillsborogh tragedy back in the 80s. i like it as a football anthem but it is also just a great song

  • I'm not a mother, my mother's still alive. But this commercial makes me cry every time I come across it. Thank you mom, not only for putting up with me, but for unconditionally loving me.

  • 0:33 except nowadays instead of just speaking to the parents about a fight and settling things like human beings, the school would suspend the kid for X amount of mandatory days regardless of circumstances, as required by laws passed by totalitarian school boards or legislators.

  • couldn't mom get a better seat?

  • Vomit.

  • the boy at 0:33 seconds was great

  • the bot at 0:33 seconds was great

  • Isn't this song used in an advert in the UK, a recent one sung my a male? does anybody know the cover version/advert I mean?

  • People who dislike this commercial are hard to understand. It is all I can do to stop myself from crying when I see it.

    Miss you, Mom.

  • This is one of my fav. commercials during the Olympics! seven people clicked the dislike button by mistake

  • The fact is that more than 600 companies manufacture safe and effective products that are comparable to Procter & Gamble's WITHOUT TESTING ON ANIMALS. When I called the company to ask if they tested on animals Jose LIED and said they didn't. Not only do they kill thousands of animals, but they LIE about their products.

  • @nanners1981....you are correct about the song. So very correct. However, never call Liverpool Football Club stupid. The song is about more than just Liverpool Football. It's about the supporters, the faithful...the many who cry when when the club loses, and sing and cheer when the club is at good form. It's about the 96 who passed away as Hillsborough. I respect this commercial for the message it carriers, so please respect LFC and it's song. YNWA

  • This is definitely the Judy Garland recording in the background...

  • @surferluver This is Shirley Bassey, not Garland.

  • AWESOME! and so true!!

  • wish it wasn't figure skating at the end

  • @duewey14

What is wrong with figure skating?

  • Best commercial of the Olympics.

  • LFC <3.

  • This video will be a great Mother's Day gift to all Mom's

  • I love the song and don't really mind that it was used in a commercial. But it does irritate me that they edited it down and left out the part that starts with "at the end of the storm". They either should have left off the first part entirely or used the whole song.

  • If you haven't heard the Liverpool fans at anfield sing this song it is quite an amazing experience.

  • I love this commercial, well because I love this song.

  • woooot! the figure skater in the red dress, that would be me :)

  • you guys shut your asses up and stay off here if you dont like it because some people do and do we care if you dont? NOOOOOOOOOO

  • @Madypoo16

I agree - if you do not understand this sing, you are devoid of a soul.

  • This totally SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice ... love it..

  • This version of You'll Never Walk Alone is by Shirley Bassey, from her CD "Songs From The Shows" available now on iTunes!

  • Walk Alone was her very favorite song. At the end of the commercial, it says, "Thank you, Mom". I got chills down my spine. I Love You Mom and I miss you every second of every day!!

  • My dear Mom Shirley passed away on January 22nd of this year. You'll Never Walk Alone was her very favorite song. At the end of the commercial, it says, "Thank you, Mom". I got chills down my spine. I Love You Mom and I miss you every second of every day!!

  • This is the kind of commercial that ever advertiser wants to have thought of. So beautiful... love you, Mom

  • This is sung by a local singer-actress from Vancouver-the one changing the flat tire-Varya Rubin

  • @judimike21 Really? For I have a feeling this is sung by the legendary Shirley Bassey.

  • It is Shirley Bassey. And she is legendary.

  • there are actually two women singing, you are probably both right.

  • Yes, there are two wome singing. They are Shirley Bassey & Varya Rubin, and it is an awesome song. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of it, either the single MP3 or the entire album. Thanx

  • nope....

  • Comment removed

  • YNWA!

  • Awesome.

  • Can't watch this without crying.

  • Talk about a commercial with a punch - a lasting emotional impact. Well done, P&G.

  • I love Carousel! this song is perfect for this

  • she song is from the musical Carousal

  • Liverpool rocks.... P&G suck dick.

  • I know that some of you don't like this video whether it may be because of a football team or being a single dad. Even though I am a man and will one day be a dad, I must say that the role of a mother is very significant and the bond between a child and its mother is so great that not I nor any other man will ever understand. It is beautiful to see that humanity hasn't totally maligned the importance of mothers who are there from the lightest of our days to the darkest of our nights.

  • Yeah, as a single dad who made sure the kids got to their sports and had emphasis on education even before the divorce, screw off P&G. How sexist would it be to show an engineering or R&D department full of men, but it's ok to show the only nurturing parent as a woman? I hope every one of you who love this have girls that grow up with dreams of being housewives and boys waiting for them to bring beer and shut up.

  • I didn't know that Cincinnati, OH is full of scouse bastards. MUFC forever.

  • This track is available to download on iTunes : Artist: Shirley Bassey on her CD "Songs From The Shows".

  • This commercial made me sob the first time I saw it. It literally brings me to tears even now, especially the ending. I can barely stop myself from breaking into a sob right now. This video is terribly moving and touches the very core of my soul. Good job...

  • This is a great commercial I dont care what other people think. So what if it was made by P & G, I'm sure ALL mothers used these products beforehand. Also I commend P&G for not have any product placement in the main part of the commercial itself. That being said, this commercial hits it on the head, no one know what sacrifices a mother has to make for their kid on any level of any sport.

  • Youll Never Walk Alone sung by Shirley Bassey

  • fyi, this is NOT originally a FOOTBALL song, it is from musical by Rogers & Hammerstien for the musical CAROUSEL. This is a touching commerical, the fact that people are saying nasty things because some stupid football/soccer team uses it....doh, could you be any more childish?

  • um football is not the only place where this song is from. When I was in the high school marching band, and our senior tradition was when all the seniors sang this song.

  • @Nanners1981

For your information if you saw us at Anfield singing it you'd eat your own words.

FYI We put this into production ok. I agree with you on the childness, but other people have just as much right as you to comment on this for any reason. YNWA LFC<3

  • @Nanners1981 "Some stupid football/soccer team"..... FAIL.

  • To "anubis25" they orginal artist was Judy Garland

  • no, judy garland was not the original, although she has covered it

  • does any one know who sings this version? I can't seem to find a good match.

  • great commercial. Thanks P&G!

  • Love Liverpool...love this ad. Great stuff.

  • Yummy Mummys YNWA

  • We won't hear this song again until the end of that damn telethon in 6 months.

  • moms for liverpool fc

  • This is a football song fyi

  • "Hey, moms, we respect you! Buy our products!"

  • Thank you for this commercial... made me cry when I saw it. You never understand a Mother's love until you lose a Mother, have a child of your own, and experience the love she had for you on your own. I miss my Mother SO much. Thank you for this...

  • @AMarieM78 Amen!!!!!!!

  • @AMarieM78 Your mother loved you very much. You will always carry her love in you and that way she is always with you.

  • Wonderful vocals from Dame Shirley Bassey!

  • @ cduk2001

Thank you, I was wondering who it was!

  • Great commercial.

  • Hey I went to school with the first girl in the hospital bed!! And no she isn't the same one at the end of the commercial. Great commercial!!

  • it's Shirley Bassey not Shirley Jones singing this version.

  • Is it a redeeming quality that I teared up at that?

  • Most Definitely.

  • Had to send this to my own mom. Sums up so much.

  • it gets you right in the heart.

  • This was my Dads favorite song when he and my Mom dated. It was the LAST song my mom (she had a beautiful saprano voice) ever sang, and she sang it for an audiance. Needless to say, this touched my heart deeply.

  • This commercial slays me (in a good way). Is that the same Mom in the first and last shots of the commercial?

  • this commerical is just amazing

  • Joannie ..........

  • no fair - I don't want to have tears but that tune... can't help it.

  • Shirley Jones sings this version.

  • It is awesome and very touching.

  • P&G and all there CEO's can suck it hard!

  • I like the commercial. It's touching, but what about dads? Some of the current olympians like Apolo Ohno got there because of their single dads. I feel like its should say Thank You Parents.

  • Who sings this version?

  • @SailorMarsWeasley39 -varya rubin from vancouver

  • And so appropriate, since Joannie Rochette's mother just passed away this morning. I hope Joannie sees this commercial and remembers that her mother will always be with her.

By the way, have you all called your own mothers today? I did!

  • Oh my gosh, I had the grab the kleenex when I saw this air. Beautifully done. :)

  • on my way to watch the LFC game and heard this as i was walking out....LFC!!!!! YNWA!!!

  • "You Will Never Walk Alone"

  • I wonder what song they are singing...?

  • @SenzaNomeThi3f The song is "You'll Never Walk Alone" from the musical "Carousel" by Rogers and Hammerstein.

  • @SenzaNomeThi3f -duh....you'll never walk alone....

  • I'm so used to seeing the greatest fans on Earth sing this song so it kinda ruined it for me, but oh well. I like it.

  • Thats my kid in the first scene!

  • I'm sorry :(

  • Love it!!

  • I Love It!! Great Commerical!!!!

  • this commercial made me think more about Liverpool and Glasgow Celtic football clubs , lol

  • @blackandblue10 Lol same thing, man. Didn't give a fuck about the commercial after I heard the first few words.

  • GREAT commercial!

  • My cousin's in this one too !

    So proud :)

  • I'm thinking the person who made the comment about it being a bad commercial isn't a mom...

  • It's a good commercial and a better song. It's a better song when it's sung by 55,000 people at once, though.
