Defined benefit is a DEFINED BENEFIT PLAN like medicare or medicaid where you BENEFITS ARE CLEARLY DEFINED! A "premium support" plan is a plan to SUPPORT people by helping supplement their PREMIUM payments on health insurance with a voucher. The guy could have just asked, 'Medicare or Vouchers', but come on this man is running for fucking president!

The proposal to replace the current Medicare system with one of private premium support was the single biggest controversy within the Republican party last year when it showed up in Paul Ryan's bill. I can appreciate there might be 'folks' who aren't familiar with the terms, but every GOP member of Congress will be. Medicare: Status quo or Paul Ryan's alternative?

@veritasEtjusticia I suggest you review the TARP vote, by Party. There most certainly was a clear distinction of which political party was most supportive of bailing out Wall Street. In the House, the Republicans overwhelmingly voted against it, and the Dems heavily for it. In the Senate, both Parties voted for it, but 45% of Reps said NO, and only 24% of Dems said no. So, if you think Wall Street should have been let to go under, vote Republican you fucking dunce. Review.

If your point is that neither Party is totally "pure" to the most extreme ideology of the left or right, I agree. Yet still, there is a difference. Bank Bailouts more heavily endorsed by the Libs. Conservatives far more likely to say "fuck the banks, let them crash".
