i used masterll strategy without kill the Hito's mobs. I used last word, null death, it's annoying sometimes, salvation for ailments, and i wasn't have problems, i lost him just once. I never will play this game again lol
The fact that he opens up with Gaea rage when you have immunities may be that from his perspective, you would be a normal encounter with immunities so he does the smart thing and just stops using his other attacks and just ends it there.

@KiakaKyle Revival orb is a re-usable item. Revival beads, however, are single-use. I forget the name of the single-use full revives, but you get the general idea. I'm not to keen on what you have to do for it, but I'm pretty sure you do something special to get the re-usable orb like you have to in Nocturne.
Lol I love it how the music for the battle against the Demi Fiend is exactly the same random encounter battle song from the Nocturne game. Thats just how powerful the Demi Fiend is, its just another random encounter for him to fight your party in this game.
To really drive the notion home, in Nocturne Javelin Rain, Heat Wave, and Gaea Rage weren't even very good attacks. And his crew of demons isn't exactly top-notch either. He COULD be pelting you with Freikugel and Spiral Viper and summoning Metatron, Beelzebub, and Shiva, but you're not worth the effort. And even if you manage to beat him, he just leaves behind a note taunting you. You're just nowhere near his level.
@AceRyonik Gaea rage still was a powerful attack back in nocturne. Surely it wasn't almighty and risked a miss turn, but yet it has very high critical rate, and heavy damage - if not mega.
In here, Gaea Rage is strong enough to make Kagutsushi (Nocturne's 1st final boss) Hitoshura's bitch :p
And yeah, good for players the demi fiend doesn't use Freikugel.

Hito-shura's difficulty is not in the strategy that you use, but in will that strategy succeed. Even with one, it is still a luck based mission and the only difference is whether you can beat him in 3 tries instead of 30. His stats and demons alone are overpowering but actually surviving Gaea Rage is the difficult part. If you say he's easy, then you really would have to be a noob because any halfway decent player already knows that this is a hard fight. Look at the videos, no curb stomps.

Because thats monsters have the necesary skills to make this battle so hard, all monsters that he summons makes the perfect support team. Physical attacks, fatal attacks, ailments, magic attacks and support skills (kajas). Its hard but not impossible. "Red Star" strategy hehehe, yeap, infamous. I prefer the normal battle strategy.
You didn't use the null attack ability at all I see. Apparently I can't use that ability because his AI is to freakin smart. I tired 2 times with 2 char with this ability and he Gaea Raged me on the first turn both tries without even giving me a chance. So you're forced to take his brutish beatings.

@Greliat: Sometimes, if your luck is high, you will be able to survive a deadly blow and be reverted to your human form. I'm not sure about the high luck but this happens randomly.
Ok im gonna clear any misconceptions. hito shura was only in the 1st one, i checked it out, on the SMT wiki, the ultimate optional boss in number 2 is satan, the demi fiend makes no appearance in the second one, and if he does its not registered on anywhere ive seen, ive only just ordered the game online. dont dis me out im just trying to clear stuff up.
Huh... I played this before Nocturne, and watching this made me realize that they swapped the names/animations of Javelin Rain and Xeros-Beat (that is, in Nocturne, when you do Xeros-Beat he does the Javelin Rain animation here, and vice-versa.)

@dobrodtdavid : The only optional bosses that appear in the DDS2 final dungeon are Jack Frost, Shiva, Vishnu, Seth and in Hard Mode, Satan. The Demi-Fiend does not appear in DDS2, only in DDS1 does he appear in the Citadel after you've reached the Top-Most Floor in the final dungeon.

True. Serph's stats are customizable, so he's easily a favorite. Cielo falls asleep more frequently because of his weakness, so he's typically used to survive Gaea Rage. I favored Gale over Argilla, though, because Magic Noises are really easy to get in comparison to other noises.
Hi I have some question about this guy, I can not defeat him, I some case he kil serph and argilla, and cu chu made charm ( the heart upon the head) on cielo and I can not recover from that. Of course not. He just cut the video into 2 small segments. The first where he sets it up and then after he's pretty much drained all of the demon's mana and is getting ready to kill the Demi-fiend. This fight takes forever.
Red Star's strategy takes longer than a regular strategy. Normally, you can use two chars to attack and Power Charge + Ragnarok deals a ton of punishment if you fight normally.
This video is basically a cut-up Red Star strat video which skips the whole mana draining phase, which would be several vids of the same shit.
MasterLL only took so long because he fought defensively, didn't max his Vt and HPs out so had to spend more press turns healing. It can be won normally in about 28-35 minutes.
My friend mentioned something about how the Demi-fiend's demons will heal him up to full the first time you reduce his HP to 50%. I didn't see that happen o_o Did I just miss it, or did you somehow preempt that?
You don't need 99 in all stats, especially not for Red Star Strategy. I beat him at L94/92/92, and it was a cinch.
Even when I tried the 'real' way, none of his demons could do much damage. All I had to worry about were fluke deaths like Gate of Hell and Gaea Rage. Life Surge solves the HP problems, easy.
Fighting him/them at the lowest solar noise probably would have made it somewhat easier, but other then that you do seem to need the Irish's luck to survive this devil.
@LordSpectreXII since the demons forms the people get are based on demons technicly yes and no. its probably a man who got the demi fiends form and power but isnt the real demi fiend.
I tried doing the RSS 10 times and didn't get anywhere. Then, on my 11th time, I spammed Ragnarok whenever I could and faced the dreaded Gaea Rage about 4 or 5 times & managed to survive long enough to defeat the Demi-Fiend.
I'm almost tempted to start my 3rd run of DDS just to fight the Demi-Fiend again.
This looks pretty hard. Is it possible to master all mantras in one play through? I've got a good portion done so far on everybody and wanted to beat this in one round of this game because I want to continue on to DDS.
There are sites that award you fake money(points) that are redeemable for items on amazon which has both of the DDS games for around 30 bucks which is 3000 points each. It takes time to get the points and what not but if you're interested I can tell you more.
I think the boss battle from Nocturne would've fitted this battle against Hitoshura better. That and its higher on the scale of epic awesomeness so battleing against someone like hitoshura, it would've been better. Then again, to be honest, i'd be doing more jamming to the music than fighting so I'd probably just get owned like hell that way lol

My top 5 most badass main characters in RPG history would be Hitoshura, Cloud, Minato (Persona 3's main character), Alicia (Valkyrie Profile 2), Zack Fair (kinda pathetic how he went out though all considering who he's beaten before he got killed), Tatsuya (Persona 2 IS and EP's main character), and Raidou are tied at number 1. I forgot who would be numbers 2, 3, 4, or 5 though lol
Wow It's kind of weird to watch someone fight the demi-fiend. I've been playing a lot of nocturne lately and I'm very used to being behind the demi-fiend not fighting against him lol. Just got the true demon ending last night working on maxing my compendium then I'll start playing DDS. I have both DDS 1 and 2 just waiting to be played.
Also I love Gaea Rage. Such an Awesome attack. Great for farming.

@dobrodtdavid : The only optional bosses that appear in the DDS2 final dungeon are Jack Frost, Shiva, Vishnu, Seth and in Hard Mode, Satan. The Demi-Fiend does not appear in DDS2, only in DDS1 does he appear in the Citadel after you've reached the Top-Most Floor in the final dungeon.

True. Serph's stats are customizable, so he's easily a favorite. Cielo falls asleep more frequently because of his weakness, so he's typically used to survive Gaea Rage. I favored Gale over Argilla, though, because Magic Noises are really easy to get in comparison to other noises.

This guy is really hard, some time I can not sleep from the dormina and in the same time after the dormina cames gaes rage, I need to know if I have to up the quick on serph, because he haveeverything on 99 but quick is on 49, Hp999, mp 999, and if you have some tips for this guy.

Of course not. He just cut the video into 2 small segments. The first where he sets it up and then after he's pretty much drained all of the demon's mana and is getting ready to kill the Demi-fiend. This fight takes forever.

No. If you look at 3:30, the video skips to a later part. MasterLL also took one hour because he wasn't using the Red Star strategy.

Red Star's strategy takes longer than a regular strategy. Normally, you can use two chars to attack and Power Charge + Ragnarok deals a ton of punishment if you fight normally.
This video is basically a cut-up Red Star strat video which skips the whole mana draining phase, which would be several vids of the same shit.
MasterLL only took so long because he fought defensively, didn't max his Vt and HPs out so had to spend more press turns healing. It can be won normally in about 28-35 minutes.

You don't need 99 in all stats, especially not for Red Star Strategy. I beat him at L94/92/92, and it was a cinch.
Even when I tried the 'real' way, none of his demons could do much damage. All I had to worry about were fluke deaths like Gate of Hell and Gaea Rage. Life Surge solves the HP problems, easy.

Fighting him/them at the lowest solar noise probably would have made it somewhat easier, but other then that you do seem to need the Irish's luck to survive this devil.

I love this battle.
I tried doing the RSS 10 times and didn't get anywhere. Then, on my 11th time, I spammed Ragnarok whenever I could and faced the dreaded Gaea Rage about 4 or 5 times & managed to survive long enough to defeat the Demi-Fiend.
I'm almost tempted to start my 3rd run of DDS just to fight the Demi-Fiend again.

There are sites that award you fake money(points) that are redeemable for items on amazon which has both of the DDS games for around 30 bucks which is 3000 points each. It takes time to get the points and what not but if you're interested I can tell you more.

I think the boss battle from Nocturne would've fitted this battle against Hitoshura better. That and its higher on the scale of epic awesomeness so battleing against someone like hitoshura, it would've been better. Then again, to be honest, i'd be doing more jamming to the music than fighting so I'd probably just get owned like hell that way lol

My top 5 most badass main characters in RPG history would be Hitoshura, Cloud, Minato (Persona 3's main character), Alicia (Valkyrie Profile 2), Zack Fair (kinda pathetic how he went out though all considering who he's beaten before he got killed), Tatsuya (Persona 2 IS and EP's main character), and Raidou are tied at number 1. Wow It's kind of weird to watch someone fight the demi-fiend. I've been playing a lot of nocturne lately and I'm very used to being behind the demi-fiend not fighting against him lol. Just got the true demon ending last night working on maxing my compendium then I'll start playing DDS. I have both DDS 1 and 2 just waiting to be played.
Also I love Gaea Rage. Such an Awesome attack. Great for farming.
