  • Matthew Macfayden , and Keira Knightley will always be the perfect miss Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy to me

Although Colin Firth does do a fantastic job

  • what is the name of the dance?

  • Hey jclaire2604, which Mr. Darcy is your favorite? Colin Firth or Matthew MacFadyen?

  • @fridaythethirteenfan It's got to be Colin Firth for me, but I so watch both versions quite a lot.

  • AWESOME

  • 1995 version all the way, luv ya kiera knightly but its a&e hands down

  • this music makes me cry ...

  • W-O-N-D-E-R-F-U-L

  • I love the band and the Cello is soooo beautiful <3

  • nice video, great mixing and over dubbing; a pleasure to watch, thanks.

  • i'm looking for some more upbeat ball music

    can you help?

  • of maybe its just the bourre and not the Polonmais estep...

  • I Havee Loved Thiss Scene From Whenn I First Watchedd The Film :)

  • What's this piece of music called?

  • A Postcard to Henry Purcell by Dario Marianelli

  • a beautifull movie

  • I love this!!! I was a huge fan of jane austen ever since i was 7, so to me this video was an interesting relationship between the nondialective couple, andt between the movies aswell.

    Well Done!!! : D

  • great job blending them!

  • Esta es una bellísima pieza.

  • This is beautiful in many ways. Thank you!

  • i love it when it is only the two and everyone fades away it adds to to emotion!

  • the music is sooo beautiful<3

one of my fav parts out of the movie

  • Nevermind, I see it mentioned in the comments below. Wonderful transitions between the two films by the way.

  • Do you think you could tell me the music you used in this?

  • I think it's a from the film. Originally it's Purcell's Rondeau from Abdelazer

  • I love this dance and piece the best because not only does the music flow, but how all the participants in the dance are sort of 'flowing' as they step. When Darcy turns, it's almost hypnotic how he does it.

  • What song is this?

  • It's the soundtrack from the 2005 version.

    It's called

"Postcard to Henry Purcell" or something like that.

    The composer is Dario Marianelli.

    Genious.

this is the best piece of music throughout the whole film - gives me goosebumps everytime.

  • "A Postcard to Henry Purcell" and "Liz On Top of the World" make me cry. I have to agree that this piece (Postcard) is the best in the film, though. Loooove it.

  • really? weird - I was convinced they used this song for the 1995 version as well.

  • I love this story! It is my favorite Romance story of all time. I like the 2005 version the best, because the sexual tention between Lizzy and Darcy was so much better than the 1995 version. The dancing in the 2005 version was so elegant and graceful! The way they moved around each other was just haunting! Great video though, it's was nice seeing the comparison. God job!

  • Sexual tention? There was sexual tention?

  • You couldn't feel it?

Although there were no sexual scenes the pull between them was bascially tangible.

  • Not really. I guess I never looked at it like that.

  • @movieloverforlife I prefer the 1995 version, it's not all about sex. It's about love. Also the 1995 one is closer to the book, the 2005 version is a good film, but it's not Jane Austen and it is not Pride and Prejudice.

  • beatiful

  • love to see more comparisons like this

  • Great idea to mix two versions in the ball.

    Good job!

  • eee w książce jest lepszy żaden film tego nie odda nie możliwe to jest:)

  • is this ball a "Cotillion Ball"??

  • im ordering the solo book!! i cant wait!!

  • nice one i love it!

  • The music in the 2005 version is really beautiful. I can listen to the soundtrack for hours.

  • me three!!

  • do theay dance the same dance or is it only very similar? anyways, it was really beautiful!

  • you are a genious. what a beautiful compilation of both versions!! i wish i could give you 100 stars!!! thank you so much, i'll enjoy it everyday!

  • Oh My Goodness. This video is lovely. I wish I could be Mrs. Darcy! Great Work!!!

  • This song is gorgeous!

    and P&P is just perfect.

  • this is one of the henry purcell's music pieces. I cant remember the name of it though..

  • this is lovely!

    it is really good :)

    given me goosbumps

    x

  • That was really well done (^_^)Y

  • i love this song

  • Brilliant!!

  • Could you tell me what peice that is? I've been racking my brains trying to figure it out--it sounds familiar!

  • Its from the P&P 2005 Soundtrack, 'A Post Card to Henry Purcell'

  • Thanks. I was thinking of Handel for a bit---

  • @Romanticloser16 The music is from the soundtrack to the 2005 film, but the tune was written by Henry Purcell and was used in Benjamin Britten's Young Person's Guide To The Orchestra (subtitled 'Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell').

  • @Romanticloser16

Abdelazer (the Rondeau) by Henry Purcell himself. Listen to the original, it s worth it!

  • @Romanticloser16 This is the rondeau from the 1676 play called "Abdelazar", or "The Moor's Revenge".

  • @plugee thank you so much!

  • They blend so well together. What a fantastic job you have done!

  • gorgeous, thank you.

  • This was very well made.

  • jane austen's pride and prejudice is highly addictive, read the book 4 times, and seen all the P&P movies. Love the BBC version the best-darcy and elizabeth are timeless-Pride and prejudice are not only the two character flaws that temporarily keep Elizabeth and Darcy apart-they are faults that run rampant through the society in which they live.

  • soundrack is perfect

  • Very nice video. I love both versions for different reasons. They work together nicely with thesong. Love this soundtrack.

  • You made the transitions work out so well. I adore this video.

  • That was amazing. Very well done.

  • i think it's lovely. ~
