The music is from the soundtrack to the 2005 film, but the tune was written by Henry Purcell and was used in Benjamin Britten's Young Person's Guide To The Orchestra (subtitled 'Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell').
I love this!!! I was a huge fan of jane austen ever since i was 7, so to me this video was an interesting relationship between the nondialective couple, andt between the movies aswell.
I love this dance and piece the best because not only does the music flow, but how all the participants in the dance are sort of 'flowing' as they step. When Darcy turns, it's almost hypnotic how he does it.
"A Postcard to Henry Purcell" and "Liz On Top of the World" make me cry. I have to agree that this piece (Postcard) is the best in the film, though. Loooove it.
I love this story! It is my favorite Romance story of all time. I like the 2005 version the best, because the sexual tention between Lizzy and Darcy was so much better than the 1995 version. The dancing in the 2005 version was so elegant and graceful! The way they moved around each other was just haunting! Great video though, it's was nice seeing the comparison. God job!
@movieloverforlife I prefer the 1995 version, it's not all about sex. It's about love. Also the 1995 one is closer to the book, the 2005 version is a good film, but it's not Jane Austen and it is not Pride and Prejudice.

jane austen's pride and prejudice is highly addictive, read the book 4 times, and seen all the P&P movies. Love the BBC version the best-darcy and elizabeth are timeless-Pride and prejudice are not only the two character flaws that temporarily keep Elizabeth and Darcy apart-they are faults that run rampant through the society in which they live.
Matthew Macfayden , and Keira Knightley will always be the perfect miss Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy to me
Although Colin Firth does do a fantastic job

I think it's a from the film. Originally it's Purcell's Rondeau from Abdelazer

What song is this?
Arasha14 3 years ago
It's the soundtrack from the 2005 version.
It's called
"Postcard to Henry Purcell" or something like that.
The composer is Dario Marianelli.
Genious.
this is the best piece of music throughout the whole film - gives me goosebumps everytime.

Sexual tention? There was sexual tention?
missachan08 3 years ago
You couldn't feel it?
Although there were no sexual scenes the pull between them was bascially tangible.

Abdelazer (the Rondeau) by Henry Purcell himself. Listen to the original, it s worth it!
