  • this song makes the episode for me...and i am so pissed to not hear it on the dvd version...the song is the best part!!!

  • I like the version on the DVD - Ride by Cary Borthers

  • i love this so much. the song is PERFECT. i was disappointed SO much to find this was not on the s5 dvd. this scene(s) was not the same AT ALL without this song...so perfect. *sigh*

  • I love how the music stops and she realizes... It was a comet!!! so dramatic!!!

  • this song is actually by INXS not joy division so its INXS never tear us apart for all of u wonderin

  • LOL i luv it wen lucas has 2 tell her (lindsey) about how she was rite n tht he still luved peyton .... man the look on her face :)! sounds rude but i just LOVE lucas & peyton 2gether <3

  • This song is perfect for this scene. It has been cut perfectly to match the lyrics and instrumental sections and the flashback with Lucas, Peyton and the Comet works brilliantly. 'I was standing, you were there, two worlds collided and they could never, ever tear us apart.' Lucas and Peyton = TLA. One of the best song placements of the series (on par with Times Like These for the graduation) x

  • this is also in Donnie Darko (L)

  • Nanny Carrie..is..so...fuckin..hooot

  • peyton & lucas belonged together anyway <33

  • I like this version better then the one on my DVD! >: l

  • INXS <3 im australian, and so happy that they played one of the greatest bands australia's ever produced. we rarely have aussie artists on OTH!

  • it's not the same without never tear us apart. the moment just doesn't feel the same.

you'd think as an australian band it would be allowed to be published in australia!! thank you for uploading this version!!

  • lol i just watched this episode (:

  • If memory serves, this is the song that played when the episode originally aired; I remember buying it on Itunes before the episode finished. They had to change it for the DVD and syndication because of copyright issues or some such B.S.

  • i have the dvd set, and im watching this exact episode right now... and this song does not play in this scene, im very confused... anyone who knows what im talking about please tell me the name of the song that actually plays in the scene!!!

  • The version i have is Ride by the Carey brothers

  • @OTH23UK Same here... what the heck?

  • @chiaraisfun the original song played in the scene is Never Tear Us Apart by Joy Division. They changed it on the dvd for some reason, probably couldn't afford to use it.

  • @lordskittlesthefirst it is not from joy division...its from INXS

  • @chiaraisfun hi! they play another song in the dvd-version and also in the others country because the legal right of using this song. It was only okey to use it in America so on the dvd and when airing in other countries they use another song. now you know!

  • such a nice dress!

  • at least lindsay was smart enough to combine and was able to let lucas go.

  • yes yes yes yayyy leyton!! <3 wooh

  • omg! lindsay got mad over some book for crying out loud! lol ! but im glad lucas didnt get with her! XD!!

  • what? hello! she didnt mad over a book!.. She got mad at what he said in the book about the comet and therefore she finally realized that he would never stop being in love with peyton so she couldnt be with him cos of that

  • If I hadn't watched this show before, I wouldn't know whether this was about Lucas and Peyton or Lucas and Lindsey. I probably would've figured it was Lucas and Peyton, but after the first minute and a half of the scene. The song perfectly describes Lucas and Peyton, but not in this scene.

  • is this the orginal song cause im really con fused case i heard the carey brother one and it was hell of a lot better

  • this song is good but it felt like it was building up the scene a little. i think the one on the dvd has more emotion and exitment in it. i was like wow this one works better.

  • i like the cary brothres version better

  • wow that was emotional, the boy saw the comet ....gave his life meaning. its 2 obvious

  • I preferred "ride by the cary brothers" lol but still a great scene!

  • Can I just say, as a big fan- that song absolutely made that moment for me. I was so annoyed they didn't have it on the DVD. The Cary Brothers song didn't cut it!!

    It was a comet.....

  • I KNOW!! Same here, that song made that moment for me as well! I was also VERY upset that they changed it in the Season 5 dvd! >(

  • Nanny Carrie sux.

  • @FredDwashere

but she is a nice ^^

  • i swear this isn't on the episode :/

  • nA It Ant

  • it was, just not on the re-runs and the dvd because they couldn't get it syndicated.

  • why is everyone saying this wasnt in the episode i swear this song was?!

  • they just had this episode on SoapNet and they used the other song! This song was perfect for this scene!

  • I cant beleve they changed this song in the episode. I had to come find it on you tube. this song makes the scene. when the horn kicks in when you see "Comet" on the car.

  • ohhhhhhhh!!!! I love this scene...I'd have this in the top 3!!!

  • Oh god, I hate Nanny Carrie!

  • omg this is THE best music moment EVER

the song is just perfect, it'd totally be my #2 music moment

  • I hated Lindsay anyway, and Nanny Carrie too

  • fuck u nanny carrie

  • really? number 20???? I'd definately have this in the top 5!

  • The band INXS was having some problems, so they couldn't let this episode air with this song outside the U.S.

Though, somehow I find Ride by the Cary Brothers better fitting for this.

  • Thanks to you, I finally have that hautingly amazing tune's title.

  • yea the song they changed it to, for some odd reason, is called ride....that same song comes up in the begining of another episode after 100.....both songs are good but this one works better

  • yeah on the dvd its some other, stupid, slow song. i was so surprised that they changed it, cause "never tear us apart" was perfect. now the scene isnt that good. i have to wonder why they would have changed it. its funny how much a song can change a scene.

  • omg i was sooo fuckin mad when i didn't hear this song.... and it could change a scene.. sooo much!!! this isnt i favorite scene anymore because of the DVD!!!. im soo mad!!

  • omg! i love this one. but after it aired, i downloaded the song on my boyfriend's xbox, and i swear to god--there was a different song on this same scene. i freaked out! this scene just doesn't work without this song! i hope it won't be like that on the dvd. or maybe i was just being crazy. lol
