@klaatu42 I sure agree. Unlike some fans, I've always liked Endangered Species. Do I think it's as good as Hope? No, but that doesn't mean I don't like it. An album need not reach the exemplary heights of Hope for me to enjoy it. :-)
This was Klaatu's only poor album. Not much good on it, including this song. The song Sell Out on this album is almost autobiographical from the band's point of view. This album was a contractually obligated mess. They made up for it with their last album Magentalane.
hmmm, I always played this album as much as the others, only one that was more was the first one... I got to see them live too, and they played a number from this, uncluding this one... and Hot Box City twice.
On their later albums, the final versions aren't as good as the earlier versions found on Sunset. Listen to the Sunset versions of this and "Everybody Took a Holiday" and you might see my point.
For a contractual obligation, I think it sounds pretty good. :)
