  • killing joke and the damned should be proud that nirvana used "their" riff in such a great song. (it's not exactly the same riff by the way..).

also i think nirvana is allowed to "copy" when i think about how many people copied him after he died.

  • well , ladee da, musicians steal frum each other. What's your day job?

  • The BEST live song ever played on the Tube period.....what a classic a band in their prime...the song has the meanest rockabilly riff........its nasty song

  • Isn't this the first time they played this song live?

  • come as....... i mean EIGHTIES!

  • trve norwegian black merol (?)

  • Get performance thanks for upload

  • I recorded this on video from the same show live on The Tube, about 1984 I think from memory.

The tape is somewhere in the attic, but I doubt its as good quality as this copy is, thanks for posting it and bringing back many very happy memories :o))

I wonder what ever happened to Jazz Coleman ?

  • @TimNorthants Jaz & Killing Joke still going strong mate with reformed original line-up - still playing festivals and headlining major sell-out gigs and still amazing

  • This video was my last year of high school personified!

  • what year is this

  • geordie is the most laid back guitarist ever. rip raven

  • bastard is ahead of his times.

  • yeah that why this song came out in the 80's and nirvanas come as you are came out in the 90's right?

  • @IHATEKandG Come as you are is a way better song and is barley similar to this song. Wow the opening riff is mildly similar big deal, the rest of the song is completely different and much better my I add.

  • haha you've totally embarrassed yourself there haven't you!

    you fail!

  • @theekoolaidman Nirvana didn't exist in 1985, retard

  • Nirvana enjoyed this riff sooo much..

  • Shit hot and guess where Kurt nicked the 'Come as You Are' riff from...

  • who fucking cares, man. who cares if bands steal riffs or chords off of others. its fucking music. listen to what u want. thats that.

  • Well it matters when people talk about Cobain being a genius when they're ignorant of the real originals he ripped off like Killing Joke and the Pixies who by and large never got their dues either critically and commercially. They care 'cos Frank Black broke up the Pixies on Nirvana's success saying 'they've stolen our sound and made it - they'll think we're ripping them off now' and Killing Joke were suing Nirvana 'til Kurt popped his clogs so when you say 'who cares?' - they obviously did!

  • So basically - who fucking cares? - the bands who are being ripped off do!!!

  • @nik418

  • @nik418 exactly

  • @nik418 its completely different, learnt to play the two riffs and youl notice the difference

  • @LewisBryanJamieson I can play both mate - one is obviously an inferior derivative of the other and if you can't hear that then you're bleedin tone deaf. Kurt didn't even want 'Come as You Are' releasing as a single 'cos he knew what a KJ rip-off it was and was scared of getting sued and hey, guess what...
