I'll try, there are 3 ranks of strings, 2 eight foot and 1 four foot. The four sounds an octave higher than either eight foot. The two key boards. Each 8 foot is plucked at a slightly different place on the string, so they sound different and may also be different types of strings. The two key boards can be couple for different sound effects.
I've seen second-hand harpsichords on the internet, the avarage price is around €3000 (I dont know how much that is in dollars, but I'm sure you can look that up...) For those harpsichords, I don't know the quality.
You won't get a nice double manual harpsichord that cheap. but harpsichords are so varied in construction, in sound quality and in level of decoration, that I doubt there is a very meaningful average price.
Good old Google will find you any number of harpsichord makers. They're often one man outfits. There's a wonderful variety available and it makes me feel good just to browse through these sites. I have an Andrew Garlick one but I don't play well enough to want to be on YouTube yet!
Can somebody please recommend a really good harpsichord method book or something to improve at playing in the style of 17th/18th harpsichord players. Thanks.
For someone not very advanced, Maria Boxall's "Harpsichord Method" is a good guide. You might also like to look at Couperin's "L'Art de Toucher le Clavecin". It's available in English.
Nice. The trickiest thing about this piece is to make it sound like a highly syncopated 3/2 dance, not a 6/4... Certainly the most interesting piece of the set.
I've played this on the piano, but I enjoy listening to harpsichord recordings, since they tend to bring out a certain quality about the music that the piano cannot reproduce. Thanks for sharing.
estremamente piacevole e direi pieno di poesia.

How much does the average harpsichord cost? Well, one of this quality anyway.

The harpsichord is my most favorite instrument ever! The sound is so alluring when played by a masterful musician as this. Rock on!

does anybody know this instrument's name in portuguese?

Will you be letting us hear the Aria next?
I have recently studied this Partita on the piano and am enjoying your contribution. Looking forward to hear some more.

Your playing is very expressive. The instrument appears to be of Franco-Flemish origen, possibly by Pascal Taskin (ca 1779).

No. It's a Mietke (german) copy
Thanks for watching

It really is a shame that the harpsichord isn't as popular as it was so long ago.
