This game is very bias with the scoring when you are fighting against the legend boxers. Especially Ali. you basically have to knock him out when playing against someone online or they give decision to him. They need improvement with scoring on this game very bad. From eye site you can be scoring way more points and the judges will still say you lost the round. Game is cool but certain styles have way better advantages then others and its so obvious. Hopefully EA Sports fix this issue next time.

HELP Please! I just started Legacy Mode with a created fighter and noticed that once the career is started I can't changed his information, appearance and style. I'd like to know if my fighter will be stuck with the same hair, facial hair, body type etc..and same style for the whole game? If so..this reaaally sucks!

I still see alot of people complaining about the controls and that the early fight nights are better, i thing round 4 is the best boxing game to date love the controls love the movement of the boxers the way they look, very good, 5 star rating alright. Would love to see jack dempsey, joe louis, rubin carter and rocky marciano in round 5.
@jesusperezamorano those settings are only for FIGHT NOW. Legacy Mode is a different animal - the most rounds you can fight in legacy is 12 during champ fights, to make it aligned with the real boxing commission rules. Just go with it dude, it's a fun process to get to GREATEST OF ALL TIME :)

u just have to get used to the dual sticks its not hard at all to throw what punch u want....jus practice.. definately better than round 3...styles make fights reach matters. movement counters really make u think about when to throw. the games not perfect but its the best so far. learn to play n ull enjoy it
fnr4 is not a sim. its garbage. no real sweet science at all, especially online. it should matter when youve been beaten or beat your opponent to the punch but in fnr4 it doesn't. they need to do alot better come round 5 with no bs patches. make it right the 1st time. round 3 is still the best we got, not perfect but better than round 4

R3 didn't even have any boxing styles. The boxers had an invisible wall between them and there was no in or even out boxing to mention because every body had the same distance between them, and it moved unrealistically slow.
@proboxershotgunner well in round three it seemed like there was more customization options available...like there was a wider variety of punching styles...in round 4 its just fast power or normal...if i remember right...and they dont have a whole lotta options when it comes to the boxer's attire in round 4 either...i have both games and i was looking at them and wondered what was different...round 4 has better game play...round 3 had more customizing

@proboxershotgunner i know...in fact i just finished playing online right now...the guy only threw body punches...none to the head...so i just blocked them all and when i felt my block was going down backed up to let it recharge then just blocked the rest...the only punches i threw were counter punches...now get this...i push off him...throw 2-3 jabs...and im winded...and he stil goin strong...so it seems long as you throw body hooks you're almost guaranteed a win
@proboxershotgunner another thing i noticed was if you are in the corner you cant push off them while they're just nailing you non stop with hooks...like it shows u shove em and their so close it looks like hugging...person doesnt budge an inch...also i loved how i got stuned with a counter jab of the 1st punch in the 2nd round...that made my day
@PhoenixEdwards Try using someone tall with good reach. Just double up on the jab, run away, double up on the jab, run away. I used this tactic online when someone was just hammering me to the body to drain my stamina. Eventually he got soo annoyed that he was just getting outpointed and that he couldn't hit me so he quit the match. That is the good thing about this game... there is always a tactic you can use to defend against someone elses style.

I agree. the update has ruined online play for me. I'm just a casual gamer and I'm not that good, so was fighting people around my own level. now you cant see their stats or HUD, and I'm constantly getting my ass kicked by people who have too much time on their hands to play all day... which really does start to lose the fun factor incredibly fast. online mode has completely lost its appeal for me now.

this is the first fight night i've played and i find it extremely fun. that being said i think they could have done a lot more with the figher selection. i was really disapointed that i couldn't find marcian, joe louis, floyd mayweather jr and oscar de la hoya in this game, its cool how they got gatti and lamotta but im really disapointed they left out the brockton blockbuster and the brown bomber

The game emphasizes one move and one move only...the vaunted 'counter punch'. Master this move and you can beat anyone, anytime, anywhere. It's nonsense.
Never mind that you've hit your opponent for 75 solid shots. He hits you with one counter punch and you're stunned.
lol You obviously don't want a boxing sim, you want an arcade game. Now that all it takes is one CLEAN counter punch to put you in KO moment, that meens you have to stay away, pick your shots. Be more careful with what you do, it's almost like a game of chess, just like real boxing. Fights will now last longer, fights will be more realistic. If you just want to walk in and throw bombs and expect to win then go buy facebreaker or something. Because you obviously have no respect for real boxing.
qtip215 i've noticed that in this game the judges are very good if you dominate they will give you the fight so it's just your opinion which is not the correct one i've fought people and hit them with numerous punches and because they have countered me more times they think they have dominated which ain't right your getting hit more then you think thats why you don't get the decision

I traded in my UFC along with a couple other games and bought Fight Night. I'm more of a boxing fan. There were a few things I didn't like about UFC. For starters, everything took 1 minute to load. That got old quick. Fight Night is better in my opinion.

I change the assaults on the options that comes at the beginning of the game and put 12, but when I walk into legacy mode still fighting 10 rounds: S

@proboxershotgunner well in round three it seemed like there was more customization options available...like there was a wider variety of punching styles...in round 4 its just fast power or normal...if i remember right...and they dont have a whole lotta options when it comes to the boxer's attire in round 4 either...i have both games and i was looking at them and wondered what was different...round 4 has better game play...round 3 had more customizing

@proboxershotgunner i dunno...its just something i noticed when it first came out...online play sux sometimes...i tested this....i made a guy...put his maxed out his stamina and fought against some1...and what happened was they threw punches the whole round and never got tired n i was winded after 3 punches

They probably just think the gameplay is broken. In fact thats probably why they think the gameplay is broken. EA needs to fix this.

@proboxershotgunner i know...in fact i just finished playing online right now...the guy only threw body punches...none to the head...so i just blocked them all and when i felt my block was going down backed up to let it recharge then just blocked the rest...the only punches i threw were counter punches...now get this...i push off him...throw 2-3 jabs...and im winded...and he stil goin strong...so it seems long as you throw body hooks you're almost guaranteed a win

@proboxershotgunner another thing i noticed was if you are in the corner you cant push off them while they're just nailing you non stop with hooks...like it shows u shove em and their so close it looks like hugging...person doesnt budge an inch...also i loved how i got stuned with a counter jab of the 1st punch in the 2nd round...that made my day

@PhoenixEdwards Try using someone tall with good reach. Just double up on the jab, run away, double up on the jab, run away. I used this tactic online when someone was just hammering me to the body to drain my stamina. Eventually he got soo annoyed that he was just getting outpointed and that he couldn't hit me so he quit the match. That is the good thing about this game... there is always a tactic you can use to defend against someone elses style.

4 is better. Much better movement then 3, but to use buttons for punching, you have to get a buttons download off the net.

This game is the worst game I have eveer played, it gets so boring theres only 2 different things you can do 1 vs 1 match of your choosing and a league that gets boring after you reach champion and the training mode is crap too you cant ever get as good as the other people.. poor game 3/10 :l

I agree. the update has ruined online play for me. I'm just a casual gamer and I'm not that good, so was fighting people around my own level. now you cant see their stats or HUD, and I'm constantly getting my ass kicked by people who have too much time on their hands to play all day... which really does start to lose the fun factor incredibly fast. online mode has completely lost its appeal for me now.

this is the first fight night i've played and i find it extremely fun. that being said i think they could have done a lot more with the figher selection. i was really disapointed that i couldn't find marcian, joe louis, floyd mayweather jr and oscar de la hoya in this game, its cool how they got gatti and lamotta but im really disapointed they left out the brockton blockbuster and the brown bomber

It's nice to see how this game has progressed from that point till release. It turned out to be the best boxing game on the market. The only thing that annoys me is the boxer selection. Although I'm very happy to play as Joe Calzaghe for once.

This game blows. Big disappointment since I've played and loved the franchise since it's inception.
The game emphasizes one move and one move only...the vaunted 'counter punch'. Master this move and you can beat anyone, anytime, anywhere. It's nonsense.
Never mind that you've hit your opponent for 75 solid shots. He hits you with one counter punch and you're stunned.

lol You obviously don't want a boxing sim, you want an arcade game. Now that all it takes is one CLEAN counter punch to put you in KO moment, that meens you have to stay away, pick your shots. Be more careful with what you do, it's almost like a game of chess, just like real boxing. Fights will now last longer, fights will be more realistic. If you just want to walk in and throw bombs and expect to win then go buy facebreaker or something. Because you obviously have no respect for real boxing.

qtip215 i've noticed that in this game the judges are very good if you dominate they will give you the fight so it's just your opinion which is not the correct one i've fought people and hit them with numerous punches and because they have countered me more times they think they have dominated which ain't right your getting hit more then you think thats why you don't get the decision

I traded in my UFC along with a couple other games and bought Fight Night. I'm more of a boxing fan. There were a few things I didn't like about UFC. For starters, everything took 1 minute to load. That got old quick. Fight Night is better in my opinion.
