Im not saying this is definate but John Mayer may pull funny faces because he has grown up idolising an artist called Stevie Ray Vaughn an he pulls a lot of similar faces. Mayer probably pulls those faces because god speaks sings through him.

Though this is probably not relevant as to the quality of the music and how they collaborated... But John Mayer's mouth is weird when he sings...... Or it could just be me. But anyway, I'm not a huge fan of either of the two but I do like Pete Murray quite abit. Mostly his slow songs like this one and So Beautiful. He has a really soothing voice abit like Jack Johnson. Great collaboration anyway. But I could have done without John Mayer really.... Sorry

I don't think Murray has to pass a torch, cuz' it's pretty obvious Mayer already got the torch from Clapton.. I personally like Mayer better than Murray, but they, that's my opinion! Great collaboration indeed!

Well, I think they were both around at pretty much the same time, or JM may have been a little earlier. But Mayer's won two Grammy's? Or three? He's american, Murray is Australian... It's much harder for Mayer to become as huge as he is... but musically he's a genius. As for passing the torch, They're both pretty much the same age, and have made it in their own right.

Agree with you bmstyers. JM has always liked to collaborate with other artists and support new-comers to the music industry. His love of music seems to be what drives him, and it's really refreshing to see when so many other artists wouldn't be willing to do what he does... in other words, step into the background.

AND - to top it off, Mayer is gorgeous. :) My kind of man, without a doubt.

Awesome!!! John complements Pete well with the electric guitar. I've seen that a lot w/ him lately. A lot of artists aren't willing to step in the background for other artists. Says a lot about John and his love for music. He's introduced me to a lot of artists that I probably would've never heard of had he not played w/ them. That's what true artists do... bring good music to ppl however they can.
