who fights for survival when the abortionist tries to catch it. Take a look at the video the silent scream.
"If you believe that your god is in charge of everything (which you guys do) then miscarriage is a conscious act"
Babies who die before being able to do anything are in limbo, their soul isn't dead and God isn't the one who causes miscarriages, it is our bodies. To think that god kills people for pleasure is Calvinism which is incompatible with Christianity.
Um, actually, no, Joeb. Calvinism is a *type* of Christianity, and is indeed the more ancient type, if one is to make generalizations. In truth, the belief system is called "predestinationism", which is actually far more prevalent within the Christian religion than is it's antitype, Arminianism. Calvin actually advocated a rather mild form of presdestination, not near as far reaching as Augustine, who basically set the ground for all of Western Christianity's theology.
Uh, no, Calvinism is completely against western Christianity, aka Catholicism, Calvinism suggests that God is evil, a double predestination, one that says that God created some people to send them to hell. When in fact he created them to share his love with them. God is love, and without freewill there is no love, since Calvinism suggest a God that doesn't give freewill, Calvinism is incompatible with Christianity.
You have every right to believe that, Joeb. It is simply wrong. It is a completely incorrect understanding of Christian history, or of the doctrine of predestination, either under Calvin or Augustine. There are some good church history courses available that might help in this, as well as courses in systematic theology.
@abdulmuhib all the Calvinists I've met believe in double predestination, which is that God, before time decided who will go to hell and who will go to heaven. Zach (zkueker88) is an example of what Calvinists believe. Maybe you should see how the debate between zkueker88 and Theologica37 went.
You should study more theology, then, do get a better understanding of what Calvinists believed. Though, again, Calvinism is just one small group of the Christians who advocate predestination.
We've gone into Iraq (and now Afghanistan) and murdered thousands of people - Most of them being innocent. Why don't you anti-abortionist have a problem with that??? You're supposed to be 'Pro-Life'.
NATO troops were in Afghanistan first. The US never left Afghanistan, the media just seemed to ignore it.
Anyway, I'm pro life and it's extremely difficult for NATO troops to know who is a terrorist and who's not. It's like in Vietnam, women and children could actually be terrorists.
War is horrible but the worst war is in peoples' homes now, couples murdering their own children through either apathy or ignorance to be able to live without responsibility.
Wake up, pro abortion people support child sacrifice just like the Aztecs. Except the difference here is pro abortion people worship consumerism.
You're calling abortion (which is a medical procedure that removes an embryo) worst than the wars going on overseas? This is the problem with religious fanatics... they don't think... they have a 'God' up in the clouds that does all that for them. (and I have a tooth-fairy that collects my teeth every time I lose one). What about women who miscarry. Do you get mad at God for inducing a natural abortion? What about over-population? (12.5 billion with a new million added every 4 days) Use reason!
Miscarriage is not an abortion because it is not a conscious act. a Chemical abortion that induces a miscarriage IS an abortion though. You call all Christians who actually walk the walk fanatics, how about you think okay? take a look at a ultrasound video of an abortion and see that they're human.
Bshuch: why do you think pro-life people don't have a problem with that? Certainly, I agree that there are far too many who don't. But yours was simply a blanket and stereotypical statement.
There's a reason a stereotype becomes a stereotype. Most (not all... but most) people who are some against choice are that way because they have some religion behind it. If you're so against this, my advise would be to go to half-way houses and orphanages and see what becomes of unwanted children.... and then maybe you could help take care of them... maybe even adopt them. THEN, you can lecture me on why we should put more unwanted children in the world.
You say you follow no religion. Why do you believe that one must have a god to have a religion? And who told you I think there is a man up there, or that he is in the sky?
How do assumptions help you understand your reality?
Bshuch, you seem to be confused as to who is lecturing whom.
As a liberal, I am going to fight against stereotypes of all sorts, and just because some black people do something, I am going to refuse to say all black people do it- and that applies to all groups. I find it unconscionable to stereotype others and objectify them into categories so that we can control them. I understand you conservatives might disagree. I still find it immoral and wrong.
I'm sure you have talked to people who are foster parents and still hardened your heart towards unborn children. The "don't talk to me until you adopt" defense is one that shows that you would refuse the right to life to unborn children based on emotions alone.
No Joe, I don't get emotional about a medical procedure removing and embryo. (even though I'm sure the woman does) I do get emotional over unwanted children or abused children from parents that shouldn't be parents. Children that are born into poverty as well... I do get emotional or I should say angry with men who think they can tell a woman what to do with her body... especially men who are only against abortion because they are drunk on religion and other fairy-tales. Try Reason
you're going on emotions again, it's not about religion, it's the fact that we went all this way in technology and for what? For the "right" to murder our own children? that is anti evolutionary, and it's barbaric.
The fact is, babies can feel at 8 weeks. Can you imagine the pain they go through? Take a look at the ultrasound video "the silent scream" if you want to find out.
and that is why most abortions are done in the first trimester. Do you remember being in the womb? I don't. It boils down to this: Abortion is here to stay... Roe vs Wade will never be overturned because they know better than to piss off 57% of the population that is for it. So I would suggest that you push for better sex education in this country so there can be less abortions... and I hope to see you Joe at some anti-war demonstrations. Children in war scream a lot more in death than an embryo
If there was peace in our own homes then there would be peace in a grand scale. It starts with every one of us, think about this. Every day, a city the size of Barrie is killed through out the world with abortion because of fear in individual families. If people would be educated in their own families about the fact that we're different than animals and we can choose to abstain. I do go to high schools and talk about abstinence and the results of the lack of it. Abortion is from fear is unneeded
and how has that abstinence pushing been working out for ya? 80% of kids that take abstinence pledges fail. Sex is a natural impulse.. and telling people to abstain from it will never work (it never has). You can include it in sex education as a way to prevent pregnancy and STDs, but you have to give kids the entire picture. What you are doing is not educating, it's preaching. Try putting the bible down for a minute and read a human anatomy book. We evolved from animals Joe. There's proof of it
You might not be intelligent to understand that life is more than about sex. Sex is a tool to create, not destroy, put down your panphlet from "planned parenthood" and read a human anatomy book. We've more intelligent than animals BSchuch3 there's proof for it. Look at all the technology we have, was that all because of a natural sexual impulse? NO! it's because people looked beyond people's bodies. We're more intelligent than animals and we don't need sex all the time, and sex is made to create
Wow Joe, We've graduated to insults now... I must have touched a nerve. I find it hilarious that someone who stubbornly clings to an 2000 year old book of myths and fairy-tales (written by people who thought the earth was flat) would fancy himself intelligent. You're just part of a high profile cult. It's also a very typical response from religious fanatics that we are more intelligent than animals. Animals can survive out in the harshness of nature... can you?? What an arrogant statement!
Well do us all a favor Joe and contribute LESS to society. Filling people with illusions, fairy-tales and brain-washing isn't helping society either. Religion is poison... The time has come for reason over religion. Have you seen the recent stats? Religion is slowly dying out... The Cult is finally losing it's power... People no longer believe in myths and old fairy-tales. We live in a very exciting time to be able to witness this. You must be very frustrated to see all this unfolding around you
It's logical to think that there is a designer to this vast universe, where everything perfectly goes together, it's irrational on the other hand to think like atheists who ignore the Universe beyond their nose. Atheists' goals are simple and it is in this video: watch?v =BIS6Az6vFP4
whatever it was that created the universe, it's not some guy sitting up in the clouds with a big beard, who's a single parent and writes books.... and it's not something that cares if a girl gets an abortion or whatever consenting adult I choose to have sex with...
Let me guess.... I bet you're against gay people too...
Have you ever heard of the National Association for research and therapy of homosexuality? It is a group made by former homosexuals who have healed and want healing from it.
Homosexuality is ALWAYS a result of a traumatic event during childhood. It might be that the father was never there, or that the family was divorced, or bullying, or malnutrition, or not enough social communication. It has to do with all of that. No one is born homosexual, it's developed. Take a look at their evidence.
Ha!!!!! I KNEW you were gonna give me some answer like that!!!! You're so predictable Joe! Your religious (occult) brain-washing now gives you the right to 'expert' a subject you obviously know nothing about. Yes I've heard of NARTH; It too, is run by brain-washing religious fanatics who make money off self-loathing souls who can't accept themselves. NARTH has also been denounced as complete bullshit by every psychological association in the country. Again, put that bible down and read a book.
You talk about "reason" how about looking at Newton's first law and applying it to the start of the universe?
It's irrational to live in your lie that everything is for nothing and came from nothing all to be dumped into a void in the end. Atheist beliefs are depressing and causes depression and suicide.
Let me guess, if I eat meat I shouldn't be talking against people who decapitate human babies without giving them anesthesia right? I've heard that rhetoric before, and it's beyond weak.
I'm actually planning to start on the Gerson therapy to clean my body. My diet right now is about 20% meat which is locally raised. I know what big companies like McDonald's do to cows, but to compare that to decapitating or burning an innocent human being alive swimming around his or her mother's womb is crazy
I've seen cattle and pigs scream in pain as their guts have been cut open.... I grew up on a farm - It's horrible and traumatic. But you can sit there and tell me an human embryo goes through worse during the termination of a pregnancy?? In the words of Ghandi-If you find life precious, you should find all life precious - But I'm sure you feel your god gave us the animals to exploit, abuse and do whatever we want with them. It never fails to amaze me the arrogance and hypocrisy of the faithful.
All life is equally precious according to you right? So then according to you, we shouldn't eat nuts, fruits or vegetables either because it's alive. Get real, I've been at a farm, I know what happens. Eating meat is a part of life.
It's even more hypocritical of you to say that you're vegetarian and say dismemberment of a living baby in a womb is justifiable because of a parent's or grandparent's emotions towards the situation.
actually Joe, I'm not a vegetarian (even though they tend to be the healthiest and live longer) and now that I have a boyfriend, I eat a LOT of meat (heh heh) and it was Ghandi that said all life is precious. (of coarse he was a different religion so I'm sure you feel he doesn't count) I just baited you to display how religious fanatics operate by double standards, denouncing what they feel is one injustice while a host of real crimes go on around them without them saying a damn word. Praise God
you atheists call anyone who lives by a certain way "fanatics".
I'm Catholic, and if someone says they're catholic but picks and chooses from the Bible and the Catechism then they're heretics.
Atheists call anyone who concentrates their time on one thing a fanatic. Well let me tell you something without the Catholic Church, you wouldn't have an education system. It's the Catholic Church that started Schools and hospitals, not atheists. It was the Church who defended the weak, not atheists.
The Catholic Church my dear sir is responsible for the rape and torture of millions of kids worldwide, the oppression of women, the crusades, the burning of 'witches', murder, persecution of gay people, Their silence while Hitler slaughtered 6 million Jews, lying to people about birth control, telling people NOT to use condoms, covering up the torture and rape of children, conning poor people out of money to swell the wealth of the Vatican, Shall I continue? Is this the education you speak of?
You would have sat by while Muslims would kill everyone you know because of being "infadels" and let them take over Europe with their religion by the sword? The Crusades are justifiable, but the innocent killings aren't.
You know nothing about the beliefs of Catholics. What other religion has founded colleges and universities, for ALL people, no matter the religion, what other religion uses the scientific method to provide evidence for beliefs?
If you would take the time to read up about the Catholic Church, The good outweighs the bad in innumerable ways. And the "wealth of the Vatican" is bogus, last year it was over 16 million dollars in debt because of humanitarian efforts. Priests take a vow of poverty, meaning that they don't make much money at all.
Yes there are heretics in the Church, there are heretics in every religion, even atheism. But to generalise an entire people because of a few, is ridiculous.
The foundation for your educational system is based on the Catholic Church, the foundation of your hospitals is Catholic, even the Robert rules of order that is used in every organization.
In this year for priests we are all called to pray for priests and religious so that they can better serve the people. It's better to encourage priests to live by their vocation than to generalize all people who are called to serve the lord in a ministr
St. Paul talks about the vocation to the priesthood in both of his letters to Timothy, it's a good read. I hope you will read it and understand the importance of praying for priests.
(continued from last post) but your generation was brainwashed on this crap (like the generation before was done.... even worse) Things will get better as the older generations (who are the most religious) die out. We just have to be patient. Good luck 2 U Joe (& good luck trying to stop people from screwing) If your religion makes you happy, fine. But it's wrong for you to expect others to believe it just because you do. If you need to have the last word here, knock yourself out.. but I'm done
you want proof right? take a look at the playlists I have about the SCIENTIFIC evidence for Catholic Miracles. It's called "how great is our god" and "Eucharistic Apologetics"
@BSchuh3, dude. I checked ur channel>My wife & I are younger than u, 2 different faiths & both pro-life. Pro-life people aren't aborting their kids & isn't a snowball's chance in hell that they'll let someone like you get to their kids & convince 'em abortion isn't murder. Pro-lifers have higher birthrate. New Americans from Latin America & the Middle East, who r comprising a growing % of our population, have belief systems that say abortion=murder. Looks like WE "...just have to be patient."
Ya know Joe, This has been fun this past week going back and forth with you but now I've gotten bored with it. There's no point in arguing with someone who believes in myths and fairy-tale... I'd accomplish more if I just went and banged my head against the wall. I detest that fact that I have to share this planet with so many people that are just plain ignorant, superstitious and believe in the boogyman. I wouldn't care so much if they kept out of other people's lives and government (continued)
Religion has everything to do with it. Most people who are pro-life fanatics tend to be religious ones as well. If what you want is a country run by religion, then move to Iran.
Bschuh, there are plenty of countries that are run by religion. There are plenty of countries that are influenced by religion. For instance, nearly all of the progressive aspects of America come from religious influence, particularly Christian ones.
This country was not founded on religion sir! Half of the men who wrote the constitution were atheists who warned against religious fanaticism spilling into government. (You're a google search away if you don't believe me.) If you want to have a religion, (which let's face it, is nothing more than fairy tales passed down from generation to generation) fine... knock yourself out. But don't try to shove it down other people's throats and DO NOT use it to oppress a woman's right to choose.
Bschuch, in your language, how do you spell strawman?
I never said that this country was founded on religion. I said that most of the progressive aspects in America come from religious influence. The English is right there above you- I'm not sure how you miss it, if you are familiar with this language.
I don't disagree with you on the number of atheists or agnostics who wrote the constitution, but then, I never said that they didn't. That's your claim, contrary to the facts right above you.
My, my! Another infantile pottymouth. Too bad for you I'm not a Christian, and religion has nothing to do with it. Abortion is murder. Too stupid to understand still? Try it on yourself double until you understand.

You talk again about heretics, not Catholics.

It's better to encourage priests to live by their vocation than to generalize all people who are called to serve the lord in a ministr

y of prayer and teaching.

BSchuh3 2 years ago

If you talk about searching the internet, perhaps you would be better off searching the comments you reply to.
Who told you I was shoving it down people's throats. When exactly did I force you to watch my video of this event?
abdulmuhib 2 years ago
My, my! Another infantile pottymouth. Too bad for you I'm not a Christian, and religion has nothing to do with it. Abortion is murder. Too stupid to understand still? Try it on yourself double until you understand.

Randy, poddy mouth responses to poddy mouths isn't going to help anyone. It just leaves the world full of mouths full of piss.
abdulmuhib 2 years ago
No, challenging a hypocrite to face his hypocrisy and try his own medicine on himself isn't the same thing as disorganized purposeless ranting.
randycrawford 2 years ago
Abortion is murder. Any doubts? Try it on yourself.
