OMG, fish for 2,99$ per pound!!!! I'm living in Hamburg Germany at the moment where I stopped eating a largely fish diet because the prices were unaffordable. I would estimate the cheapest fish to be about 13,00€ per kilo (approx. 2 pounds). I also noticed while visiting home last year that I would for a particular pair of pants pay 25$ where here I would pay 80€. Everything at home is so cheap, why are we doing worse than everybody else? Think about it. If you have time.
It may just be an exposure thing. I was a vegetarian before I moved to Japan and became a pescatarian. There I started eating Salmon... I don't know much about other fish.
I do know I like fattier fish... I think Tilapia is one that I have also had, and I think Mahi Mahi.
No, please help me understand why you go fishing if you don't want to kill the fish. I'm sure those sharp hooks stabbing into the soft underpart of their mouths doesn't feel good
Dont mean to stump ur beliefs but it impossible to murder a fish... You can only murder HUMAN BIENGS.
its very natural to eat animals of a different specie and lower than you. Would you say bears in d wild that eat fish also murder the fish??
If you are using d 'they feel pain argument' its been proven dat plants feel 'pain' too. Should we then stop eating fruits and veggies becos we dont want to murder them?
What the fuck are you talking about. who gives a monkey's swinging through some trees ass about your comment. you can murder a fish, all they need to do is chop its head off in a violent manner.and your talkin about how plants feel pain and all this other bullcrap, who cares.
Try ChinaTown or somewhere near the seaport. If there is fresh fish in your area it was cut from a whole one. If its all frozen, then you may have problems ;-)
You know what I just realized??? That sucker never gave me my fish head, tail OR spine! gggrrrrrr!! Who knows what else he "left out" I am definitely going to make sure I watch the filet next time! humph!
Yeas I know. I was traumatized one day trying to cook lobster. I had to hold the pot top down on him until he stopped kicking. It was so ghastly I couldnt even eat it. Then after 3 days of rice and vegetables alone... I reluctantly bit into his back... it just wasnt the same.
try some sea bass ....i had some yesterday...it was about the palm of my hand, but it was sooo tender and delicious. Buy you know how Japan is..100 grams was 12 bucks. I also had some miso soup with mashed potato inside. Very tasty...but shoot....I'd rather spend 20 bucks on a whole salmon...yummy!
Mmmmmn shake' (salmon) in japan is soooooo red and good! I love it! I like that salmon soup with the crunchy little puffs in it, the seaweed strips and the gohan at the bottom. LOVE it, but I dont know the name of it.
Also I miss the flame blackened fish prepared in Japan. LORD I miss those days!
Wow! You're the only one I know who makes shopping for salmon an enjoyable experience. I eat out a lot, but I'm going to try grocery shopping again to see if it makes me feel as good. The only draw back is, I tend to over-eat when I have too much food in my apartment. I'm pretty athletic, but snacking is a bad habit of mine. That being said, I usually pick up enough for one meal. Thanks to your video, that's going to change. Take care.
Don't mean to fillet your fish shoppin' The only women in my life that ever cooked were my mothers so this is sorta foreign to me. I've never spent more than 5min on 5 items in a market. I recommend Lobster in Blackbean sauce. Waiting to see your spin on R. Kelly. Call me if the twins need a sitter.
I don't know. In the moment I thought he was camera shy... but my fish looked a little LIGHT didnt it. Next time I am going to DEMAND I see... but next time I'll be in China Town by the south street seaport and there you'll see the REALLY big salmon $45.00 -$60.00 mang!!! just you wait and see!
I got some down there 2 years ago for my dad's 60th birthday party and the fish fed FIFTY PEOPLE!!!
Girl where do you go out to eat? Salmon for 22 dollars in a restaurant?! Wow! I always get Salmon but never paid that much for it. Anyway I absolutely LOVE fish. My favorite is Talapia, Salmon, Whiting filets, Filet of Sole, and occasionally red snapper. OH! OH! have you ever tried Stuffed Flounder? YUMMY! HAPPY SHOPPING TONYA!
Good looking out! I try to eat salmon at least twice a week. Now I know to buy it whole. Lord only knows how much I complain about the price hike on fish these days.

and if you get whole thing it's more fresh. that salmon fillet could have been cut up that morning and drying out.
