Part of religion, initially at least, is explaining the unanswered. Why are we here?... where did we come from? In 2009 science hasnt brought us far enough to answer those questions based on solid facts. Now religion acts as more of a comfort i think, a reliance on what may or may not be brought, or justified.

You know, there is SO much more to the Beatles than one statement made by one of the band members. Try to remember that it was the Americans who initially made a big deal of it, and the right-wing Christians living in the southern states. Add that to the unhealthy way that media can portray the smallest incidents, and you get a small comment made into a huge deal. Wow, it's 2008, and nothing has changed. How very sad. How very unevolved we still are.

I think that alot of people being christians including me should know that some people say things they should not have and we cant hold a grudge over something that happened in 1966 that is to a SIN! So we need to understand that all he wanted to do was sell some Cds and make some songs and we should rrecognize that the beatles were great and he apologized and thats what god wants forgivenes. not a bunch of people going crazy today for something that happened years ago.God Bless The Beatles.

His quote to Maureen Cleave and his comments about Christianity were his staple of belief that the world and the values of people had shown that a band could be more popular than religion and I believe he was right in that assessment.
