  • Eat the red ones last

  • Good grief, look at the colours. X)

  • Smarties sind toll ! <3

  • 100x better than eminems

  • wtf

  • hahaha! i so remember those!

  • I wish the US had these smarties :(

  • I love sucking the colour off them.. Then biting them in half... Then eating the chocolate last. Not the red ones.

  • Smarties in Slovakia are called Lentilky!

  • Canadian Smarties are WAY better than stupid American ones !

  • @MuffinPetal777

Y u hate on ameirca smarties! Ju Rude! >:c Dont talk to me. -_-

  • lol haha i <3 smarties i just finished eating some lol :D

  • i remember this

  • what fuckwit thought it would be a good idea to change the tube to a hexagonal prism

  • @BackInAGiffy I couldn't agree more. It's like taking the Maglite torch and replacing the batteries and bulb with a wick and paraffin.

  • @anothercrusader i know. I don't know if you did this, but we used to set the tube on the table with the lid on and hit it and the lid would shoot out. That's the main reason it pissed me off that they changed it lol

  • @BackInAGiffy Quite. That was the "Fun" of the Smarties tube and anyway, a cylinder is a much more attractive form than hexagon. Trust the French to miss the point. It's like all the other things that have been swallowed by foreign companies, Treets (melt in your mouth not in your hand) They're gone and we're stuck with sickly M&Ms. Opal Fruits now called Star Burst. Why? Because the yanks can't get their heads around Opal Fruits. Commerce killed off our favourite sweets.

  • @anothercrusader and now cadbury is American. I don't know why foreign companies can't just buy our sweet brands and stay out of the styling and design just give the job to a UK base who know the market.

  • @BackInAGiffy one who doesn't like things to roll away from them.

  • @draders ah ha, to solve this unlikely problem just sit the tube upright there by securing smarties from rolling away from you.

  • you gotta watch smarties thief. when you enter that in the search bar, click on the little girl in the red dress.

  • smarties gangster senuuuuuu !!!!!

  • is it so old they could hardly afford any colour!!

  • I always eat the blue ones last, when I eat my smarties.

  • I remember this commercial in 94! commercial break for Power Rangers

  • @MapleMania in some places smarties are flat things. Here in Canada we call what I think you're thinking of rockets.

  • The blue ones got every kid smacked off their tits

  • i thought smarties were flat.. O.o these look like m&ms and skittles but without a logo

  • @coppertweed lay off the bud dude

  • Better than new commercials...

  • Are they like m&ms? I have never seen these before... they aren't in the US :(

  • @Captainskier They seriously don't have Smarties in the US? O_O Yeah, they're like M&Ms. :D

  • @Morphadyte haha nope we don't have them - the only smarties we have are like the "rockets" candy in canada (fruity candy stacked in a clear plastic wrapper). From what I have been hearing these smarties are pretty common everywhere else!

  • @Morphadyte They're in the US, but M&Ms are far more popular. There's also another kind of candy called a "smartie" that's kind of a sour, powdery pill...

  • holy crap I remember these from TV!

  • Oh shit. I was born in 1991 and I somehow remember these.

I think I was too young to remember them even saying anything in the commercials, but I distinctly remember seeing the centipede/anteater whatever all the time.

  • smarties- the number one thing to steal in canada and the uk :D ( they have smarties in uk me thinks or did ) O.o

  • mmm smarties my favorite

  • whats with the comments about canada.... The best place on earth e.o

  • @New89pop you can't judge one against another there a totally different kind of candy......

  • I remember I absolutely loved the bit with the... anteater elephant thing. But it always bugged me that it ate them with its nose, heheh.

  • Smarties seem to be the Canadian version of M&Ms

  • @Slinky1213 M7M are smaller and tastes more chocolate then smartiess

  • @Slinky1213 Nah, they're the better version of M&Ms. We have M&Ms in Canada too obviously.

  • havnt had them in forever

  • matter O fact you didn't spell "canadians" right either.

  • lol this is like being high

  • Hang on a minute. What are they eating the red ones last for? And what are they... This confused me.

  • I figured out why u eat the red ones last! Koz u don't choke on Smarties unless they are red! (known from experience)

  • Ahhh Smarties commercials were so much more better back then...I don't like the new ones nowadays and the tubes!! they were so much more better round.

By the way I hope you don't mind me posting this also?

  • They had way more colours back then.

  • When I eat MY Smarties, I eat the pink ones last!

  • I remember this ad! haha

  • lame pure lame

  • how is it that smarties don't have artificial colours now? how are they coloured?

  • Comment removed

  • @CinnamonWithATwist

they're made with natural dyes. the purple ones for instance aren't even vegetarian technically purple the dye is made using a derivative of the Cochineal insect. :)

thats why blue ones were gone too, because they couldn't find a natural blue dye when they switched. Now they have supposedly.

  • Comment removed

  • smarties or M&M's?

  • i want the old ones with the e numbers the blue one was the nicest

  • @grannynappster Québécois are kinda cool too, maybe...

  • You know, the best thing on visiting Canada from the "States" is being able to purchase Smarties! (yes, I know, the British ones that are actually larger can be purchased from stores here in the U.S. that cater to the local Irish populations such as Chicago, but it still ain't the same as the "Canuck Smarties").

  • The best thing on visiting Canada from the "States" is being able to purchase some Smarties! (yes, I know you can purchase the British ones in the U.S. from stores that cater to local Irish populations like here in the Chicago area, but it just ain't the same as the "Canuck Smarties").

  • I think he's talking about the US Smarties (Rockets in Canada).

  • Smarties are Canadian dumbfuck (ROCKET S IN US!)

  • @SniperViper1000 My bad and it's called Smarties in the us, no need for profanity.

  • @SniperViper1000 And I'm talking about someone talking about US Smarties (Rockets, it's called Smarties in the us) not Nestle Smarties. Nestle doesn't sell them here I don't think. If so, it's imported (from what I recall).

  • Haha.. I Remember This Commercial!

  • weird much?

  • thats EFFED

  • i eat the red one first ~.^

  • EAT THE RED ONE LAST ;)

  • Good, but it's not as good as the Smarties advert wih CGI init. It's also the advert that was in the "Only Smarties have the answer" era. But on the whole this is still classic!

  • i like the 2008 commercial better.....

  • Wow, it seems like just yesterday I was watching this during Animaniacs...

  • y so soft?

  • yay- a classic commercial.

  • Smarties predate M&Ms by two years. The only real difference between Smarties and M&Ms is that Smarties are delicious and M&Ms taste like dogshit.

  • Please tell me you haven't actually done a taste-test between M&Ms and dogshit...

  • No, all my dogshit experience is second hand. Did you know that UK Smarties taste different than Canadian ones? There's a distinct lemony flavor to the ones from the UK. I prefer the Canadian ones.

  • why the red ones? why not orange? (arnt the orange ones orange flavored?)

  • Not in Canada (I believe you were referring to UK Smarties). They all taste the same.

  • Red ones refer to the red maple leaf in Canada.

  • I've never heard that before. The "eat the red ones last" campaign originated in England, where Smarties originated. The jingle is based on "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavour", by Lonnie Donegan (a British Skiffle musician). So the "red ones = the maple leaf" seems unlikely.

  • Smarties oringinated in Canada dumbfuck.
