Ladies! Why be ashamed of your beauty!? You should be proud and let your beauty be seen and be an inspiration to others. Hijabs are so unattractive. It's like putting a blanket half-way over a great painting or taking half of the instruments out of a great piece of music. Beauty should be embraced and cherished, not shunned and hidden away. :( That's my opinion.
A man telling you how to wear a hijab!! What a joke. Tell him how to wear a MASK. He is obviously making money out of this and probably using this excuse to lure young girls to his shop. He needs to be exposed and reported to POLICE
this is a wonderful video. i want to be muslim but i cant because im afraid my family will never talk to me again. i dont want to talk about it because it makes me cry, but i love the video. also, what is the music at the end? i love the music
This hijab has also a good side: you don't have to worry at all about how your hair looks like and you have neither to visit the hair-stylist nor to wake up earlier daily to wash and arrange your hair :-) However, there is still something I do not understand: they say they wear hijab because men should focus on woman's spirit and not her body and they should not be tempted by her beauty etc. If so why do these ladies use makeup????
My parents always told me since it's not my religion, I'm not allowed to wear Hijab... but I've always wanted to, they look so pretty and girly... some of them have really pretty colours and patterns, I'm so envious of people who get to wear these :(
@MandarinNacho you can be whatever you want to be, whatever is in your heart. i have the same problem, im just gonna wait til i move out to be who i am, cuz i sure cant do it here. u will have ur chance to be yourself
@MandarinNacho are you envious of the people who have to wear Hijab & have no choice! Did you know, that there is nothing in the Quran that tells a women to cover there hair! Why would you like a religious piece of covering, that men make women wear in the name of religion when it is not part of that said religion! Muslim men control what women wear but you want to celebrate that? How sad, do you think the women forced to wear think they are pretty & girly. Idiot...
Women wearing this attire and living in Western Europe are not really respecting the non-Muslim reality of the West. It is up to immigrants (the majority of Muslims) to integrate and respect the values and culture of the West.
I honestly do not understand the need for hijab. If it is for women to help keep men from looking at them, why don't Muslim men wear a covering to keep women from looking at them? I truly do not get this.
Salam Alaykoum! Thx a lot for yours video, it help me a lot to find some different way to wear my hijab. Merci beaucoup pour tous les video posté, je suis une nouvelle convertie, donc cela m'aide énormément.
Can you please tell me who sings that song you used! And thank you for the video it was very useful for me! But please do tell me who sings that song!
How can a woman drive a car or truck, pilot an aircraft, or run a locomotive, be a news announcer on TV, become a doctor and operate on a patient.... while wearing a bed-sheet over her head?
Thank you for this instructional video, I was looking for more modest styles for myself and my preteen daughter. I am not muslim and am american, but I have found the head scarves to be a god send for protecting the modesty of myself and preteen daughter. Again a hundred thanks and may Allah bless you for your good deeds.
why do u waste ur time and make videos like these? u know, my little 2 year old brother would be able to wrap a scarfe around my head like this. why dont u do things that are new and good and hard for people to do so we learn to do it.
Salams, Not everyone is good at wearing scarves as you might be and from the feedback we have got so far people are finding this useful. we are already underway in making a video on more complicated styles that people could use for special occassions.
how small your world must be to have never considered anyone but yourself.. or your little two year old brother. there are many women who revert to Islam for whom this video is a "God send" as is said in some places.
This brother has done a good thing by posting this tutorial. I, for one, am very relieved to have found it.
If this video didn't serve YOUR purpose then why put down the efforts of others who try to do a good thing?
hi,i liked the ideas but i go to school and that style bothers me and it always falls down or somthing like that,so, could you please make a video how to wear a hijab but in a simple way
I am interested in wearing Hijab but have no one to teach me how to tie the back. Many videos show the front or finished product, but the back is a mystery to me :)
I'm not Muslim (I don't have a religion), but a Muslim friend once gave me a beautiful hijab before moving back to Saudi Arabia. I went home and tried it on for fun, and I liked the way it looked & felt on me. I never wore it, but I kept it in a safe place.
Now, 11 yrs later (at age 34), I'm 100% tired of strange men staring at me, esp. since I have grown quite shy over time. I want to wear my hijab in public to feel protected & anonymous, but it is disrespectful to do so if I'm not Muslim?
many non-muslims wear a headscarf. the hijab is to do with modesty, and part of modesty is not wanting the opposite sex to stare at you. if you dont like men staring at you, thats fine. it shows that you are modest. Infact, muslims would be proud of you if you wore a headscarf. plz reply xxx
Excellent Point! When I was Christian I wore a headscarf for this very same reason (and also because I was a hippy and liked scarves). Most of my relatives are Amish and they too wear headcoverings. I am thinking of going back to wearing scarves as a statement of modesty ;)
No, it isn't disrespectful at all! Moreover, it is showing how you respect, rather than condemn the freedom a muslim woman has to fulfill her self worth and retain her dignity. I highly encourage you to look deeper into Islam, and you might find many more aspects of our religion that you agree with.
no , not at all ^_^ It's ok , a hijab isn't just something a muslim women should wear. it's something women wear to cover themeselves , to be modest , you know :) i'm glad that you do wear it :D
My mother converted to islam when she met my father but she didnt wear hijab until about 10 years later. My father didn't want to press it on her and wanted her to cope on her own. He also wanted her to wear it only when she's convinced. You can take your time to learn more about islam if you like, this way when you wear hijab you can wear it as a proud muslim :).
Hijab significates "protection", so it is certainly not to abuse. It is islam law, for the muslim women, to wear it. The muslim way to dress also makes that the women dress more simply in public, not to attract men or to make competition to other women. In that way, there is less discord.
Muslim women are required to wear it, but it is a choice they can not be forced otherwise that will be going against the teachings of Islam. There is no compulsion in religion.
that is what i was talking about. i am not a muslim, first of all. if you want to wear a hijab good, but don't do it because some man tells you to do it.
Why don't you also ask "if praying in congregation on fridays is so great, then why aren't women also required to do it?"
Because you're not looking at Islam as a whole. Men and women have different rights, responsibilities and obligations. That does not mean one is inferior to the other, they are simply different. Please do not attempt to argue that they are not different, it takes a 6 year old to be able to tell this.
Also, if the friday prayer is required for men, it is more responsabilities for them, since they Have to do it. Though, women don't have the obligation, but still get the reward if they do so.
If feminine features are so nice, why don't men have them? If stiletto shoes are so great, why don't blokes wear them? Nail varnish? Lipstick? What about handbags; they can make or break a look...
Headscarves are used by women in the practice of their Islamic faith, and are recognised in the eyes of Muslims as being an expression of femininity.
As much as I like my bloke's cummerbund and dinner jacket combination, I'll stick to my headscarf and heels.
:sigh: i sort of think i should wear hijab, i'm so confused though.. but the qur'an is always so vague about it. anyway i probably will i guess. i'm not looking forward to the initial experience... all my friends are going to think i'm psycho. and i'm not going to be able to hang out with them anymore, who am i kidding, i'm rarely going to hang out period. it's not fun when you stand out... it freaking sucks having to live in the U.S. defies a human's natural desire to assimilate and fit in.
i thought the exact same thing 3 years ago, but once i get the hang of wearing it, i didnt care what anyone thought because i felt so good i was representing my religion and who i am. i was proud to stand out ,even thought it was only for the reason that ppl (mainly guys) would look at me because what i had on my head instead of eye balling me head to toe and thinking about me ill..if u know what i mean.. -peace
It is accordance to all 4 that hijab is obligatory. Me I tough, will I be more affraid of my parents and friends than of God? Certainly not. Don't let bad excuses and the shaytan get over you. Once you do it, you are more happy with it than before, and also very proud. It has been said that in the final times, to keep religion will be very difficult.
When I was in turkey there was a girl and she was dressed really cool, so I bought a lovely pink scarf and cannot bloody put it on properly, now I am going to watch this over and over again so I can get it right
