I knew Stacy Rowles in high school, back where we both grew up in Burbank. She was a really awesome person well before she became known for her music and I have never forgotten her... RIP Stacy.
Thank you for this beautiful video. I had the grand honor of writing the liner notes for "Me and the Moon", one of her finest moments with her dad Jimmy. I loved Stacy dearly; she will be greatly missed.
This video really illustrates we have lost such a warm, genuine musician in Stacy. She will be missed terribly in the L.A. jazz scene, and in the world of jazz.
Fortunately, we do have some of Stacy's beautiful preserved on recordings. Besides the great recordings with her dad, she is featured playing and singing on Liz Kinnon's "Ms. Behavin'" CD.
Thanks for all the beautiful notes and music from the heart, Stacy. We'll miss you.
My dad and i recorded Stacy and her dad at Sage & Sound Recording Studio, and I have loved her and her playing and singing since . I AM DEVASTATED. She will be greatly missed by all.
I played next to Stacy for 12 years and she was a major influence on my playing. What a great musician and natural talent. Stacy would have no idea just how much she would be missed.
Wow, just saw this, I played trumpet with Stacey in junior high in Burbank
