i think Seth Green does not want to be dominated by Berry. doesnt want to be the underdog! it is pretty clear by his remark what he thinks of Berry Humphrey, that he steals the show and makes himself the center of attention.

i have seen it before. some people take Berry Humphrey as a personal challenge. get provoked by his style.

Barry Humphries is one of Australia's great geniuses, and this interview shows him as that. Rove is desperately trying to be his match in quick-witted funniness, but fails with every line he attempts. Having Rove interview someone of Barry Humphries' magnitude is like watching a toddler being thrown into the deep end of the pool without a floatie.

@uofjim ....Well he has been on T.V doing this show for 10yrs and at the peak of his career chose to retire.He was also been targeted by American networks to do a late night show over there.He was quite popular in Australia and still was when he retired.

Yes, I could watch him all day too. I don't know this talk show host (I'm in the States), but even worse is the current Dame Edna show in New York, where someone thought it would be a good idea for Dame Edna to share the stage with Michael Feinstein, a kind of piano bar singer, singing the so-called American Songbook. When Edna leaves the stage, it's deadly and I felt veryy cheated. Edna is great in this show ("Is there an Australian Songbook". "Yes, but it's more like a pamplet really.")

It's interesting watching Barry in this interview. The mannerisms of Dame Edna seem to be from Barry's own character, which is not surprising, but since Dame Edna is much more recognisable and iconic than Barry himself, it's like we're watching a male version of Dame Edna, or perhaps a brother.
