From what I remember John Sierra passed away in 1994.

First of all he was a great guy and a good teacher, he unfortunately with all his talent and the people who cared about him, John was a depressed person. From what I was told he commited suicide by letting himself fall off a roof in Queens NY. I wished that never have happened, because he was so talented he would of went on to do greater things, or at least be a session player well in demand.

John Magus Beast, real name John Sierra playing the hamer guitar with the reverse headstock use to be my guitar teacher. Sad to say he is not with us anymore. He was a very extreamly talented musician from NY. He played in a band called Battalion. They played Danciteria in NYC, L'amours in Queens back in the late 80,s. Anyone have any videos of these shows? If so please put them on youtube.
