What I wonder is...how do the cops make these busts? Do they get tips, or do they just randomly go around in HUGE, vast parks looking for a plant that can blend in well with the rest of the green there? It seems like it would be a pain in the ass for them to do constantly go on these search and raids

I dont understand the logic of using helicopters to find pot when there is not enough money in the budget. I think a helicopter uses alot of expensive fuel. Just because these cops with no real purpose find some pot growing its not going to make any difference. Money spent on bullshit like this could be used to repair roads, or investment in technology. Flying around looking for plants is something a bored billionare can do with his own money.

The law enforcement has to come down on that shit. i mean the average person growing a few plants in their backyard for their own use is no big deal but fucking illegals growing on gov. land for profit no way got to put a end to that.

@crabber59 Keep in mind if it were legal to cultivate in the first place, the use of government / public land for grow ops would greatly decrease. Legitimate commercial farms (allegorical to the US agriculture industry) would take the place of these rogue growers - as well as contributing to state and federal tax coffers. Our GDP would increase a significant amount if the underground economy of cannabis was legitimized.
