  • @Fondlyours1960 gicl.cs.drexel.edu/people/sevy/luthierie/guitarmaking_guide/side_bending/side_bending.html

Copy and paste the above link into your browser and it shows one of the best explanations on this subject.

  • Sounds great! How'd you bend you sides?

  • nice job congrats.

  • wow, amazing job!

  • 6 people tried to build a guitar as nice as this and................well lets just sum it up by saying FAIL

  • nice guitar ... what is the name the song you played at the end?

  • @eldj30 The song's name is Amazing Grace It's an amazing song, isn't it? :)

  • McLovin?

  • @SVaiGuy95 Lol, was that a Superbad reference ?

  • That's pretty cool! How long did it take? How much did it cost?

  • I'll be watching for the YukonStrings brand at the next NAMM show. :D

  • Very well done! I watched with joy as you overcame the tooling challenges and Continued on with the process. You are in the top 1% of the top 10% in the carpentry world with your build. Just a note where did you get the finger plane?

  • How'd you get a hold of that Kind of wood!

  • S&M ass paddle.

  • Start selling.

You'll be rich in no time.

  • i wish you could make me a guitar.

  • If you don't mind me asking, how much do you have in it as far as the price of material? Great job, enjoyed the journey!

  • very impressive. Good song choice for the sound check.

  • Can you build it deeper or with different woods for a more bassy response? The reason I ask is that I really don't like most 'nice' guitars because they sound way too metallic. I generally prefer cheap Aisan guitars even though those are like ten times harder to play, and I almost never change my strings (unless they won't hold tension anymore) because I don't like the tone of fresh strings. Nice Job on building your own guitar, that kicks ass.

  • @taylorwolfbrandt same with me i like it when the strings are dull sounding

  • Who knew McLovin could play guitar.

  • it sounds awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • Well done. Craft always involves heart to hand which makes it uniquely an expression of your soul. Hope to hear that you are still building guitars many years from now.

  • Good Job Man!! Thats awesome!...what a sense of satisfaction you must have knowing that you crafted a fine instrument for yourself by hand. I can only imagine that feeling.

Perhaps one day I too will find the time to create something as beautiful. I was once very handy with woodworking projects. Very inspiring to see the whole process & end results.

  • Hi - I just watched your other video where you built your guitar and really enjoyed seeing you play it here. Well done! I never appreciated how many steps were involved in making a guitar before I saw your video. Also, your guitar came out so beautifully - and it was only your first one! You are very skilled and should be very proud of the great job you did :-)

  • Could you build me one, and how much would you charge?? send me a message if you will... the guitar looks and sounds great!

  • parabens, são poucos que conseguem fazer um violão, is very very very very very nice, congratulations

  • Чувак, струны дребезжат пипец! блин, откуда вы Амерекосы берёте дерево такое!??

  • GREAT WORK...!

  • nice skil ...but can it stand a more rough playing?

    Bye!

  • Pretty good, you don't think the sound hole is a little large though?

  • what song did he just played on the last part?

  • Amazing Grace :-)

  • okay how much?

  • amazing set of videos.... how much to make me one like that????

  • inspiring!

  • i hate it when people call guitars axes, just call it a guitar or say wow what an amazing piece of craft manships....

  • is your E or B string buzzing? or is it the recording?

  • HAHA, it's the B string. I can hear it too.

  • maybe check the nut and or saddle. see i you filed your grooves deep enough. nice looking axe.

  • sounds like a taylor

  • @TheCr0wing Not sayin' much. More like a Gibson or Martin.

  • @rightwingted idk its got that warm yet bright spank and is glassy like a taylor

  • I'm not going to lie, that's probably the best sounding guitar I've heard.. comparable to any Taylor or Martin - probably even better.

  • @guglio1290 lol

  • @guglio1290

Everything depends on mic on what sound of guitar was recorded,

    unless you listening live :)!

  • awsome, ive got an old electric guitar neck im planning to use for when i build mine, im very fond of the electric neck feel u see ;)

  • sweet dude, really cool.

  • should of made it electric but amazing job. well done!

  • Great job dude, wonderful playing as well.. Wish I had to patience and tools to make my own guitar..

  • Realy good! Bravo...

But the part where you bend the sides is missing...

And you should do some inlay work on the headstock...

  • Awesome, you made my day!

  • dude incredible. GREAT choice with the indian rosewood for the back and sides. i would have gone with either that or koa, or maybe cocobolo. all delicious sounding woods.

  • if he had put a descent mic up,then you could've bitched about the sound.very nice work dude!!!

  • if I could do that, I would paint the whole neck;)

  • wow...it sounds amazing...wonderful job!

  • good job!!! I am also thinking about building my first guitar. Did you build from a kit or was it made from scratch?

  • Fantastic looking guitar! Absolutely beautiful, has a very nice warm sound to it. How much did it cost to build?

  • thats cool that you made your own guitar. it must make it satisfying to play.

  • WOW

  • watched the making video and this one they are great. i made a flying v guitar and a double neck check out the videos i am thinking about making an acoustic too

  • I don't trust what it's Homemade guitar

  • amazing

  • beautiful !! but how much did it cost???

  • beautiful guitar, but the fretboard is off a little bit, you can hear the buzzing lol. other than that, great job

  • i think youre a huge bag of rotten douche. there is no buzzing. i've replayed this vid 3 times with headphones on....he even frets on 2 with his thumb-with ZERO buzz towards the end. try appreciating effort instead of shitting in a bag, putting a bow on it, and passing it off as a compliment. way to go yukon.

  • its eather the b or high e string, but its still there... i never said it wasnt a good guitar. i praise him for actually making a guitar. maybe you should finish reading the comment before you come up with a nasty comment.

  • shut up it sounds perfect to me

  • peaceful sound

  • I love the bridge on it! and the headstock! I am very picky about headstocks but I love the one you did :)

    Indy

  • you're a genius!

  • dude, nice job. keep at it you will just keep getting better and better.

  • Did you ever consider making a Gretsch style hollowbody electric? I have one of those, it's wicked. You should try it.

  • can he prove he actually built it?

  • Yes, just check my other videos

  • i appologise! very nice! you should consider making a few of them and try selling them on ebay its got a nice sound very unique

  • Great job!

  • Im in love with the guitar sound

    Nice job!

  • If that guitar was in a store or a website, i would by it xD But thats the sickest acoustisk guitar i ever hured ! :D

  • You did a very good job man! That looks beautiful! How much do they cost to make one. I might be interested in buying one!

  • I think i will try to make an ACOUSTIC Explorer soon...

  • dude, send me a video when its finished! that would be sweet!

  • um...isnt it finished now????????

  • someone is jealous!

  • Nice, you didn't let anyone tell you you couldn't. and with those tools I am amazed by what you turned out. Where can I buy one?

  • wow thats inspiration dude! great work!

  • I wanna be a guitar-designer/maker or a rockstar when i get old enough... this is awesomeness in my eyes

  • you should make a name then get the head labeled

  • its a realy nice guitar and sounds realy nice, you should concider jopining a band if your not in 1

  • That beats a gibson in looks! Very beautiful :)

  • just watched the whole series you have up here on building, and I must say very good job! Keep at it, you'll learn more and more as you go!

There were a few momenst where I was questioning your technique, but everything seems to have worked out... just keep it in a nice humidity-controlled area, b/c I'd hate to see you have to reglue that bridge - the moustache-style can prove to be difficult at best.

Great job! You're gonna be a monster!

  • youre guitar is best than gibson!

    men do you live alone?

  • Wow! Great guitar ! I wish I could do that.Keep up the good work!

  • i really like both of your vidios, sounds like a thinner martin, to me, and we all know how long they've been making guitars, nice looking guitar btw, how long did it actually take in hours?

  • you are truly an artist!

  • You are a bluegrass fan arent you? I could tell by the way you played amazing grace but I'm also sure you play classical then am I right?

  • I'm not actually a big fan of bluegrass, I don't mind some country though, I play a little bit of classical but not much

  • Pardon me for assuming guy, It's just people that play like that typically play alot of bluegrass, folk, or classical music and really it's pretty amazing stuff Ive been playin about 7 years on guitar and bass but bass is my instrument i just play chords and a little bit of folk on acoustic.

  • atta kid! That is Fantastic! you did a great job! Sounded great, looked great. Keep it up!

  • dude thats sick great gob!!! ive never built my own axe but hope to now ive seen yours!

  • Nice- my first one didnt look that good- sounded fair- you have a bright sounding one there- nice balance though

  • great job!!!

  • Well done !!

  • absolutely awesome. that looks and sounds incredible.

  • Ha! Ha! Great job! Sounds great, looks great, you used the best parts. Good job. Do not take it to college! Just fantastic. This is the best video I've seen in a while.

  • Wonderful sound!

  • Sounds great. I'm starting on my first build soon. The plan is a walnut/alpine OM. If it sounds half as nice as yours I'll be happy!

  • Idiot to,svartebert. Dude Thats what new strings sound like, crisp and brite, til they get older and get finger dirt n oil on em,then they sound more queit, n more mellow. I can hear that maple neck. Nice job, sounds good too. 5 stars.

  • wow youre a guitar nub svartebert. i prefer martin studio SP medium. no coated crap for me.
