@Borridd I think it is like a beautiful deserted island. You go there by sailing, through bad weather sometimes with only your friends. And you like staying at the beach. Then a big company comes and build an airport, hotels and brings millions of people. The island and the beach are just not the same.
@dutky90 no one's paying for it... and some already have access to it. so wtf are you saying?
I should wait because i'm not paying for it... hmm yeah, makes sense... no, hold on, NO ONE'S PAYING FOR IT IN THE U.S. EITHER, difference is, they're not waiting. so i think your reasoning is a bit off
@dutky90 i really was just implying that what he said was wrong. he said chrome users could find all sorts of blah blah fucking blah, so i think to myself "that's weird, i'm a chrome user but i can't do that" so i decided to correct him. and then i said i hated to wait for stuff
@alteragnostik This is just a stupid way of looking at it! The browser is pure web... the extensions are for people who want to extend what the browser does... hence the name! If you don't like them you don't have to use them and so you don't need to waste your time watching this video or commenting on it!
I think this industry should not multiply platforms, cause that leads to fragmentation and a big pain in the ass for developers and users.
Especially very bad for developers, which cannot create a single app, they now have to develop dozens of version — for win, mac, linux, iphoneOS, android, blackberry, air, blah-blah-blah and thanks to Google for another platform like GoogleChrome store.
The beaty of web is that it runs anywhere. So I'm for rich webapps.
So instead of remembering an adress we install an app. How is that better or worse? Is it relevant? The only relevant reason for the app-system would be to market non-advertisement-based services. You pay once or per-month and you get an service without advertisement. Remembering an adress cant do that without making you log-in when you get to the sight. And logging in to a hundred diffrent sited every day is soooo boring.
@dkbe1983 It's not just helping you not to remember an address, though that's true in some cases.
Because Chrome supports a lot of HTML 5 and CSS 3, as well as a very, very fast Javascript engine, developers can build something(or a version of an existing application) for Chrome and not have to worry about making it work in old versions of Firefox or, worse, Internet Explorer.
Also, the curated nature of the webstore means the popular, good applications will surface and have reviews.
@DroidNoid you just need to look good enough for an app. i got angry birds and plants vs zombies. and also fancypants! :]

apps in the browser are useless.
Why should I install another app? I already have tons of that crap on my desktop and smartphone.
All I want from browser it to have a pure web, or pure high functional web-apps.
Event the extentions are bad.

@alteragnostik the apps are for the chrome notebook, which operates only on the web.
if you wanted to do anything on it, you would *need* to use an app, which is what these apps are for.
