Whatever man, google your mum, myself or peoples units I have fixed and modded have never had problems, your mod is shit,I can easily purchase 1 of these on eBay and hook it up in 5 mins, you clearly don't understand the full concept of the situation.
@WUCATILLY your obviously bashing the guy because you sell a similar product...i went on your website and checked out your version of the fan mod and besides looking fancy, what makes your fan mod different from the one in this video? not trying to start an argument just genuinely wanna know for my ps3's sake
@SNaKeYe355 I was argueing with the guy because he remains to the fact that you can run a fan mod at full speed constantly 24/7,i simply replied that you can NOT run a fan mod at that speed constantly,i also stated that his mod is shit because there are many new released heat stats and internal fan mods that leave his for dead these days, same as computers, new ones are released everyday,i guess its not about fancy looks or better mods, its how you run them and i strongly disagree with
@SNaKeYe355 the uploaders way of working it,i guess at the end of the day its not about fancy looks or better mods, its how you run them what counts for longer life durations within units, hope this is clear.
@SWOgottaGO heres an intelligent comment for you, your mums a dirty slut who works on the corner of 7th street, dat hoe knows some really intelligent moves.
An electric motor and an internal combustion engine are very different...but a car with an electric fan will run said fan at full speed. The reason I mentioned PC fans is that they are the same concept...in fact the PS3 fan is made by Delta...one of the companies that has been making PC fans since the early days. Go ahead and google if it is safe to run a fan at the rated speed...and while you are at it, google when 3.55 was released.
You know what...................I smell clear BULLSHIT coming from your mouth,What ever just do it your way and blow your shit idiot, any person that has an idea on what where discussing would know you have no clear what your on about,it's like a car constantly sitting on high revs without decreasing, what's gonna happen overtime???it's gonna blow idiot,I do have a internal fan mod bitch,it's bein kicking since 3.55 ofw was released by Sony, around 2 yrs ago,I never breached a problem.
You clearly haven't a clue what you are talking about. I've got internal fans that have been running at full speed in my PC 24-7 for the last 15 years, old parts get outdated and the fans get moved to the new PC...and they are not as good as the fan in the PS3. I don't care what insanity you happened to find on google. Oh...and the fan in my PS3 has been running at 85-100% for almost 18 months now without the slightest issue. BTW...I did google it just now and everyone says it is safe.
No internal fan can run FULL speed constantly, just google it,it says it all ova the net,you will burn out after few monthes.if people get 4,6 yr life span out of a stock ps3 then raising our fan mods by 20,25% the most will be the ideal speed for our units, not on high speed constantly.
This is nice, the fan sound is not a problem, now is sounds like an xbox 360 running which is completely fine! I don't think your gonna mute the tv and play anyway:)
Very nice work...... I have a similar setup with an external thermometer that plugs into the back of my PS3 when i need it. I keep the CPU at around 40ºC manually adjusting the fan with not much fan noise. I have made the power supply external and in its place i have put a 12cm clear blue led fan that you can see through the top case when its on. Takes temperatures down about 2ºC. Also have cut out the bottom of the case to allow plenty of air to get in.
Correct...actually a converter cable that I got from Amazon. The PS3 displays a little funky on it because it is a 16:10 screen and the PS3 outputs at 16:9...but if I had made the video in my gaming room connected to my 16:9 screen, there wouldn't have been enough light for my camera to work correctly.

Most everything used was from my parts stock...the PCB cost about $30 and I already had the arduino, but now that it is in the system, I will have to buy a second one.
Overall it would probably cost around $80 in parts if you didn't have anything already.
It all depends on room temperature and which of the four firmwares you use (45c, 50c, 55c, or 60c target temperature). The video shows the 45c firmware...typically 44c-45c in a 24c room. The 50c firmware that I use day to day runs at 47-48c in a 24c room...still loud, but not as much. The 55c firmware runs about 52-53c. This is about what the system ran at when it was new. The last firmware is 60c...still a bit faster than PS3 firmware 3.55 does by default.
Also, if you go to my site and click "PS3 E-Z Chill External Control Version" on the left, there is a link to build a fan controller from a project board at the bottom of the page.
I have bare PCBs for the "External Control" and "Set-N-Forget" models...I sell those for $8 shipped (shipped by regular envelope, no insurance or tracking).
I am not selling kits at this time, but I do have a spare board for the display. I am putting everything up on my website; everything but the arduino adapter board is already up there including source code.
If you just want to cool your system down, I offer a ready-made PNP fan controller for your model...also on my website.
My system is for sale in the Buy-Sell-Trade section of the PS3Hax forum. I am selling it as, One-of-a-kind, and as such, I won't be offering any kits for this mod. However, you can order a PNP fan controller for the 60GB models from my website.

It is designed to run at full speed.
zkummer2359 1 month ago
If the internal fan runs constantly at speeds above 90% the fan will blow after 8,9 monthes, turn it down to around 70,75% dam.

What's the average temperature? Just curious given 45 degrees causes the fan to go spastic.. Epic mod dude
