  • would a rx8 engine fit in a justy sideways(since the rotary is so small and the engine bay look like it has lot of space (for a wankel)

  • if viscous is your only issue lol just clean the oil and put the oil weight you want it is called viscous for a reasojn oil does the job

  • I really love the Subaru Justy. I have a C3 XTR, Rav4 and a Justy... the only car that I will never sell is my little freaking Justy. It's the smallest, not powerful and unconfortable of them 3, but for me it's the best.

  • Awesome, great cars. Is this a manual?? Because the LSD in Manuals is 50:50 split??

  • lol suabru's are like tanks.

  • You can't beat any Subaru awd. They rule.

  • I have a Subaru Justy too, with this lightly vehicle, you will have no problems, even on frozen snowslush. I did a similar road this winter, but with a Bucher Duro, a small 4wheeldrive 5 tonnes lorry . I didn't have any snowchanis or spiketyres, it took me about 3 houres to climb up a 3 kilometer long road...

This was realy hard, mainly because there was abysm on one side of the street.

  • hi, i'm looking for one of these, this would be my first car. I live in quebec so winters here are really snowy and road conditions are rlly bad lol. I wonder if you can give me some comments on this car, is it good on highways, max speed, i don't need to go over 120kph, but if at this speed the steering shakes and all... thank you

  • I have one of these. dynamically its not a particularly good car, uncomfortable for motorways, but very good on snow. mine never got stuck once.

  • Hi,

I want to buy a Justy just to climb hills as you do - I live in the mountains. My question is: which year/model are you using ? Which one is better: 1.2 liter or 1.0 liter , I know that the one with ECVT is a crap....but not much more. Thanks

  • This justy looks like the later 1995 onwards version, same car as suzuki swift but with AWD, they are 1.3 4 cylinder.

I've got one. they really are this good in the snow.

The earlier ones with the 1.2 3 cylinder are good too, just more rust prone than the later ones. the 1.0 justy is only 2wd.

  • Justys are badass end of story, i went up STEEP 4wheeler trails all the time

  • gotta love those subies

  • Great! I'm just going to buy one and use to go ski. It's a good car? I know max 50% power traction at the rear axle, is not so? thanks for post it

  • I wouldn't call it a good car, it is not comfortable at all, small, I have problems with clutch and the viscous coupling also doesn't seem to be in a good shape, but it perfectly fits my needs - to climb up :-). If I was you I would rather go to Impreza - it is not much more expensive and it has the fron/rear differential, not the viscous coupling.

  • OTOH my neighbour has one (impreza) and he wasn't able to get to places where I could get ... strange, maybe the weight also plays a role? 100% vs 50% - in theory the viscous couping can transfer 100% of the torque to the back axle, but it is just a theory. It happened to me that I stuck in a snowdrift and wasn't able to get out even the rear wheels were on asphalt - the front on snow were slipping but the rear weren't - they were just tugging - some torque went to them, but not enought.

  • Thank you for informations. For that happened to you I think because there is not any blocking differential,so that if only a front wheel doesn't work you are in troubles. Yes is not a true off road car but any way is good on normal snowing roads,I think.I discover that's the same of suzuki ignis and both are made in Hungary.I've to see suzuki too before buy ones. Ciao

  • 10% of the torque goes to the rear wheels, so even if the front is completely slipping, the 10% still pushes you :-)
