I just put Purgatory 2.2 on the front and The Captain Control 2.0 on the rear. Handles like a dream in loose to loamy ground over Autumn, Winter and Spring. Then i Swap the from for a Captain in the summer. Works best for me all year round
Just noticed this video on the Specialized channel. I'm one of those "parents" that put these on my bikes back in 1994. Now that I see they've made a comeback I'm ordering a couple sets. Rode everything from street to downhill in Lake Tahoe and they never failed me.
I ride a stock P.2 right now, and it is my only ride. I take it everywhere from town, to the dirt jumps, to the trails. I'm saving up for a dedicated trail bike, but right now, the P.2 is my only option. What do you guys think are my best options to do all of this to some level of adequacy? I live in the north east, so imagine more wet rocks and roots than actual dirt on the trails.
Spare me the happy horse shit music.

@iwillgetyoufreestuff They do. It's called the Butcher DH or the Clutch DH. They also have a tire finder on their website.
