  • well as the old saying goes, "all good things come to an end". sadly, disney is just going to keep going down hill from here on out. :(

  • You said 2D is better than 3D, and even a kid would notice Beauty and the Beast (which has 3D) is better than Brother Bear (which doesn't)

  • mayabe because Diseny got tried of musical.

well that and animated musicals are pratically dead. :-(

  • blahblahblah

  • too scared to show u face or what

  • Sherman Brothers songs are best ;)

  • I definatley agree with you on everything1 The Princess and The Frog was such a relief to me and I went and saw it in the theaters the premier weekend and I'm 14! I mean I only saw Tarzan and Mulan in the theaters and The Little Mermaid for it's second release and I loved them as a child but I don't think anyone will ever get emotionally attatched to Wall-E

  • @mlballerina Wow, you must be psychologically mature for your age!

  • You have hit the nail on the head! Granted Ratatouille was good but it's not THE Disney standard we grew up loving! Kudos to you for this rant!

  • *subed* X3

  • Did you see the new Princess and the Frog? They brought back all of these things.

  • I totally agree- I saw Princess and the Frog a while back, it was good, but something still seemed to be missing.

  • Darling, I completely agree with you on everything you've said. I love classic 2-D animation and I'm sad seeing EVERYTHING so computer-generated now. And I miss the music. Thank goodness for Princess and the Frog. I hope they continue in that direction! You can be my friend anytime. We can sit around and rant about things like this. I'm all up for it!

  • @headintheclouds23 Hell yeah! 2-D is a good calorie-burning workout for your arm! No wonder there are so many health freaks out there! We must've passed Phys-Ed with flying colours throughout our public education years!

  • The children have grown up in a new time than you have Disney is doing fine they staying along with the current if they hvaent of gone to 3d they would have gone out of bussiness years ago and that would have been tradgic

  • yay, someone else who shares my views! thank you so much for putting this up, every bit of it is true xD

  • My god...i think im actually getting addicted to when you say "the lion king"... i dont even know why T_T

  • I miss good disney

    disney princesses pwn hanna montana

  • Hi there, this is the Unknown Avenger, I am here to congratulate you on such an amazing rant. >>Robotnik: I am so irritated at new Disney. >>Unknown: I know, it's pathetic. >>Robotnik: It's lost its flavor. >>Unknown: You mean flavah? >>Robotnik: No, I mean flavor. >>Unknown: Oh, I get it. >>Robotnik: Good. >>Unknown: What are we going to do this time, Robotnik? >>Robotnik: Get the lions and the sharks and they will have a huge feast. >>Unknown: Oh yeah.
  • I am OBSESSED with Disney, but i am obsessed with its 2D wonderful films and Pixar. NOT Hannah Crap-Tana or High School Mucus or most stuff ):(

  • I totally agree! :D

  • friends on the other side by Dr. Facilier is another good villian song.

  • Well it seems disney's getting better now with the princess and the frog, but their latest 3D is nice. The tinker bell ones can be equated with toy story, so with all the downturns they may have there will always be an up.

  • I completely agree with you! It almost makes me cry to think how bad Disney has become.. I'm so happy they are making the princess and the frog in 2d.. I'm gonna give it a shot and hope they include some vocal singing.. Another thing.. Disney Channel.. is basically.. crap.. all those lame series with tweenies who can sing, are pretty and basically perfect in every way according to Disney.. Makes me wanna puke.. And the Jonas Brothers.. Don't EVEN get me started! YUCK! Come back old Disney... :'(

  • @sunriseangel89 Hell yeah! Old Disney was CLEAN enough for CLASSY teens and young adults like US to tolerate!

  • I know... The people who work for disney now are pretty much running out of ideas. I mean, they keep buying all the competition! I live in fear that one day Disney will own every company in the world, and all we will have to do is watch

    3D movies and animations.

  • You are so right! In the old disney movies there were awesome, twisted antagonists that made it hard for the main character to win were all over the place and now the villains are all weak losers! I mean, when was the last time that you had a villain that wanted to basically rape the heroine? Not since Alladin, the hunchback of Notre Dame, and the such. Oh, how I miss Hexxus.

  • wat is that by your side

  • i love 2d but the story Counts most

  • Pixar is basically part of Disney so they don't really compete. Maybe you meant Dreamworks?

  • I agree with you. Every since walt passed on, they totally went down hill. Also maybe they need to put more cartoons/movies on their channels instead of wizards of dorky palace. lol (no offence)

  • Beautifull rant well as beautifull as a rant can get but eyerthing you said is dead on and I just I can't do it anymore! After high school musical i lost all hope know the are possibly making the worst movies of all time. but just mayeb someoday just maybe there will be a 2-d villian hero story someday

  • man i know what you mean. the hunchback of notre dame music DOES kick ass! seriously tho, i could cry over what disney has become. 2D is the best no matter what.

  • Hunchback was a great film, but my favorite was the Lion King. BTW, WALL-E was really good. Go see it!

  • yes but it doesnt have the love, the fun or anything that old disney musicals or disney movies had

  • @Phantomdubber I totally agree, because we highly intelligent teens and young adults have what the new Disney lacks...and that's a HEART!

  • i didnt really like wall-e personally.

    it was ok.

but the lion kings my fave movie of all times

  • the new alice in wonderland movie, that disneys making, looks realy good

  • What the heck you were playing Enchanted music from the beginning of the video, you'd watched it before even making this video. But as you know Enchanted made a point of borrowing from the older stuff, which is why the animation was like that, and the music was all borrowed. It was a satire off of its own material. I think you like the old stuff based of nostalgia

  • ZOMG I LOVE Hunchback, even though some of the things in it creeped me out like the religious stuff, but it was REALLY good especially Frodos's part. I love when he sees Esmerelda in the fire it's friggin awesome~! ^____^

  • I agree with you

I was watchng most of the Disney Classic

Sleeping Beauty, Hercules, Tarzan, and Nightmare Before Christmas; my mind was fuck up, I was like, "What had Disney done now!"

Ever since that day I don't watch Disney anymore, only sometime

  • Brother Bear and Lilo and Stitch had some memorable songs but you are right ^^

  • i think like aladdin was one of the best movies made by OLD disney~!

  • to tell you the truth I hate disney NOW. before I LOVED IT, AND I LOVED THE MOVIES TOO LIKE:ROBIN HOODOR PETER PAN OR MICKEY MOUSE AND STUFF...NOT LIKE KUNG FU PANDA AND STUFF,well I admit that I like WALL-E but it doesen't center disney T ALL...and it REALLY SHOULD GO BACK TO 2-D ANIMATION...

  • Dude, I don't think Kung Fu Panda is disney........

  • Yeah, that's a Dreamworks movie, and it really was good.

Though at times, I keep forgetting it isn't Disney

  • yah I would like Disney to go back to 2-D

cuz now its all real live acting with there

shows and 3-D with there movies.

they need to go back to the good times

  • @FakeNerdGraveyard I totally agree, because unlike 3D, 2D requires a whole lotta diligence and physical strength! We must've been proudly angelic of ourselves to stay physically active when we were kids!

  • Okay, you're little bit on villain songs, and Frollo's song in Notre Dame is one of your favorites, I couldn't agree more. That is one of the MOST BADASS Disney songs ever.

4:38 HAHA! "You got to see a cute little... alien... dog thing dance to Elvis." XD I love you, now.

Enchanted was a cool movie, but if you payed attention, Disney was feeling very lazy with the writing, as it did have SEVERAL relations to previous Disney princess movies.

  • Also, I enjoyed Wall.E and Ratatouille, along with Meet the Robinsons and Chicken Little, but the part of Disney I REALLY loathe is the shit they're spewing out called Hannah Sluttana, Hell School Musical, and the Ho Bros, but, again, you're right, Disney should go back to the 2D animation because that's what we grew up on, and I JUST BARELY managed to see, as I was born in '95, but my favorite Disney movie, even though it had no vocal music, was The Great Mouse Detective. ^_^

  • The Great Mouse Detective!? SCORE 1 FOR THE GOOD GUYS!!!

But you are right about new disney!

  • @ShadowMonkey123 "but my favorite Disney movie, even though it had no vocal music, was The Great Mouse Detective. "

Professor Ratigan sings a number, "The World's Greatest Criminal Mind" in that movie. That, and he recorded a rendition of "goodbye so soon" for Basil and Dawson when they were tied to a mouse trap set to go off when the record ended.

There's also the scene where Basil and Dawson visit a seedy bar at a pier and a female mouse sings a song "Let me be good to you."

  • @Watcher3223 Ohdear, what was I thinking at the time? Heh, my bad. What I should say is that it wasn't like the other musicals Disney likes to do.

  • @ShadowMonkey123

It may have been a while since you've seen it. "The Great Mouse Detective" wasn't as memorable with its musical numbers as other Disney animated features and was stronger with other aspects of its storytelling.

  • They were supposed to be relations to the classic princess movies :3

They even used the same camra angles for the dance scene near the end from beauty and the beasts ballroom scene.

  • Really? Hmm. I didn't know that.

Well, still, my sister and I didn't really like that too much, but Enchanted itself was pretty cute.

  • I thought ratatouille was pretty damn good.

  • I agree I love disney but the last couple disney movies I saw ALL SUCKED!!!!!!!!!

  • Woooooooo old disney. Finally someone said it. i love the old disney...

Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladdin, and Robin Hood are my favorites.

  • Atlantis wasn't an animated musical like the other movies. I agree with you. Especially about Frollo/Scar's songs :D I did like Wall E/Ratatouille (sp?) I think 2D Disney is waaay better than today's Disney (it's my favorite cartoon art...flows much better than anime/all that)

  • I miss Disney Renaissance :'(

and I LOVE the music in the old movies!

and I haven't seen movies like Enchanted

I've only seen Wall-e and lilo and stitch any other ones no. oh and pirates

Good thing new disney cant beat the reviews the ones old disney got.

I cant even sit through HSM, I just get soooooo bored

(I LOVE THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME)had to say it(write it?)

  • I know what you mean...Only a few of there recent movies I can sit through and sort of enjoy, but I can't honestly say I want to add it to my movie collection. It seems disney thinks that its a new age, and they need to change things up for they have competiors. When really they should have just sticked to there old formula, cause after a while you get sick of watching 3D stuff, almost all the time. Well at least for me.

  • I get sick of 3D too. Personally I think 3D animation is way over rated, 2D actually shows heart, and character! It may take longer, but dedication shows heart! And did you know that 3D animators might not always know how to draw well with a pen and paper? With 2D animators can put in some of their own drawing style into it, instead of having a computer do all the work.

  • @misukiyuki I agree, because 2D gets blood pumpin' in your arm and helps build a whole lotta muscle unlike 3D! I bet we got straight As in Phys-Ed throughout our public education years!

  • i totally agree! chicken little and meet the robinsons were good films, but there's no reason for them to be CG! and pixar works for disney. they're not head-to-head. but pixar should be the ones who do the computer animation stuff! not disney!

  • I like how Disney was before. Villains' songs are always the best. Join me to sing "Poor Unfortunate Soul"? I like Lilo & Stitch and the new movie, WALL-E. I wish they would go back to 2-D animation and each one stays with what they do best with.

  • @InvaderKelsea I totally agree, because doing 2D animation is like hitting the GYM!!

  • Omg i love ur accent

  • LOL Flaming Farts.

  • i totally agree with you!! I would like to add something: *ahem* "Many of the Disney Classics, like Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, etc are getting sequels now. This makes absolutely no sense because they were perfect. I think Disney is making sequels and remakes of the old masterpieces because they want more people to watch Disney again. But instead of making sequels, (which STINK!!) they need to come up with a new idea with lots of sining, just like before. BRING OLD DISNEY BACK!!!!!!!!

  • Atlantis sucked. Disney films sucked after about the late 90's.

  • Even now I re-wind scars song like 10 times when I watch the lion king >.>

    Love your accent btw.

  • God it's so true.

  • Thank You =^_^= I totally agree.

However, I will admit to being a huge fan of Meet The Robinsons for the story. However, you're right about not getting the same feeling you got with movies like Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King.

  • I agree with you about the hunchback of notre dame music,it's amazing.^.^

  • Like darkcl4w said, Amen! Disney seems to be stuck in the hole again. By the way I love the accent!

  • You say the absolute truth!!! 2-D animation is soo much better than the 3-D cinematic crap that is being thrown out into theaters. I can only hope Disney will get tired of doing 3-D animation.

  • @blackmagegirl Wow, we must be proud of ourselves to know that diligence is one of the Seven Holy Virtues, so 2D is more diginified that 3D.

  • You start to sound Aussie near the end of the first minute, lol

  • Aussie?

  • From Ausrailia.

  • Anyone seen chiwahwah?,That looks TERRIBLE..

most of the movies you said like tarzan are awesome.

  • Oh yes I've seen it and straight after I found myself getting a shot of whisky out ¬¬

  • Amen.

The reason you can't remember any music from Atlantis is that there WASN'T ANY. They made a specific decision to avoid any and all musical numbers. Only one of the many strange points of that movie.

Disney seems to think 2d is like silent film or something, an outdated tech. As you hinted at, the reason their last 2d attempts didn't sell was that they sucked, not because they were 2d. I'm afraid we may never see another solid 2d movie from them. The department is gone, after all.

  • I was just thinking about "The Great Mouse Detective" yesterday, saw some great clips browsing Youtube, and I couldn't help thinking "God, what's happened to this company? Where's that genius gone?"

If it's any comfort, that new movie about the dog who thinks he's a super-hero looks promising. It's 3d, but it's independent Disney, not Pixar. And from the trailers at least, it seems to be successfully avoiding the lame pop-culture references and poor story that have haunted their recent stuff.

  • Oooh, and you did mention Bolt. *Laughs* That's what I get for commenting before watching the whole vid. I stand by what I said though: I think it's a definite improvement over what they've managed to come up in recent times.

  • I loved The great mouse detective! <3

hahaha they had violence, beer and even a cartoon mouse showgirl 0.o I cringe at the cencorship they have over things these days.

  • At the risk of being redundant, Amen again! God do I hate Political Correctness. Shave off all the rough edges and pointy corners of life and you're left with a colorless, flavorless cube of "creative" tofu without even nutritional value to salvage it. The real conflict these days isn't liberal vs. conservative. It's stupidity versus wisdom, and there's plenty of the former on both sides :P. Thank goodness for the Internet: at least they haven't muzzled/ruined that. Yet.

  • are you tslking about underdog?

  • ^^ Awesome, I totally agree. I was watching Alladin the other day and was wonder WTF Disney is thinking now a days ;[

  • i think talespin was a great effort from them

  • I don't really have a problem with the Disney TV cartoons. But I rather liked Talespin :3

  • yes it was wonderful

i think they have the Voulme one and two of Talespin now and the thrid one is coming soon with the uncut movie

i love the singing from the pirates, baloo, and escappilay rebbeca and molly along with kit

  • Nice drawings :3

  • thanks ^^

  • great rant, ur right all the way, disney sucks now..

  • agreed..but it's not bad i just miss the old disney

  • i agree alot with what you said. i mean im not going to say i hate the new movies i think they are cute but they dont have the quality they did before. the only disney movie i really didn't like is walle. i just went and saw that today and i was really disappointed. im only 15 but i can tell the difference from the old movies to the new. i grew up watching everyone of the old movies and all the movies from the 90s. disney needs to go back to how is was.

  • i thought brother bear was pretty good...but it had the potential to be wayy better imo.

    anyway eveything u said - i agree...

  • That was good stuff. I will say that I enjoyed Meet the Robinsons very much, but I agree with the rest. I enjoyed listening.
