Here we are with the star thing again. You Moon hoax people always say the same stuff. Listen you would not see stars with bright daylight reflection off things, your pupils would be too small. You obviously aren't a photographer! Try shooting stars with a narrow shutter opening.

That retroreflector stuff is so lame (4:50). A laser still does have divergence albeit less than a normal light. At the distance of the moon a tiny cubic mirror will make absolutely no difference to the power of the reflected signal. They were bouncing lasers off the moon since the 60's as mentioned. The moon is 380,000km away FFS! Some tiny mirror makes a difference? Oh please.

First off, he never said in the program that it was "impossible" for a laser beam to be reflected back from the lunar surface (he never used the word "impossible"). It was just not possible using the laser beam used by the Apache Observatory. Secondly, the 1962 experiments were different experiments, i.e. different laser, and accordingly a different setup. So, my question is, what's your point in asking such a question? Cheers

Doubtful. Plait SPECIFICALLY refers to the interview on Nardwaur radio. In his blog about Kaysing's death, Plait writes: "he was still wrong, and made claims that are sickening (NASA killed the Apollo 1 astronauts to keep them quiet; NASA blew up Challenger on purpose to keep the astronauts quiet about the “fact” that space travel is impossible"

A link to the interview in question is in the sidebar. No where does Kaysing claim that space travel is impossible and in fact he specifically says unmanned lunar probes possibly did go to the moon. Possible is the opposite of impossible.

@WhiteJarrah After skimming the page, I've seen a few things that might point to Plait thinking that, which I won't get into detail about (in comments, anyway.), which could lead to the possible conclusion that he just read what Kaysing said wrong. Maybe he thought Kaysing didn't think MANNED space flight was possible.

Either way, it's a moot friggin' point. It really has nothing to do with the Moon landing conspiracy, does it? This all just feels like a way to discredit your opponents.

I'm not sure what to think about Mr Plait's avoiding the interview he said he'd do. I'm also thinking it's unlikely he found time during all that to stop and look you up and watch your videos. After all, if he had that kind of time, why not just talk directly with you?

He did claim he was to busy to answer a few questions and that Jarrah first had to set up an interview, one he claimed at first he'd do.

Do I think this changes anything? No, I still think we went to the moon. I just think men should honor their word or not give it at all.
