Amazing video of the throngs of people protesting shut down of Radio Nova. IF only folks wold protest over what is currently on-air..not so much in Ireland and the U.K. but here.stateside. It's radio on life support. Virtually all the "live and local" elements removed..the great music..especially breaking music..removed as well as the wonderful..one on one DJ's and presenters.
Radio is a shadow of it's former self.
"Radio Goo Goo". Well..come back radio.."someone STILL loves you".
Hi Guys... all the Irish Era of Pirate Radio material I have, including audio, stills, and press clippings are being remastered to DV, will be re-edited and avilble via dedicated website.
The simple VHS Edits from 1979 through 1990, known as The Irish Era of Pirate Radio, Parts 1 to 7, will be made availble as DVDs un-retouched.
Thanks for posting. I remember listening to the closedown back in 83. Nice to see behind the scenes. There was never a station like Nova and I don't think there ever will be again. Great memories !
OMG! Is that Dobbo at 1.38??!!!!
